That Mini Prunus R818 FM Bluetooth radio is a little beauty with its Art Deco-inspired design and light-up dial with surprisingly rich sound that punches above its weight. As you said, Todd, it just needs an antenna or antenna connection at the back because no one wants to spend time holding a radio for proper reception and not at that price. :)

With a full charge of the battery, the radio works for about 7 hours. Thanks for your presentations, if I didn't have you, I wouldn't have these amazing radios.
Very interesting radio. Though I suggest you two superlative choices: Sangean WR7 wooden radio: a micro tabletop radio, with astounding sound and 36! hours playback, Fm, BT and Aux inputs. And the Muzen Wodden Radio, very similar to the Prunus, also astounding sound, many more hours of playback, detachable FM telescopic antenna, and also FM, BT and AuX inputs. I have both of them, and the Sangean performs incredible well. The Sangean are around $85 and the Muzen about $110. best wishes Todd!
Nothin' proprietary about that cable, most cheap speaker/radios that I've come across without a 3.5mm jack have one like that. Power delivery is (or should be) the same as a normal microUSB so don't worry about keeping track of it for charging if you never use the 3.5mm jack. I always give it a test before tossing the cable just to be sure though. I modified one of these cables once to only have the 3.5mm jack, and in doing so discovered that it would not be at all hard to make your own version of the cable if you know what you're doing with a Multimeter and a soldering iron, since the 2 wires that are normally the data lanes of the USB cable are just being used as simple L/R channels for the analog audio signal. Anyhow, just figured I'd share in case anyone is worried they won't be able to charge the thing if they lose the cable.
You're a good guy to spend $$$ & review these radios. Like you, wish it provided at least access to plug in an antenna. Oh well... It sounds nice & I like the wood cabinet. Keep up the good work... IDK... Do you ever sleep?

The FM transmitter sounded good and also the radio have a great sound
