1996 Intruder Alarm System Demo - Menvier TS700

- Here’s another TS700 I now have. These systems would have been installed in residential, small commercial and small industrial buildings in the mid 1990s and possibly the early 2000s.
This one was installed by a company called Alarm Service Group, who used to install alarms in the south west of England. Unfortunately they aren’t around anymore (apart from a small company in one area called ASG Security).
Equipment:
-Menvier TS700 endstation
-Menvier TS700 LED remote keypad
-Optex FX-40 PIR
-CQR Maximal SC517/WH/G2 grade 2 tampered surface-mounted magnetic contacts
-Alarm Service Group branded Gardiner Technology NovaGard Midi external alarm box.
Most of the detectors on the system were Racal-Guardall Apollo Solo PIRs, and there was only one Optex FX-40. I was going to connect up an Apollo as well, but it was faulty, so I just used some contacts instead. The original contacts installed by Alarm Service Group were flush-mounted into the door and door frames.
I was going to connect a 16 Ohm extension speaker as well, however it turns out the speaker output is faulty, as it was crackling a lot.
The strobe on the bell box doesn’t work either.
Thanks for watching.
Looking forward to seeing your Yale HSA2000 alarm demo
Nice! A building near me has a later menvier system with those same pirs
Also nice demo btw
@@Alarmenthusiast48indeed it is
I’m in the US, so unfortunately I’ve missed out on a lot of these systems.
This particular system is my absolute favorite, I have far less knowledge on international alarm systems, but I’ve always found them fascinating.
It’s unfortunate they got rid of the rising entry and exit tones in later panels, definitely would love to see more on the system as I really wish I could get one working here in the US.
They require 240vac to work
Like the sound of the pannel
I like that novagard midi bellbox
Jesus that box is loud Barney! Love the tones tho
I forgot about the Barney thing….
@@alarmmuseumit's not your real name is it
@@User_FoxyFurry no it isn’t.
@@alarmmuseum I thought so
Why do people call u Barney then
@@User_FoxyFurry my guess is as good as yours.
Yay another video ^_^
As I type this, we’ve currently got Roshni alarms going off at my voluntary job. Been going over 3 hours now thanks to a panel fault, someone is coming out to have a look but lives far away urgh lol
Engineer has turned up and alarms have stopped, for now.. that was a brutal 4 and a bit hours lol
And for additional interest, the fire panel is a menvier MF400 model which we didn’t realise was capable of lifting up to stop the alarms 😂
Cool
Hey I managed to fix the keypad issue on optima MK7 but I don’t have the code how do I factory reset it
last video before going to ialty
@@fernlew8828 I’m back now so I have more videos planned.
I just submitted a bit for a flashguard xtra bellbox... only me has viewed 😮😅😂😊
I won but it's not coming 😢
It came but didn't have internals
@@Elliotgh2L bozo
🎉 interesting panel
and how many decibels does it have?
The alarm box is about 115dB I think. If the panel had a speaker connected, that would be about 90-100dB, but the speaker output is faulty so it’s just the quiet piezo buzzer in the keypad.
How do you wire up cqr cequra mk3s... someone wants to know
Not at your age you shouldn't
CAN YOU STOP NOW🤬
@@Elliotgh2no because you are annoying
What do chubb stridents sound like
I actually have no idea as no one has ever owned one in the community to my knowledge.
