- Backpack Hero Part 21 - one year later, the full game is out! There's a ton of new stuff worth checking out, including the enticing story mode. Needless to say, this game sticks the landing, and I will want to play this a ton more to find out what happens!

Also, the difference between burn and poison:
They're both DOT effects but burn can be blocked by shield whereas poison cannot.
Burn happens at the start of the victim's turn while poison happens at the end
Poison sickness happens as a result of an enemy having higher poison than their remaining health so as to kill them before they can take an action.

In addition: individually they are both strong. But if you mix and match it's generally pretty weak. Because they both go down by one each turn. So if you apply 2 poison it goes down to 1 next turn, if you apply 2 burn it goes down to 1 next turn, but if you apply 1 poison and 1 burn they both go down to 0.
@@SlickMajic I'd be amazed if this wasn't noted somewhere on the wiki; I know the wiki manager and he works crazy hard on it.
Not sure if devs fixed the bug that burn ignored armor on enemies though.

I'm so glad it's got the village and all those other aspects now - the last time I played it, the game was just "get a damage engine going and go infinite in the same floors over and over". It seems a lot more polished now ~
Yeah, previously the price seemed ridiculous because of that. There just wasn't that much content

I love watching you play games I havent played, your editors always explain with you so we always know what is going on! Such a breath of fresh air compared to most channels just zoomin' through content with zero context

"Back-pack battles" is actually looking pretty sick auto battler, wide range of synergies, always fun VS other people's builds demo but basically full game
This seems fun. Love that they added more story aspects, talking characters and the village. I want to see more!

Backpack hero is one of the games that I really hoped to see return on your channel, I hope they added enough content to make a series out of it.

I used to watch your videos alot when I was escaping from my mother country. We escaped from a dictator who accused us with being terrorists. There was a 5 month period of escaping and I watched alot of your videos in that period. My favorite series were the inscryption series. I bought that game after I got to germany and bought a computer. And then there was this series. I really like roguelike games and backpack hero series were one of those series that I watched when I wasn't able to get out from a house with 4 people, trying to prevent my 4 year brother from getting traumatized by the things happening at the time. This video you just uploaded made me nostalgic. Me and my family are safe now. My brother is now 5 and a half years old. He is doing great and he is fcking talented at music. I make music for movies and games as a hobby. That is probably the reason why he is talented at it. I kinda envy him cause I didn't had someone teaching me music theory, music softwares, using vocals etc. Thank you for having such high quality taste when it comes to games. I also like your sense of humor. You seem like a cool guy. I hope your life to be interesting and satisfying for you. (I also looooove the can of wormholes. I also like the suttle edits of editorkun.)

Got this game recently, had a slow start but got me hooked, definitely worth the price.

Having dumped a bunch of hours into story mode before official release, it's actually a pretty decent way to experience the game, lots of challenge runs, a drip of new items and content to keep you coming back, and what feels like actual progression. The game truly has come a long way from its early inceptions.
