Anyone staying at this hotel should take the time to walk about 2km to the north - you will arrive at the Hutongs, the old dwellings in the heart of Beijing that were built back in the Ming dynasty over 500 years ago. Walking through them you feel like you have stepped back into Chinese history, and there are magnificent wonders to be found on every street corner.
