Great question! So it’s not actually 2560x1440p its 2278x1282p, now yes it’s not 1440p (I simplified my explanation in the video) but it’s still significantly crispier than 1080p.
I'm about to get this monitor but first of all i have some questions (sorry) 1) I will use it pretty closely to my eyes (like 1 and a half meter) on my Ps5 so, does the pannel looks good? I mean, you can cleary see the images without seeing pixels? 2) i saw into the video the ps5 gaming performances but, is the colors really that good? Blacks are more dark grey and that’s completely normal for IPS panels. If you want getter blacks, VA panels are your go to but your viewing angles wont be as good as IPS panels. That’s the cheapest option. Look for OLED panels for a way more versatile performance, but you’ll need to dump more cash.
i bought this screen for my ps5 but i am not happy with the colors at the moment. I don't understand much about how to calibrate a monitor, so I don't know how to do it. I've been going through the settings of the screen for a while but can't find the best color settings. Do you maybe have tips on how to get the best colors and image quality from this screen on the ps5 or possibly share the settings of the monitor with me. Can this do 120 Hz in hdmi, as I've read it is limited to 100hz. As I'm looking on getting this monitor for my ps5 and Xbox series s. I've read it can only do the 144hz in display port mode which is no use for consoles. Just looking for some more information on this you see. Great video by the way. 👍🏻
It would be nice if you provided links to the items (vesa stand, light-bar) and services (calibration) that you mention in the video. When it comes to vesa stands, it is a nightmare trying to navigate what is available, so if you have had positive (and negative) experiences with a certain model or brand it would be nice to know. Also don't know anything about light-bars, are they LED, use usb or 110volts, many questions? Oh ... I already own this monitor!

The red does not stand out at all! The red accents are on the back of the monitor and monitor stand so it should be fine for a lavender setup :D great question!

Hey, just bought this monitor and struggled to get 1440p at 120 fps but I was able to make it work. You need to disable "free synch" on your monitor, and disable HDR on the PS5 video settings. And you don't need an HDMI 2.1 cable for that (the monitor only has 2.0 ports anyways). Hope that helps!
i have a question. it it true in order to get the full 144hz you have to bring down resolution to 1080p? been looking around but haven't had any luck. the other video i watched said at 1440p it only does 120hz.
@@ricko6514 keep in mind, if you’re on pc, that you will have to go into your monitor settings and manually change the refresh rate from 60hz to 144hz (standard practice for all high refresh rate monitors)
Hey bro i have a RTX2060 and a AOC monitor right now that's 144hz 1ms and is GSYNC but the monitor screen tears unless i turn on GSYNC. The problem is i dislike using GSYNC because in games like valorant where there's high fps there's tiny micro stutters. capping fps makes it kinda smoother but its still there. I just want to buy a monitor that has no screen tearing when I'm not using GSYNC or VSYNC Does this LG 27gl83a-b 27 inch screen tear with GSYNC off?
Ok so from my understanding screen tear is inevitable unless you use some form of v sync tech. One method I found online is to use triple buffering to eliminate tear. Tearing is caused by how you set up the graphics in your game more than the monitor itself. Hope this helps!

I am curious if the Display port will completely remove ghosting since it does 1440p 144hz because the monitor itself recommends the"faster" response time if its at144hz.

@@noahcastanier8174 I’m not too technical but the PS5 HDR doesn’t allow for 120fps gameplay at 1440p. The monitor has its own HDR so it’s really not an issue. I have been playing for 2 months with it and it’s been a blast. I don’t have anything to compare it with but I’m 100% satisfied so far for my use. Response time is insane, perfect for FPS.

How far do you need to be in order to game properly? I'm looking to buy a monitor but I think they are all too small I want to be able to sit from a 1.5 m. Currently I'm using a 26" tv at 1360 x768. at 2560x1440 I don't think I'll be able to sit at the same distance.
So 26” and 27” diagonal is not a substantial difference in size. If you feel your current tv is small then a 27” monitor is not gonna really cut it at a 1.5m distance. I’m usually gaming at a distance

Did you previously play on big glossy tv screens - if so this “film” is a anti reflective coating to reduce light from making ugly reflections on the monitor itself! Now yes it may feel unnatural at first but this matte texture is built into the monitor and you get used to it! It is not a blur or fuzz it’s a matte anti reflective coating, trying to remove it will destroy the monitor!! How long have you had it? Play in lower light conditions for 1-2 weeks and you’ll learn to appreciate it, trust me!!

Now if you want glossy monitors for gaming there are options but currently they are wildly expensive and it’ll be a little before glossy monitors become more mainstream, hope this helps! Also PS5 if you’re a console gamer should now have the option to play at 1440p and that might also alleviate your “blur” issue in game - if you’re a pc gamer check your resolution and make sure it’s 1440p

Great question! Here are the settings I use: Gamer 1 Game Adjust - Adaptive sync ON - Black Stabilizer 55 - Responmse time Fast Picture Adjust - Brightness 23 - Contrast 70 - Sharpness 60 - Gamma Mode 2 - Color Temp Custom -R/G/B Red(58) Green(49) Blue(58)
If you’re okay with getting 100fps - 110fps in games (med/high settings, you’d probs will get more frames with low settings) at 1440p it’s def worth it! 1440p is extremely crispy in comparison to 1080p from my experience and a far more pleasurable experience for story based games.

I used it in warzone, with the 5700xt and had a great experience myself. The game is not well optimized but you should get 90-100 fps with medium settings, will you see clearer at a range: Yes for sure, at a distance objects are clearly defined

No, downscaling is done by the monitor not by the ps5 (from my understanding). This should not have an impact on your console performance or reaction times.
Are you asking for what length hdmi cable you’d need if you vesa mount the monitor? If that’s the question I’d say maybe like an extra 1ft to 3ft of cable so you have full range of motion!

If you’re using it on PC that is not true. If it’s on console, you’ll get 120hz as that’s the consoles limitation afaik.

The easiest fix is to set the monitor to the second fastest response rate! Iirc this is a known problem with the fastest response boost setting.

Hey, I bought it yesterday and went through hell to make this work. Here's what you need to do: disable free synch in your monitor settings and disable HDR from the PS5 video settings. And HDMI 2.0 cable is fine. Let me know if that works for you!
