중간에 남편 택으로 바꾼거 너무 티나요 중반?거의 중후반까지는 그으렇게 어남류 떡밥을 한트럭으로 퍼붓더니 김정환은 끝까지 뒤에서 아련하게 쳐다보기만 하는 서브남주로 전락시키고 이럴거면 그렇게 떡밥을 뿌리지 말던가 중간에 노선바꿀거면 좀 개연성있게 시청자들이 이해할수 있게 하던가 어남택 밝혀진 이후로는 완전히 씹다버린 껌취급 캐릭터한테도 예의없어
Jung Hwan meant every word and Deok Sun knew he did. She didn’t know how to respond and couldn’t help but keep looking for Taek every time the door opened. That was enough proof for Jung Hwan to understand that his first love was not his to claim anymore, and he gave her up. He knew that Deok Sun’s heart beat for someone else…this scene is so subtle yet beautiful.
@@purplemilkpotion6770 I feel you! I'll share the things I noticed which helped me come to terms with everything. Taek always did go the extra mile for DS without hesitating, which is why JH admits that "Taek wanted her more than me."(He even forfeited his match and came running to her all sweaty and panting but we only saw JH's POV). Even in their photo parallels, I noticed that JH teases her for not covering up to which she angrily says he should have given her his jacket. This is a sharp contrast from how before Taek and DS' picture, he outright says she looks pretty when she feels ugly to which she mentions that she is wearing his sweater. Later for JH's picture she remains shocked when he pulls her in but for Taek she breaks into a smile. They just go well together naturally, especially because DS is a bit insecure and dense so needs someone to appreciate her openly to avoid confusion/hurt. Although I loved JH I could tell throughout the show that her crushes on SW and JH were kind of childish/dependent on them liking her first but for Taek, she liked him on her own and unconditionally. In fact, I think she liked him all along (she only realizes completely when DR asks her to go for who she herself likes) so even if JH arrived to the concert first it wouldn't have changed her mind so drastically. In my head I just know that JH finds a girl more suited to him and they have an amazing relationship as well haha. I just wish we could see the adult characters together!
@@iMusikkForeva The thing is I have to disagree... relationships are really about timing. DK spent soo much time crushing on JH but for the longest time it wasn't even obvious that he liked her. To us the viewers yes it was obvious but to her it wasn't because like JH he kept missing the timing. I honestly believe if JH had spoken up earlier and was true to his feelings Taek wouldn't have stood a chance. I think with Taek he made her feel she isn't the one that has to do all the liking, like you said he gave her confidence and she didn't have to be confused or insecure about his feelings. A great part of the show is spent with DK trying to find out if JH likes her too. That scene where she buys him a shirt and then she sees his brother wearing it... you should see the light dim in her eys.

It broke my heart that they didn't even get a chance to talk seriously about their feelings, they kinda just left it at that. You saw it in Deok sun's eyes that she knew that what he was saying was sincere:( I feel so baaaad.
Jung Hwan knew by her expression and constantly looking at the door for Taek, that she only wanted Taek then…so they both kind of silently let the confession slide to avoid further awkwardness
Just finish rewatching it and now I understand it better. She love Taek from the beggining. She liked Taek more than JH even in 1988. She just didn't realize it. She likes the idea of relationship and wants to expirience it so she thought liking back the people who likes her is the requirement. Which is why she only started paying attention to JH when she confirmed JH's feelings. DK did not understand love well, but if you pay attention to her actions you'll know whom she have liked even before, everytime Taek leans on her she freezes and stop on track, you can almost see how nervous she is, she choose Taek's glove over JH's, the way she looked at him when he carried her on the playground, the way she got mad when Taek bailed on her, and why she stayed in the room when Taek asked her to go home soon, also the fact that she kissed him back! In that unguarded moment, she close her eyes without hesitation and kissed him back. Afterall, he is the only person she couldn't bear to risk ruining their friendship was Taek. Like how strong Junghwan's love is, how He hesitated to Deoksun, Deoksun hesitated the same way but for Taek. Besides knowing how Deoksun, craves for affection and how insecure she can sometimes become, Taek is best fit for her. He never ridiculed her in anyway, not even as a joke. He prioritized her over his match which was a big deal since they said Baduk is all he cared about. Deoksun deserved to be prioritize as well. Deoksun is far more matured when she is with Taek, and is on her best behavior. She still goofs around and he laughs with her, DK is known to have a character that makes people around her feel better, so having Taek around her also makes her feel better which is a returned favour. Nobody deserves her like he does, and vice versa. They fit perfectly and naturally and this is good example to all people out there, that love isn't forced, it isn't something you can get just by returning someone's affection, it isn't forced, nor rushed, it is not something that should change you totally, it should make you a better person but without loosing yourself, it isn't something you can easily associate with decisions that only lasts overnight. Love is patient, love is kind, love is faithful, love is understanding.
One fine thing about this series is that most people's hearts were broken when jungpal doesn't get dokseon..but we don't hate choi taek for it..this series is really a masterpiece of friendship and love .. n beautiful acting by actors
Maybe it's just me that I am not a fan of the character choi taek. I don't dislike him but I find him very weird. He is a very sweet, caring guy like a baby but something is off about him. I didn't feel their chemistry at all and I find his smile very creepy like those creepy ass muppets or clowns. In the end I would've liked if taek did mention to dok seon that jung kwan really loved her and let dok seon choose whom she likes. It would be a good closure for jung kwan even if she chose taek. But in the end taek became selfish and we got this ending.
@@shijowilson i understand, it's ok if you don't like a character. Many may find him weird but I love this whole drama and each character in this drama . I guess , it works for me . I don't exactly remember where but someone wrote that doek sun knew jungpal liked her ,as he confessed to her , but she already had chosen taek by that time . Similarly like you said i also wanted her to know that jungpal also liked her , but it's just the perception i think . The writers write it in such a way that we hold different perceptions.
@@Stutiirawat I agree with you but it's very painful for me. I just finished the show yesterday so the trauma is very fresh😭 and this drama was in my all time favourites and would've rewatched it multiple times but now I don't think I can watch a single episode again.

When i finish watching episode 16 i search what is ending of reply 1988 then they show duk seon kissing taek and he is husband. I was very angry. Got depressed. Can't able to think anything. Then they also show jung hwan purposing duk seon this is really heartbreaking moment for me. After the 16 episode i dont want to see the next episode but i want to know what happens to everyone. So i watch full episodes. Now i dont know what to do next now im depressed. What you did to overcome this jung hwan and duk seon couple

But when i found out that those two(hyeri and ryu jun yeol) are dating in real life, i feel at ease. Also, Taek deserves deok seon as well as he was honest and straightforward to his feelings to seondeok unlike jung hwan who always hesitating

I guess I’m the only person who loved the story line. It was so unexpected and not like the usual lovely ending everyone expects. Like junghwan said fate is timing and he didn’t try hard enough. It tore my heart but it was sooo good 😭🥺❤️
You are the only person with whom I can completely agree with. The ending gives total uniqueness to the drama. If jung hwan and douksona ended up together it would be like some other romance dramas. Because of the ending we can't move on from the drama.

DS and Taek are cute, but it was always that Taek needed DS to take care of him, while Junghwan took care of DS. I love that about them. I was heartbroken when they didn't end up together. Personally I like DS and Taek more than close friends or brother/sister type, DS treated him like a bigger sis or mother, while there was always that great tension with Junghwan.
Ds and CT were too close , they were normal with each other , she understood him really well he supported her silently ,took care of her , smiled at her , was open about his love for her . Where as junghwan was bit hesitant just a bit . Actually I shipped her with both of them and was okay if she ended up with any one of them . But in drama DS was meant for CT and in real life heyri is for Ryu . Just wish and hope they last long gets married 💜💜💜💜💜😍😍😍
Taek too took care of her. It's just that he was not around much due to his matches. Let's not forget, he forfeited a match just for her. But, ya, I agree, the sexual tension between her and JH was more apparent! ❣️

So did them sleeping on the same bed. I honestly never saw that kind of chemistry with taek even with the kissing scenes.
THIS IS EXACTLY HOW I FEEL! Taek was always the one to be taken care of in their relationship so it seems like they have brother sister relationship whereas I imagine Junghwan and DS wouldve equally taken care of each other even though Junghwan is not expressive of how he feels.
사람들은 팬심으로 어남류라고 한게 아니다. 모든 스토리가 정환이와 덕선이의 관계로 18회를 이어간다.(물론 중간중간 택이와의 관계도 있지만 정환이와 비교하자면 온도가 다르다) 사람들이 이토록 좋아했던 드라마에 실망을 한 이유는 극적인 반전이라고 느껴지지 않고 오히려 우롱하는듯한 느낌을 받았기 때문일거다. 이 반전은 덕선이를 바보로 만들었고 정환이를 그리고 택이까지 모두 바보로 만드는 결말이었다. 그리고 시청자를 너무 바보로 보았다.
uhm actually although the storytelling was from JH’s perspective, everything else in the drama was all pointing to TK. That’s why unlike overseas fans, many korean fans did catch early on that TK is the husband. I myself became sure that TK was the husband by episode 6, during the narration of Lee Munse, but many caught on by the first 2 episodes. There are endless amount of foreshadowing and metaphors that are all pointing to TK. I rewatched the entire series 3 times and now I am convinced that by episode 2, you are given pretty much all clues. For example, when TK enters his room in episode 1, the camera focuses on the swing clock at 6pm, and it rings 6 times, indicating that TK will make his real appearance in episode 6.
Even though he didn’t end up with her in the drama, let’s not forget that Dukseon actually likes him before Taek. She even pretended she hurt her ankle so that Junghwan can held her hand. Although he didn’t win her in this drama, he actually did in real life. Long live love birds ♥️

lol I even postponed watching the last episodes after I found out Dukseon chose Taek over Jung Hwan 💔 but then after awhile I continued watching the series and ended up shipping Taek and Dukseon 😂😂
I also agree. She and Jung Hwan got to do more things together and had like cute scenes throughout the drama. Taek and Deok Sun were just like brother and sister throughout the drama until at the end they both kissed and then started having a few moments together. I was glad to hear that Hyeri and Ryu were together in real life. But I really wanted the character Deok Sun and Jung Hwan to be together.

For me the fact that she didn't end up with him is what makes this show a masterpiece. 😌 Junwan's story resembled real life, where most do not take the first step towards the thing they love, because they are way too hesitant. I think the writer wanted the viewers to feel that pain of regret so as to be more fearless. For me, the scene where he gives the ring was like the climax of the story (may be that is why it was in last of the episodes), after which everything wraps up. The whole show was built around this. Damn, I love all the works of this writer-director duo. All their shows have so many layers.❤️
This is it. This is the point. When I see people's comments that DK never really like JH and she only liked him cause she thought he liked her am like did you watch the show? JH spent most of the show hesitating, his feelings were clear to the viewers but to DK they weren't, which is why Taek wins out. DK has been insecure most of her life, and she really put herself out there as best as she could for JH, but she needed someone like Taek who relies on her and can boost her self confidence by being vocal.

When Jung Hyun confessed, DeokSun already likes Choi Taek then, and JH is aware of that that's why he just said it's a joke. But they bith know it's a real confession. You can see understanding in their eyes. Man this is giving me LaLaLand feels. Makes us think about tge what ifs.
Jung Hwan deeply cared for his people without saying , his hesitations weren't totally on part of his own fault ...he started to drift apart from deoksun after taek admitted his love for deoksun ....how can we forget that he was the one who waited for her tying his shoes so he could just walk with deoksun, he waited for her to return home, when she asked him to join her, he just ran to her and , the photo, how he took the chance to have a pic with her when she wasn't expecting it...... He didn't want his friend to get hurt, that's why some part of him hesitated , that's how he was....and the confession at the end ....Jung Hwan already caught eyes of deoksun looking for taek , his confession was not on part of getting accepted or rejected by deoksun, it was more of letting deoksun go without hurting her or taek, that's why he dismissed his confession as a joke....it was more of timing and situation than his hesitations......he literally is my favourite character from reply 1988.....my heart broke when I found out that he didn't end with his first love....but he handled it with so much maturity.....I'm really proud of him❤️

존나 완벽했는데 최택이랑 이어지는 루트로 급바뀌면서 좆망한 드라마ㅋ 첨에 정환 덕선땜에 개설랬는데 뒤로 가면 갈수록 머리아픔;; 누가봐도 어남류 였는데 갑자기 바꾼 티 너무 나;; 작가야 대체 왜 그랬냐 제발 진짜 지금 생각해도 너무 아쉽다..; 미래에 덕선이 남편이 누가봐도 정환이잖아ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

응칠에서 태웅이도 마지막은 행복해했고 응사에서 칠봉이도 마지막은 행복했는데 왜 정환이는 그냥 사라진건지 아직도의문.. 택이가 남편이면 정환이도 다른 사람을 만났다던가 아님 혼자살던가 이런 모습을 보여줬어야돼😭 물론 정환이가 남편인게 가장이상적이었지만.. 응칠 응사엔 있었던 떡밥 수집하는 장면도 응팔에는 없어서 정말 넘 아쉬웠음😭 반지주는씬 진짜 젼나 슬퍼ㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠ 류준열이랑 혜리랑 진짜 사겨서 정말 행복 그자체.. 남 연애하는거보고 이렇게까지 행복한적은없다
작가도 힘들었나봐요.. 둘이 결혼식 장면도 촬영 안했자나요.. 택이랑 오붓하게 시청자들이 감정을 다시 돌릴수 있을 정도로 이야기를 풀어나가거나 데이트 다운 데이트도 안하고.. 동네 사람들에게 둘이 안사귄다고 말하고 나서 걍 몇년후 결혼 했다 설정.. ㅋㅋㅋㅋ 분명 정상적인 전개는 아님.

해피엔딩인 드라마를 진짜 펑펑 오열하면서 본 건 처음이었음.. 진짜 감정낭비 오져서 세상 끝난듯한 허망함 밀려오고.. 나같은 어남류 분들은 19는 봤어도 20까진 안보셨던데, 나는 19,20 몰아서 하루한날 봄... 진짜 펑펑 오열하면서ㅜㅠㅜㅠ 정환이 너무 불쌍해서ㅜㅠㅜ 사랑하는 여자는 사랑하는 친구에게 보내고, 청춘은 나라에 바치는 엔딩이라니 진짜 개잔인해ㅜㅠㅜㅠㅠ
That "confession" scene was very important for JH because that will give him the idea to decide whether to pursue or stop what he really feels for DS. After confessing, DS just remain silent and obviously that silence is an answer for JH to stop his feelings for her.
I loved everything about this love triangle. Taek is perfect for Deok Seon and there's no denying to it. Deok seon needed someone who's vocal with their love, shows affection and depends on her. Taek needed someone to depend onto. On the other hand Jung Hwan' love is so pure. He always made sure if Deok Seon is safe. He adored her. Never intended to take her away from Taek. Never saw it as a competition. His confession felt like a closure to me. It was like he's clearing up things before moving on. He didn't want a reply from her. His confession was in past tense and that's what made me cry. Thanks for coming to my ted talk
I have bittersweet feelings for this drama. I cried with Jung hwan and I was really happy that Dokhsun ended up with taek. And I always come back to this drama.BEST drama of all time
처음부터 보면 근데 복선 엄청 많고 애초에 선우 정환이는 친구들의 부추김이 있었고 택이를 향한 마음은 스스로가 정해서 좋아한겁니다. 운동장에서 안고 뛸때 반해버렸죠. 어쨌든 졸업후 몇년동안 둘다 아무런 직진을 안했고 결국 공연장에 먼저 도착한건 택이. 덕선이는 정환이가 왔다간 것도 모르고 고딩때 잠시 있던 정환이를 향한 감정과 첫키스에서 오는 택이를 향한 설렘이 일단 비교불가라고 생각해요. 화를 낼꺼면 다시 처음부터 보고와서 하셨으면 ㅠㅠ 저도 정환이 안돼서 충격이었는데 몇년후에 다시보니 첨부터 택이더라구요... 응칠 응사와 차이점은 여주의 성격 자존감 등에 있는거 같습니다. 그리고 마지막 정환이 고백씬에 덕선이 표정이 씁쓸하죠 장난으로 넘겼지만 사소한것 하나하나 기억 하는게 사실은 진심이란걸 아는듯이. 그리고 택이를 기다리며 문이 열릴때마다 문을 바라봐요 정환이도 눈치를 채고... 응칠 응사에서 같은 패턴이 나와서 같은 결말을 기대한건 저희 설레발이지 덕선이 잘못도 작가님 잘못도 아닌거 같네요 ㅠㅠ 보이는 것만 믿는 건데 뭐...

Jung Hwan meant every word and Deok Sun knew he did. She didn’t know how to respond and couldn’t help but keep looking for Taek every time the door opened. That was enough proof for Jung Hwan to understand that his first love was not his to claim anymore, and he gave her up. He knew that Deok Sun’s heart beat for someone else…this scene is so subtle yet beautiful.
I'm on episode 19 and my heart is really sad :(( Idk it feels so broken.

Taek always did go the extra mile for DS without hesitating, which is why JH admits that "Taek wanted her more than me."(He even forfeited his match and came running to her all sweaty and panting but we only saw JH's POV). Even in their photo parallels, I noticed that JH teases her for not covering up to which she angrily says he should have given her his jacket. This is a sharp contrast from how before Taek and DS' picture, he outright says she looks pretty when she feels ugly to which she mentions that she is wearing his sweater. Later for JH's picture she remains shocked when he pulls her in but for Taek she breaks into a smile. They just go well together naturally, especially because DS is a bit insecure and dense so needs someone to appreciate her openly to avoid confusion/hurt. Although I loved JH I could tell throughout the show that her crushes on SW and JH were kind of childish/dependent on them liking her first but for Taek, she liked him on her own and unconditionally. In fact, I think she liked him all along (she only realizes completely when DR asks her to go for who she herself likes) so even if JH arrived to the concert first it wouldn't have changed her mind so drastically. In my head I just know that JH finds a girl more suited to him and they have an amazing relationship as well haha. I just wish we could see the adult characters together!

@@iMusikkForeva The thing is I have to disagree... relationships are really about timing. DK spent soo much time crushing on JH but for the longest time it wasn't even obvious that he liked her. To us the viewers yes it was obvious but to her it wasn't because like JH he kept missing the timing. I honestly believe if JH had spoken up earlier and was true to his feelings Taek wouldn't have stood a chance. I think with Taek he made her feel she isn't the one that has to do all the liking, like you said he gave her confidence and she didn't have to be confused or insecure about his feelings. A great part of the show is spent with DK trying to find out if JH likes her too. That scene where she buys him a shirt and then she sees his brother wearing it... you should see the light dim in her eys.
류준열은 정말 츤데레의 정석이다...... 이 캐릭터 찰떡이었음 딱 류준열=김정환 그 자체였다 ㅠㅠ 무조건 어남류일 줄 알았는데 갑자기 노선 바뀌어서 얼마나 황당했었는지 흑흑 현실에서라도 이루어져서 다행 ㅠㅠ

Just finish rewatching it and now I understand it better. She love Taek from the beggining. She liked Taek more than JH even in 1988. She just didn't realize it. She likes the idea of relationship and wants to expirience it so she thought liking back the people who likes her is the requirement. Which is why she only started paying attention to JH when she confirmed JH's feelings. DK did not understand love well, but if you pay attention to her actions you'll know whom she have liked even before, everytime Taek leans on her she freezes and stop on track, you can almost see how nervous she is, she choose Taek's glove over JH's, the way she looked at him when he carried her on the playground, the way she got mad when Taek bailed on her, and why she stayed in the room when Taek asked her to go home soon, also the fact that she kissed him back! In that unguarded moment, she close her eyes without hesitation and kissed him back. Afterall, he is the only person she couldn't bear to risk ruining their friendship was Taek. Like how strong Junghwan's love is, how He hesitated to Deoksun, Deoksun hesitated the same way but for Taek. Besides knowing how Deoksun, craves for affection and how insecure she can sometimes become, Taek is best fit for her. He never ridiculed her in anyway, not even as a joke. He prioritized her over his match which was a big deal since they said Baduk is all he cared about. Deoksun deserved to be prioritize as well. Deoksun is far more matured when she is with Taek, and is on her best behavior. She still goofs around and he laughs with her, DK is known to have a character that makes people around her feel better, so having Taek around her also makes her feel better which is a returned favour. Nobody deserves her like he does, and vice versa. They fit perfectly and naturally and this is good example to all people out there, that love isn't forced, it isn't something you can get just by returning someone's affection, it isn't forced, nor rushed, it is not something that should change you totally, it should make you a better person but without loosing yourself, it isn't something you can easily associate with decisions that only lasts overnight. Love is patient, love is kind, love is faithful, love is understanding.
One fine thing about this series is that most people's hearts were broken when jungpal doesn't get dokseon..but we don't hate choi taek for it..this series is really a masterpiece of friendship and love .. n beautiful acting by actors

Maybe it's just me that I am not a fan of the character choi taek. I don't dislike him but I find him very weird. He is a very sweet, caring guy like a baby but something is off about him. I didn't feel their chemistry at all and I find his smile very creepy like those creepy ass muppets or clowns. In the end I would've liked if taek did mention to dok seon that jung kwan really loved her and let dok seon choose whom she likes. It would be a good closure for jung kwan even if she chose taek. But in the end taek became selfish and we got this ending.
@@shijowilson i understand, it's ok if you don't like a character. Many may find him weird but I love this whole drama and each character in this drama . I guess , it works for me . I don't exactly remember where but someone wrote that doek sun knew jungpal liked her ,as he confessed to her , but she already had chosen taek by that time . Similarly like you said i also wanted her to know that jungpal also liked her , but it's just the perception i think . The writers write it in such a way that we hold different perceptions.

When i finish watching episode 16 i search what is ending of reply 1988 then they show duk seon kissing taek and he is husband.
I was very angry. Got depressed. Can't able to think anything. Then they also show jung hwan purposing duk seon this is really heartbreaking moment for me. After the 16 episode i dont want to see the next episode but i want to know what happens to everyone. So i watch full episodes. Now i dont know what to do next now im depressed. What you did to overcome this jung hwan and duk seon couple
@@pundesatish1001 i really ship for jung hwan and deok seon. I was broken hearted when deok seon ended up with taek. But when i found out that those two(hyeri and ryu jun yeol) are dating in real life, i feel at ease.
Also, Taek deserves deok seon as well as he was honest and straightforward to his feelings to seondeok unlike jung hwan who always hesitating

I guess I’m the only person who loved the story line. It was so unexpected and not like the usual lovely ending everyone expects. Like junghwan said fate is timing and he didn’t try hard enough. It tore my heart but it was sooo good 😭🥺❤️
You are the only person with whom I can completely agree with. The ending gives total uniqueness to the drama. If jung hwan and douksona ended up together it would be like some other romance dramas. Because of the ending we can't move on from the drama.

DS and Taek are cute, but it was always that Taek needed DS to take care of him, while Junghwan took care of DS. I love that about them. I was heartbroken when they didn't end up together. Personally I like DS and Taek more than close friends or brother/sister type, DS treated him like a bigger sis or mother, while there was always that great tension with Junghwan.
Ds and CT were too close , they were normal with each other , she understood him really well he supported her silently ,took care of her , smiled at her , was open about his love for her . Where as junghwan was bit hesitant just a bit . Actually I shipped her with both of them and was okay if she ended up with any one of them . But in drama DS was meant for CT and in real life heyri is for Ryu . Just wish and hope they last long gets married 💜💜💜💜💜😍😍😍
Taek too took care of her. It's just that he was not around much due to his matches. Let's not forget, he forfeited a match just for her.

So did them sleeping on the same bed. I honestly never saw that kind of chemistry with taek even with the kissing scenes.
THIS IS EXACTLY HOW I FEEL! Taek was always the one to be taken care of in their relationship so it seems like they have brother sister relationship whereas I imagine Junghwan and DS wouldve equally taken care of each other even though Junghwan is not expressive of how he feels.

사람들은 팬심으로 어남류라고 한게 아니다.
모든 스토리가 정환이와 덕선이의 관계로 18회를 이어간다.(물론 중간중간 택이와의 관계도 있지만 정환이와 비교하자면 온도가 다르다) 사람들이 이토록 좋아했던 드라마에 실망을 한 이유는 극적인 반전이라고 느껴지지 않고 오히려 우롱하는듯한 느낌을 받았기 때문일거다.
이 반전은 덕선이를 바보로 만들었고 정환이를 그리고 택이까지 모두 바보로 만드는 결말이었다. 그리고 시청자를 너무 바보로 보았다.

uhm actually although the storytelling was from JH’s perspective, everything else in the drama was all pointing to TK. That’s why unlike overseas fans, many korean fans did catch early on that TK is the husband. I myself became sure that TK was the husband by episode 6, during the narration of Lee Munse, but many caught on by the first 2 episodes. There are endless amount of foreshadowing and metaphors that are all pointing to TK. I rewatched the entire series 3 times and now I am convinced that by episode 2, you are given pretty much all clues. For example, when TK enters his room in episode 1, the camera focuses on the swing clock at 6pm, and it rings 6 times, indicating that TK will make his real appearance in episode 6.

lol I even postponed watching the last episodes after I found out Dukseon chose Taek over Jung Hwan 💔 but then after awhile I continued watching the series and ended up shipping Taek and Dukseon 😂😂
I also agree. She and Jung Hwan got to do more things together and had like cute scenes throughout the drama. Taek and Deok Sun were just like brother and sister throughout the drama until at the end they both kissed and then started having a few moments together. I was glad to hear that Hyeri and Ryu were together in real life. But I really wanted the character Deok Sun and Jung Hwan to be together.

Junwan's story resembled real life, where most do not take the first step towards the thing they love, because they are way too hesitant. I think the writer wanted the viewers to feel that pain of regret so as to be more fearless. For me, the scene where he gives the ring was like the climax of the story (may be that is why it was in last of the episodes), after which everything wraps up. The whole show was built around this.
Damn, I love all the works of this writer-director duo. All their shows have so many layers.❤️
This is it. This is the point. When I see people's comments that DK never really like JH and she only liked him cause she thought he liked her am like did you watch the show? JH spent most of the show hesitating, his feelings were clear to the viewers but to DK they weren't, which is why Taek wins out. DK has been insecure most of her life, and she really put herself out there as best as she could for JH, but she needed someone like Taek who relies on her and can boost her self confidence by being vocal.

When Jung Hyun confessed, DeokSun already likes Choi Taek then, and JH is aware of that that's why he just said it's a joke. But they bith know it's a real confession. You can see understanding in their eyes. Man this is giving me LaLaLand feels. Makes us think about tge what ifs.

Jung Hwan deeply cared for his people without saying , his hesitations weren't totally on part of his own fault ...he started to drift apart from deoksun after taek admitted his love for deoksun ....how can we forget that he was the one who waited for her tying his shoes so he could just walk with deoksun, he waited for her to return home, when she asked him to join her, he just ran to her and , the photo, how he took the chance to have a pic with her when she wasn't expecting it...... He didn't want his friend to get hurt, that's why some part of him hesitated , that's how he was....and the confession at the end ....Jung Hwan already caught eyes of deoksun looking for taek , his confession was not on part of getting accepted or rejected by deoksun, it was more of letting deoksun go without hurting her or taek, that's why he dismissed his confession as a joke....it was more of timing and situation than his hesitations......he literally is my favourite character from reply 1988.....my heart broke when I found out that he didn't end with his first love....but he handled it with so much maturity.....I'm really proud of him❤️
Maybe it's just me that I am not a fan of the character choi taek. I don't dislike him but I find him very weird. He is a very sweet, caring guy like a baby but something is off about him. I didn't feel their chemistry at all and I find his smile very creepy like those creepy ass muppets or clowns. In the end I would've liked if taek did mention to dok seon that jung kwan really loved her and let dok seon choose whom she likes. It would be a good closure for jung kwan even if she chose taek. But in the end taek became selfish and we got this ending.

That "confession" scene was very important for JH because that will give him the idea to decide whether to pursue or stop what he really feels for DS. After confessing, DS just remain silent and obviously that silence is an answer for JH to stop his feelings for her.
I loved everything about this love triangle. Taek is perfect for Deok Seon and there's no denying to it. Deok seon needed someone who's vocal with their love, shows affection and depends on her. Taek needed someone to depend onto.
On the other hand Jung Hwan' love is so pure. He always made sure if Deok Seon is safe. He adored her. Never intended to take her away from Taek. Never saw it as a competition.
His confession felt like a closure to me. It was like he's clearing up things before moving on. He didn't want a reply from her. His confession was in past tense and that's what made me cry.

I have bittersweet feelings for this drama. I cried with Jung hwan and I was really happy that Dokhsun ended up with taek. And I always come back to this drama.BEST drama of all time
처음부터 보면 근데 복선 엄청 많고 애초에 선우 정환이는 친구들의 부추김이 있었고 택이를 향한 마음은 스스로가 정해서 좋아한겁니다. 운동장에서 안고 뛸때 반해버렸죠. 어쨌든 졸업후 몇년동안 둘다 아무런 직진을 안했고 결국 공연장에 먼저 도착한건 택이. 덕선이는 정환이가 왔다간 것도 모르고 고딩때 잠시 있던 정환이를 향한 감정과 첫키스에서 오는 택이를 향한 설렘이 일단 비교불가라고 생각해요. 화를 낼꺼면 다시 처음부터 보고와서 하셨으면 ㅠㅠ 저도 정환이 안돼서 충격이었는데 몇년후에 다시보니 첨부터 택이더라구요... 응칠 응사와 차이점은 여주의 성격 자존감 등에 있는거 같습니다. 그리고 마지막 정환이 고백씬에 덕선이 표정이 씁쓸하죠 장난으로 넘겼지만 사소한것 하나하나 기억 하는게 사실은 진심이란걸 아는듯이. 그리고 택이를 기다리며 문이 열릴때마다 문을 바라봐요 정환이도 눈치를 채고... 응칠 응사에서 같은 패턴이 나와서 같은 결말을 기대한건 저희 설레발이지 덕선이 잘못도 작가님 잘못도 아닌거 같네요 ㅠㅠ 보이는 것만 믿는 건데 뭐...
