Omg that's gorgeous! I love it! Hey btw where'd you get your boots from :D I can't wait to make this dress for christmas this year, I'm new to this so if you have any advice I will happy take it lol
Thank you so much! I got the boots from a shoe store in a mall. That was several years ago, so I don’t remember the name of the store 😅. I know Macy and Amazon sell something similar though! I’m so happy to hear that you’re planning on making this! This is a super beginner friendly project, so I don’t think you should have many issues, but feel free to ask if you have any questions! (And feel free to send pictures as well if you want :D I would love to see your finished project! )
Hi! I love the video! I’m literally making this exact outfit right now and I accidentally happened upon this video. It’s super helpful. Also, you didn’t quite explain why you subtracted 4 from the circle skirt calculator but I assume its because the fabric is stretchy. Hoping mine comes out as good as yours!
Thank you so much! I'm so excited that you're making the same outfit!! And yes, short answer of why I subtracted 4 because the fabric is super stretchy. Long answer is that the waist of circle skirts are always cut on a bias, and the bias is the stretchiest part of any fabric! So if I didn't subtract a few inches for my waist measurement, the waist would be too big, and since the fabric is already stretchy, this would make the waist even bigger. I chose to subtract 4 inches because I wanted to make sure i really underestimate the amount of fabric I'm cutting out from the waist, so that if it does come out too small, I can simply cut the waist bigger.
supplies: -2 yd of crushed/stretchy velvet -1 yd soft waistband elastic -1yd of fur, or 4 yards of fur trim -1 yd piping, ribbon, or red fold over elastic -stuffing (Optional if you're using fur fabric) ^ this is also listed in the "show more" part of the description :)

@@crazyYTgal my fabric was really stretchy so I should have subtracted more but overall it turned out so good. Thanks again.
Could you sew the top and skirt together? So there's no gap (also how, I'm sort of a noob at sewing lol)
Absolutely! You can ignore the elastic and just sew the skirt directly to the top since the fabric I'm using is pretty stretchy on its own.
I need the fur … where can I find it ?? The fluffy one.
I got mine from Joanns! Check out www.joann.com/fabric/apparel-fabric/faux-fur-fabric/?lazyLoad=true&start=0&sz=30

Sorry, but what do you mean by application?
Where do we buy the fabric at the store or do we get it online ??
I get my fabric at JoAnns ( it's a fabric store). If you can't find it, you can try online!
