So it doesn't work for off road, driving through mud, unless you stay at 12mph???

It works for 12mph and below. If you go past that, it disengages.

Thought it was 25mph, all I know is I miss my jeep. I could do 50mph in 4wd, and it handled way better than the 2013 rogue. Only issue is my gas mileage, and was losing antifreeze. But if you want something that handles great, and at higher speeds get a jeep or subaru.

It cuts off at 12 miles per hour. What a sham. I thought I was buy an all wheel drive car. 12 mph will help me get out of the driveway and after the driveway the all wheel drive is useless.

It's still AWD after that, it's just not a 50/50 split of power. It changes based on conditions

@@darkstarcaptaincrunk8745 I called the dealership. And they confirmed to me over the phone that AWD cuts off after 12 to 20 mph. The aWD lights cuts off too.

So Nissan's awd claims are pretty much false advertising. Since it shuts off after exceeding 25 mph, it's as useless as a politician.

AWD is still on after the lock expires people. The lock just holds it at 50-50 split. once it's off, it's normal AWD where the system decides the power split.

No...AWD is only good while driving less than 12mph the moment your speed exceeds 12mph AWD is automatically dis-engaged and no longer in use and your car returns to front wheel drive! (Garbage) system!

@Transitive Wisdom I got a chance to drive it in snow this past winter. I put my dash menu to the AWD menu and when the light turned off, the AWD continued to work, it just wasn't locked in 50/50 split. I was satisfied with it. This is my first AWD car. I wasn't too sure at first how it worked but I figured it out.

@@D-Town.313You're so uninformed its insane lmfao the 50/50 split stops at 12mph. It then becomes 100% RWD not FWD and will engage the front axle whenever slip is detected

@Transitive Wisdom and why can’t it be simple on/off switch instead of this shit 12 mph thing.
