It's really interesting to see your reaction to this cinematic, considering most of your knowledge of Vi and Caitlyn comes from the Arcane series. I enjoyed it; good job.
6:51 are they gonna be partners? Well, yes. They'll be roommates too. Historians will call them close friends or besties. Yeah, they're good colleagues.
-The guy with the spiderlike legs is Urgot (Once a powerful Noxian headsman, Urgot was betrayed by the empire for which he had killed so many. Bound in iron chains, he was forced to learn the true meaning of strength in the Dredge-a prison mine deep beneath Zaun.) The sniper is Caitlyn and then obv Vi. -The blonde girl is Lux. She is from Demacia, an insular realm where magical abilities are viewed with fear and suspicion. Able to bend light to her will, she grew up dreading discovery and exile, and was forced to keep her power secret, in order to preserve her family's noble status. Nonetheless, Lux's optimism and resilience have led her to embrace her unique talents, and she now covertly wields them in service of her homeland. The soldier guy is Garen(Lux's brother) A proud and noble soldier, Garen fights at the head of the Dauntless Vanguard. He is popular among his fellows, and respected well enough by his enemies-not least as a scion of the prestigious Crownguard family, entrusted with defending Demacia and its ideals. Clad in magic-resistant armor and bearing a mighty broadsword, Garen stands ready to confront mages and sorcerers on the field of battle, in a veritable whirlwind of righteous steel. The mage with the chains is Sylas. Raised in one of Demacia’s lesser quarters, Sylas of Dregbourne has come to symbolize the darker side of the Great City. As a boy, his ability to root out hidden sorcery caught the attention of the notorious mageseekers, who eventually imprisoned him for turning those same powers against them. Having now broken free, Sylas lives as a hardened revolutionary, using the magic of those around him to destroy the kingdom he once served… and his band of outcast mage followers seems to grow by the day. -The blonde is guy is Ezreal, A dashing adventurer, unknowingly gifted in the magical arts, Ezreal raids long-lost catacombs, tangles with ancient curses, and overcomes seemingly impossible odds with ease. His courage and bravado knowing no bounds, he prefers to improvise his way out of any situation, relying partially on his wits, but mostly on his mystical Shuriman gauntlet, which he uses to unleash devastating arcane blasts arcane blasts. One thing is for sure-whenever Ezreal is around, trouble isn’t too far behind. Or ahead. Probably everywhere. The girl that saves Ezreal is Kai'sa. Claimed by Void, the Void when she was only a child, Kai'Sa managed to survive through sheer tenacity and strength of will. Her experiences have made her a deadly hunter and, to some, the harbinger of a future they would rather not live to see. Having entered into an uneasy symbiosis with a living Void carapace, the time will soon come when she must decide whether to forgive those mortals who would call her a monster, and defeat the coming darkness together... or simply to forget, as the Void consumes the world that left her behind.
Powder has lived feeling as a failure, with everyone but Vi and Vander telling otherwise. Vi is her pillar that always believes in her, so, when the most important situation comes up: A life and death scenario for her loves ones, she is told by Vi that she is not ready and she should stay behind. In her mind, when it matters the most, she is a unreliable failure, if she wasn't, Vi would take her along to help. That is why Powder is so broken in that scene, because when it matters the most, not even Vi trusted her
Powder mental health is already worsening since the first episode (where powder and vi mother is dead) And remember in the last episode 3 where powder said while screaming and tearing "i can't live without you vi", well that's explain thing, and that's the final break point for her, where she thinks, vi is leaving her forever. And so when Silco came and Powder just hug him, it's explain, she's really need someone beside her because of all of her anxiety maybe. And you should watch some Necrit video too, if Tenebrix the mother of Runeterra Lore, then Necrit is the father
Yes, that's Caitlyn. In Arcane episode 2, Caitlyn was shown in a painting at their house as a child holding a rifle, foreshadowing her being a marksman. Thanks for the great content! The Awaken cinematic is great as well, hope you'll take a look at that one soon. Although that cinematic isn't canon, it still shows some champions in action and it's hype inducing and gives you the chills.
Yes Danika is League Lore Mommy and High Priestess of the Darius altar of Thirst XD. after watching season 1 of Arcane, you picked a perfect time to watch this one
Fun fact about Caitlyn Vi and Jinx. In game, when you play Either Vi and/or Caitlyn against Jinx, or the opposite, you have an optional score-counter that tracks the number of time you killed the other character (Jinx if you're Vi or Cait, Vi and cait if you're Jinx). Also if you pay attention at Get Jinx lyrics, you'll understand the dynamic between them 3, Cait and Vi "playing Cops vs Thief" with Jinx. (But not playing, it's actually their job to prevent Jinx from bombing anything in Piltover).
The guy vi and cait was fighting is Urgot, a Noxian general(Noxus is a very aggressive, war-mongering country) sent to Piltover to spy or something, but for some reason got experimented by Dr. Singed, yes Vi will become an enforcer and Caitlyn's partner to help take Jinx into custody. On the other side, The Blonde girl is Luxanna and her brother Garen, part of the Crownguard family. Protectors of the Royal family of Demacia, Sylas(the guy in chains) Tries to take revenge on the kingdom of Demacia for the persecution of Mages. (Demacians are anti-magic or kinda prejudiced against mages. everyone of them that got arcane gifts are persecuted by Law) Now, Lux, she's a mage but kept her secret because it will cause a scandal due to her family's relation to the royal family but was forced to use magic to defend the kingdom. Lastly, the blonde dude is Ezreal, a Piltovan Archeologist/explorer who is looking for his parents(also Famous Piltovan archeologists but mysteriously disappeared on one of their expeditions) , somewhat met Kai'sa(the girl with the venom-kinda suit) she got trapped in the void at the age of 10, I'm guessing Ezreal accidentally freed her and they helped each other to get out of that predicament. Judging by the lore... Arcane can go over 10 seasons if all goes well.
About Powder/Jinx's mental health, it does hint that she "'jinxes" almost every job according to Mylo. Maybe she didn't expect Vi telling her to stay put when Vi always tells her it's ok when she messes up.
Jinx is also strongly suggested that she has extreme anxiety and trauma from when her and Vi witnessed the death of their parents, and the parents may have told her and Vi to "stay put" just before. If this is the case, then she not only had to worry about the fear of abandonment and anxiety of being alone, but a deep rooted fear of her sister dying the way their parents dead and probably relived that moment of discovering their death in her head. All of this would only be enhanced by her feeling the same as back then:hopelessness. This is why, when she discovered the crystals, she calmed down with the phrase "I could help them"
I do like how Powder took the name ‘Jinx’ as it was used as an insult or punishment from Mylo and Violet. Powder just decided if she’s a Jinx then she should be called Jinx and show how much she can Jinx a situation. All what child Powder wanted was love, affection and approval but Vi threw it back into her face. Vi now just needs to accept that Powder is gone and Jinx is here.
concerning Jinx (or Powder) reaction when she was left alone, I mean she saw her parents die in front of her eyes and the only family she has, left her and she doesn't know if they'll be back and of course nobody believes in her. She has PTSD, if you go to the very first scene in Arcane, before she and Vi appear, you'll find she imagines monsters and other scary stuff in her head when she's scared and lonely, that's probably why she hitting her head and screaming when Vi left her alone in that room.

At the end, Powder is losing it because of the scene earlier in episode 1 I belief. There she heared she was useless and ruines always everything, even Vi said it. After that, Vi comforts her and she trusts Vi again. The part where she starts crying is because basicly Vi lied to her, she is not useless, but even worse. She does the opposite of helping, that's why she started crying. Then she wanted to show she could help, but it ended in a disaster. The truth came over Powder, she is useless and can't do anything right, the ones she loved are either dead or punched her in the face. I hope this helped to understand why she broke down that hard.
Don't forget that Powder functionally saw both of her parents killed in a violent conflict with Piltover. You have to imagine that she was told about the same kind of thing by her parents leading up to their deaths. I think that's why she freaked out as badly as she did. You've got to remember... all of the stuff that happens with the botched job on up to the explosion in the cannery and everything isn't the first trauma that she's had, and I can be pretty confident in saying that she's never really processed that early trauma in any kind of a healthy way.
I love Viktor man, even before Arcane. Just the thought of the metal man being treated as a cautionary tale is just great for me. "If you need anything fixed, go to Viktor. But he'll fix more than what you wanted." Also I think we forgot that Powered fell from what looked like a high floor, maybe that has something that contributed to her mental state
Powder was already damaged from a traumatic early childhood i think her freakout was just a genuine panic attack with of a mixture of helplessness, fear, and abandonment, she relied so heavily on Vi for stability and when she got told she coulnt be useful and she wasnt ready after already having her doubts from Milo and what she thought she heard her sister say plus w/e past failures she had she just freaked. The crazy is just an addition that we get to see introduced after those events with a different person "grounding" her
@@Manga_Punk that's because at that powder is at her weakest point and she saw silco at that moment she didn't care if he's good or bad as long as she need someone to channel her grief, sadness, and being left alone.
Tenebrix is pretty knowledgeable about the lore, although I'd say Necrit is moreso. However, I'd caution that Tenebrix wears her biases pretty openly, and it DOES affect the way she explains the lore. So grain of salt and all that.
IKR? Like, she hates Demacia so much, she doesn't dare remember the time when magic almost destroyed the world, or something along those lines (I forgot).
@@XiaoyuuuYT yes, because people in demacia certainly isn't locking up countless innocent people in demacia just because they had little affinity to magic. Being afraid of magic is fine and all but you don't really place people in underground prison cells just because you can light a candle.
@@keithdenzelroque2072 okay, but this is completely and totally ignoring the root of the fear. The Rune Wars devastated the entire world, and completely wiped out at least 1 country (Zillean's Origins) and thus an extreme fear of it would be natural. When you then contribute that Demacia has the materials that literally absorb and nullify magic (Petricide) then their views become more understandable. Naturally, this is only enhanced with how other nations seem to accept and even celebrate magic, such as Noxus and Ionia. They feel like magic can very easily become an issue again. Now, does Demacia take this too far? By miles, but thats what makes it a compelling nation. One can easily see why they are justified in their distaste for magic and one can see where it leaves a lot of room to be corrupted. The history of the world is vital to understanding Demacia. They aren't the Lawful Good nation many see them as, but one can see why they are viewed as such. Thus, its Sylas that shows they may be wrong and too extreme.
I’m a huge fan of the Demacian characters and aesthetic. She is still 100% right about Demacia sucking. Every other kingdom has been able to live with mages. Demacia is the one exception.
I do like how Powder took the name ‘Jinx’ as it was used as an insult or punishment from Mylo and Violet. idk i mean i know so many people who've said they've flipped out like that for dumb reasons as kids, i know i did--kids are..volatile. not to say she didn't have issues, but
@@brightestlight9462 No I get what you're saying. I've even done it myself as a kid. I just thought in this scene it was a response to trauma. Just thinking that Powder had never really been left alone. If Vi and the others went out, someone in the bar, Vander or Ekko were with her to comfort her probably
@@brightestlight9462 Just thought losing her parents like she did was what probably made her not want to be left alone. Not to mention all the violence in Zaun
Hello, it's nice to see you dive deep into the lore of League. You were right with Caitlyn and Vi, I will not spoil more to you right now :D That big dude was Urgot by the way.
Honestly i think a Powder's "cracking point" is in very first scene of series, when she see death parents and shes not able cry (!) while Vi is crying immediately.
ok , so , there are a lot of champions in the cinematic, and places, ok so first when its icy , is frelyord and theres lux, (the girl who lazer the skie), the guy with the chains is sylas, and the guy with the big sowrd is garen, the moster who falls form the skie is Galio, and the blond dude is Ezreal , who is in shurima, and is help with kaisa, There are in some kind of prision in shaun , vi and caityln, and the guy with spidey legs is urgot, and he is dangerous, thats the resume :D
In the scene you're referring to, Powder is a little girl with abandonment issues due to her parents being killed. Now her sister has run off without her during a life or death crisis situation, so she's having a panic attack. It's not really all that far-fetched.
Yes, vi will work with the enforcers and Cait will become the cheriff. The spider legged guy is Urgot, he used to be an executioner in Noxus, forgot what happened and he ended up in zaun and became a Kingpin style character.
If you know Viktor you must also know urgot cause they both have a connection to each other or should I say unfinished business, but if they release ugot we may also see noxus in the next arcane series.
There was someone who did a react and broke down Powder and Vi's behavior from an amateur/undergrad psych standpoint. She pointed out that Vi and Powder had a really unhealthy relationship dynamic. Something about childhood trauma, with Vi being in the bad position of both sibling and authority figure. Meanwhile, Powder shows severe insecure attachment to Vi, so the psych issues were popping up even before the "Oops Triple Homicide" boom at the end of Ep 3.
i think a lot of people saying she's unhealthily attatched miss that..she's 8. she's traumatized, but it's also normal for kids to be at the hip with someone they feel protected by
There are several regions piltover and zaun is the only one shown in the series. I believe the other seasons will show the other regions. I'm really lookinh forward to Singed and what happens with Vander.
don't wanna be a huge nerd, but its not pil-tover, it is pilt-over. because the city is over the river pilt. : | and i mean ofc little powder is losing it! she saw some real shit as she was a kid! just remember the bridge scene from the beginning. and now everyone is leaving her for "war". she knows what can happen if people fight. so she has to sit at home while her family is possibly dying out there... thats some real tough shit for a child.
also powder killed the 2 friends and possibly Vander in that scene, why wouldnt she break? haha and vi leaving her and blaming her for their deaths its mostly why she went rogue
well since you know the characters from arcane only, it would be awesome for you to see the rest of the cinematics and other stuff like the rap battles they are featured in (jinx in get jinxed, vi in here comes Vi, falconshield this is war part 2)
I think the trauma of her parents dying on the bridge has fucked powder up (she tries to nail bomb a kid in ep 1) but mostly in the sense of attachment. The scene you mentioned where she loses it after being left alone At the end she is shooting vi, please I need you and immediately hugs and attaches herself to silco like she just needs to feel cared for by anyone.
"I have questions..." yes, that's how this works... the more you watch, the more questions you have, the more you watch... but right now, i feel you need something lighthearted so go watch "Don't mess with yordles" ;)
Yes its Caitlyn But in Arcane they young Very very young In Arcane they show us their way of becoming who they are now in the game itself where they are already much more mature That spider robot is Urgot - a particularly dangerous criminal from zaun And as it was evident, they came to rescue him to freedom What is shown in the series is just a small small grain of history that is in League of legends The video shows several regions and their skirmishes But again this is just the tip of the iceberg in the League world where there are demigods who walk the earth like Ornn who created essentially continents in runterra simply because he decided to face off with the earth itself Lmao The world and history of League of Legends is incredibly rich It is very difficult to find such a deeply prescribed world in games
Okay maybe Powder overreacted, but I see where that reaction came from. Her sister is everything to her and she tags along everytime. And that time Vi opposed to it, I think it's a "normal" reaction to have, of despair almost.
Please upload your reaction live to the next episode. We will watch it even without audio just blur the audio and show the subtitles so we know what's going on. Please????
Im guessing you're not a league of legends player yet...let me stop you right here. Don't start playing that game, or your life will be ruined. Sincerely, A hardstuck Gold I on his 6th account
It's really interesting to see your reaction to this cinematic, considering most of your knowledge of Vi and Caitlyn comes from the Arcane series. I enjoyed it; good job.

Great content! I love the reactions of those starting to get into League.
I really hope they keep going after Act 3
@@Manga_Punki hope so, too! it would not surprise me if they have another story lined up.
I love Viktor man, even before Arcane.
Just the thought of the metal man being treated as a cautionary tale is just great for me.
"If you need anything fixed, go to Viktor. But he'll fix more than what you wanted."
Also I think we forgot that Powered fell from what looked like a high floor, maybe that has something that contributed to her mental state
Join the glorious evolution.
keep it up man, keep watching em, enjoying your journey
Powder was already damaged from a traumatic early childhood i think her freakout was just a genuine panic attack with of a mixture of helplessness, fear, and abandonment, she relied so heavily on Vi for stability and when she got told she coulnt be useful and she wasnt ready after already having her doubts from Milo and what she thought she heard her sister say plus w/e past failures she had she just freaked. The crazy is just an addition that we get to see introduced after those events with a different person "grounding" her
And she had to attach to fuckin Silco of all people ugh 😩
@@XiaoyuuuYT The rune-wars monkaW
The reason for Powder acting like she did when she was left alone was probably a trauma response. She clearly has abandonment issues as well.
Vi now just needs to accept that Powder is gone and Jinx is here.
idk i mean i know so many people who've said they've flipped out like that for dumb reasons as kids, i know i did--kids are..volatile. not to say she didn't have issues, but
@@brightestlight9462 No I get what you're saying.
Welcome to League of Legends my boi!
Hello, it's nice to see you dive deep into the lore of League. You were right with Caitlyn and Vi, I will not spoil more to you right now :D That big dude was Urgot by the way.
Oh Hell yeah been waiting for you to upload
i wish riot would continue on to expand the cinematic universe cause i cant wait to see the freljordians vs demacians war and the noxus vs ionia
I'd love to see more series, maybe in different art styles and animation styles, or the same
The characters you see in this are
Lux, Garen, Sylas, Caitlin, Vi, Urgot, Ezriel, Kai'sa, and Galio. 🖤
Great reaction! Definitely subbing.
Thanks for the run down my dude!
In the scene you're referring to, Powder is a little girl with abandonment issues due to her parents being killed. Now her sister has run off without her during a life or death crisis situation, so she's having a panic attack. It's not really all that far-fetched.
Magic is forbidden, so it gave me chills when she used it to save her brother
"Who is this Baron fin spider techno machine guy"
.......He close y'all, he super close XD
Welcome to Summoner's Rift!" An enemy has been slain!
yep, it is Caitlyn
Yes, vi will work with the enforcers and Cait will become the cheriff.
The spider legged guy is Urgot, he used to be an executioner in Noxus, forgot what happened and he ended up in zaun and became a Kingpin style character.
If you know Viktor you must also know urgot cause they both have a connection to each other or should I say unfinished business, but if they release ugot we may also see noxus in the next arcane series.
Excelente vídeo❤
There was someone who did a react and broke down Powder and Vi's behavior from an amateur/undergrad psych standpoint. She pointed out that Vi and Powder had a really unhealthy relationship dynamic.
Something about childhood trauma, with Vi being in the bad position of both sibling and authority figure. Meanwhile, Powder shows severe insecure attachment to Vi, so the psych issues were popping up even before the "Oops Triple Homicide" boom at the end of Ep 3.
Oh wow, now that's an interesting perspective I'd love to check out!
i think a lot of people saying she's unhealthily attatched miss that..she's 8. she's traumatized, but it's also normal for kids to be at the hip with someone they feel protected by
Legal Vi 😏😏😏
You should watch Necrit, he is father of the league lore
Have to say this song was fun to work with. 😊
The baron looking guy you'll probably see in season 2 of Arcane :)
Try Watching All Tales of Runaterra to familiarize on all regions
There are several regions piltover and zaun is the only one shown in the series. I believe the other seasons will show the other regions. I'm really lookinh forward to Singed and what happens with Vander.
Fingers crossed for Warrick!
Agree brother love vi
don't wanna be a huge nerd, but its not pil-tover, it is pilt-over. because the city is over the river pilt. : |
and i mean ofc little powder is losing it! she saw some real shit as she was a kid! just remember the bridge scene from the beginning. and now everyone is leaving her for "war". she knows what can happen if people fight. so she has to sit at home while her family is possibly dying out there... thats some real tough shit for a child.
gotta see awaken my man, its LIT
also powder killed the 2 friends and possibly Vander in that scene, why wouldnt she break? haha and vi leaving her and blaming her for their deaths its mostly why she went rogue
Good Point lol Awaken is coming soon!
well since you know the characters from arcane only, it would be awesome for you to see the rest of the cinematics and other stuff like the rap battles they are featured in (jinx in get jinxed, vi in here comes Vi, falconshield this is war part 2)
finally...
I think the trauma of her parents dying on the bridge has fucked powder up (she tries to nail bomb a kid in ep 1) but mostly in the sense of attachment.
The scene you mentioned where she loses it after being left alone
At the end she is shooting vi, please I need you and immediately hugs and attaches herself to silco like she just needs to feel cared for by anyone.
I mean if Lore is your thing I think Necrit is more who you should be looking to for Lore but hey, it's a good start.
I gotta check him out for sure!
Vi possess that Enforcer Skin in the game, . . . well yeah she joined
I wonder what he would think about the Ekko Cinematic
Oh definitely noticed it, jinx might have issues
yeah, cait and Vi are partner ;)
Vi can punch me any day...also Powder/Jinx is essentially the Harley Quinn of League of Legends
I love her crazy sometimes!
well reading or looking into league lore might spoil some stuff for arcane so be mindfull of that
"I have questions..." yes, that's how this works... the more you watch, the more questions you have, the more you watch... but right now, i feel you need something lighthearted so go watch "Don't mess with yordles" ;)
Big guy is urgot.. yup hes from zaun also... yup that's Caitlyn from arcane.. but if u get into that it may kinda spoil arcane for u
06:02 Urgot
Dude u gotta watch Awaken now 😁
I might have to now lol
powder hate to be not trusted and unfortunately vi says she is ready
Yes its Caitlyn
But in Arcane they young
Very very young
In Arcane they show us their way of becoming who they are now in the game itself where they are already much more mature
That spider robot is Urgot - a particularly dangerous criminal from zaun
And as it was evident, they came to rescue him to freedom
What is shown in the series is just a small small grain of history that is in League of legends
The video shows several regions and their skirmishes
But again this is just the tip of the iceberg in the League world where there are demigods who walk the earth like Ornn who created essentially continents in runterra simply because he decided to face off with the earth itself Lmao
The world and history of League of Legends is incredibly rich
It is very difficult to find such a deeply prescribed world in games
I wonder how Riot is gonna expand with different series with the lore
Thats urgot, and yes thats caitlyn
Then Necrit is the Lore "grandfather"
That big guy is urgot
The Champions you can play are Caitlyn the Sheriff of Piltover and Vi the Piltover Enforcer...
I love the two of them together
have to watch awaken
On it!
DO AWAKEN PLEASE
"Whos that?" -Sad Caitlyn Noises
lol I know now
Okay maybe Powder overreacted, but I see where that reaction came from. Her sister is everything to her and she tags along everytime. And that time Vi opposed to it, I think it's a "normal" reaction to have, of despair almost.
Nice hair, give me your haircutt tips please bro
Riot out many Easter eggs in arcane
they work 6 years very hard for arcane
u should react to "awaken" as well now
Its coming, I promise
Please upload your reaction live to the next episode. We will watch it even without audio just blur the audio and show the subtitles so we know what's going on. Please????
Manga punk: *finished watching the video*
Also Manga punk: *proceeds to shit is shit*
You still haven't finished arcane??!
Poor weeblet, you got a lot in front of you. That lore rabbit hole is way deeper than you think it is.
Im starting to find that out lol
SHOTGUN KNEES urgot
yeah that cait. arcanes art style didnt do to well with her. this music clip is more accurate
Lol getting spoiled by a video released years ago
NECRIT IS WHERE YOU GOT IF YOU WANT TO KNOW THE LORE NOT TENABRIX
spoiler... :(
Im guessing you're not a league of legends player yet...let me stop you right here. Don't start playing that game, or your life will be ruined.
Sincerely,
A hardstuck Gold I on his 6th account
If you want lore tenebrix is good but necrit is also a big one you should check out he is great for lore
