Set in the near future when artificial organs can be bought on credit, it revolves around a man who struggles to make the payments on a heart he has purchased. He must therefore go on the run before said ticker is repossessed.
What a Heartwarming scene! Perfect for family viewing.
You know I don't care how many times people rip this bit off, I love seeing it!
Ripped off from Oldboy
@leedixon9832 Yes, obviously, and it's in loads of other films. But I enjoy the concept so much that I'm happy to see many versions of it
@@willumbermarchant5510 was done really well in both The Raid films
@@willumbermarchant5510 Ripped off The Raid Redemption as well. If you haven't seen that one, it's where Judge Dredd got the story of a cop trapped in a drug lab and fighting his way out.

I think Sword of Doom did it best.
All those guns lying on the floor and he asks for a hacksaw.
All those guns lying on the floor and she hands him a hammer.
Pretty much ended Jude Laws career
@@bottlethrower1544I think hes doing just fine
Could be worse, could’ve rolled cue balls
@@icey984excellent nod
@@icey984 cant remember. which movie is this from?
No matter the movie what always makes we wonder,
when someone uses an enemies body as bullet sponge,
that none of these would go through and still hurt the protagonist.
Lol bad guys always use hallow points. Jk I always thought the same.
Movie magic. Car doors don't stop bullets, either.
@@fishingpervert sure, but somehow that still seems more believable than flesh and bones stopping them whereby maybe bones might redirect them or deform them, redirecting the kinetic energy like a billiardball i suppose Still yeah, thinking about car doors not stopping bullets and seeing how in movies cops and anyone hides behind them hrhr. Damn imagine how many people have actually taken that for granted and died because of that oh man maybe there is still hope for the gene pool ^^
@@kinngrimm Yep. It's the movie magic, like people getting into a brutal fight and their faces not looking like a bag of grapes later. I really like the current "Reacher" series. But in the first season, he gets into a fight with a guy swinging a crowbar connecting with him on several bones and direct hits to the face. After, he's got a bloody nose and lip, with NO swelling.
Gun fights with nobody hitting a target is VERY realistic. People getting one shot kills while both targets are in motion ... nearly impossible.
Movie magic. Makes for good story telling ... but it definitely AIN'T real life.
@@fishingpervert agreed :)
The part where they start scanning all their organs is the most physically uncomfortable thing I’ve ever seen in a movie. Like, I literally hurt watching it. I’ve never watched it again for that reason. Great flick, great premise, great casting and acting, real kick in the nads ending, but unless I’m watching it with somebody for their first time, I ain’t playing it again. My knees are hurting right now just remembering it. *shudder*
Yeah the organ scanning scene was too painful and disturbing for my tastes as well.
Damn my man just used a knife a hacksaw and hammer oh my😂
Jude Law, John Preston, Project Alice. I love these kind of scenes.
Right on! Looking forward to seeing this movie! 👍
Good fight in an okay movie. Love the music choice.
That was a Badass fight scene though. Looked more realistic than many, certainly weren't any flashy Kung Fu Moves. Great video.
Until you realized that there were more guns on the floor and one of the lady repo also had a gun
@@Excalibur01 But of course. That's why they call it Fiction. But it still looked cool.
@@lsporter88 writing isn't about "anything goes"
The world building needs to make sense.
@Excalibur01 I think we might be taking this a little too seriously. I'm not disagreeing with you, and I'm also not trying to dissect the film for realism either.
All I said was it was a good fight scene, it looked cool. But also, they weren't doing impossible or too slick moves. It was gritty and ugly, everybody got hurt, that includes the hero, just like it would happen in a real knife fight....everybody gets cut, believe that.
Now if you really want realism, this ain't your movie. There's so much wrong with the science and physics of this Flick that I wouldn't enjoy it at all if I dissected it as a Mechanical Engineer (my education and trainning).
I also know a little something about Martial Arts as well (another part of my education and trainning). Which is why I know it was a good fight scene and not too far out there.
But all of that aside, this is a pure Science Fiction/Fantasy Movie. It's supposed to be fantastical and fun. I think we might be forgetting that. Take her easy Bro.😎
We need another Sapochnik movie and we need it now! When he left showrunning HotD, it better've been to make another movie of his own!
Are people here in comments THAT dense? Or they didn't watch the movie until the end? Or both? I don't want to spoil it, but you SHOULD watch it and understand it before criticizing this scene.
This is such an underated movie
No, the fight scenes are too unrealistic!
@@rogerjensen5277Of course it was the ending of the movie explains why
It's a movie about reposesing over charged artificial organs...... and you're worried about the realism?
@@RebelliousArrow Actually the movie was WAY more realistic than it had any right to be. All of the "heroics" didn't actually happen, and the movie actually rightfully portrayed that the character suffered brain damage during his fight when he got hit on the back of his head, so yeah... despite people complaining aobut the fight scenes not being realistic enough, it was actually very realistic.
Oh Shit. Hits DC’s Deadpool, Red Tool
I have the same problem every time I go to buy tools...
Was that Darren Shahlavi at 4:05?
The apex of humanity!
Gotta say this was still Jude law in still in his prime...than captain marvel came and....yea
Why did one of the guys have a hatchet in his work bag?
clearly been watchin oldboy
realistic . good
WOW!!!!!
Ik❤
The only thing I'll add, you fight with what you got? For better or worse, like other Fathers might take their Son to a game? Me and Dad were mixing explosives and he's saying that wont work and I'm saying it will you just packed them too tight? Typical Father Son conversation, I miss him greatly, he was a decent man that treated other people decently, and if you didn't like that we could always blow the shit out of your house?
Oh dear, dear, dear me, another queuing up to get killed preposterous film, even at the very end on facing two me, one lets the other do an attack while he stands there to let his comrade get killed and then goes forward to be slaughtered as well. I know it is just entertainment, but action films are just beyond all belief now and truly awful. So much to find fault with, he gets about 4 to 5" of a knife in his gut and carries on fighting as if nothing has happened, your body would double over in shock, the pain would hit like an avalanche and your sensors would be totally scramble. The whole scene is really pure ballet and should be classed as such.
As others have said it is a homage to OldBoy but a very poor one, as the speed, ferocity and realistic body positioning is far more realistic and more so, and mainly all different from each other, in this farce they were just all repeats.
In the real world of a fight, which I have been in and seen of others, even a very good fighter with a good deal of martial arts training as I have, it takes just three equally physique men who are not good fighters or have martial arts training to take down someone who is, IF they rushed at exactly the same time that person from three equally spaced angles to strike the head with a weapon, i.e a hammer, which I saw effectively several times when working in a prison as a Teacher.
Crap
Poor
this is so stupid
wow hahaha, what an idiotic action scene, i never saw Jude Law in a character like this, a mix among Neo, Cleric Preston, Korben Dallas, Romeo must to die, and George of the Jungle, c mon, so many nonsenses that it is better to laugh at them
Shooting a CCTV camera once it’s seen you and you are about to go through a door is kind of a waste of ammo
Depends on how you see it, they can no longer see you through that camera and could potentially set up traps in that area that could cause major damages.
People complaining about how unreal this scene is, clearly has not seen the movie or never understood the ending.
Welcome to the internet. Where ppl come to whine about things anonymously cuz they suck irl. Lol
Of course, it's silly and unrealistic; they are selling movie tickets.
I simply avoid the problems, grab some popcorn and enjoy the movie. Isn't that fair?
SPOILER ALERT:
This scene does not take place in real life, but in a computer simulation, however, the protagonist is unaware of this fact. The simulation deliberately favors the "user", which is why no one can beat him. In reality, he probably would have failed in the first seconds.
You are right. I never saw the movie, but that was in no way an epic or even good fight scene.
I'm surprised that no one has mentioned that he is using knives designed by the fathers of WWII close-quarters combat. These are Applegate-Fairbairn combat daggers produced by Boker.
You need a hobby.
😊
Thanks for that knife info
@@jaimethiessen This is his hobby. 😂
@@jaimethiessenSounds like they have a bad ass hobby
Clearly a homage to the famous Oldboy prison scene.
And I tip my hat to that homage… 👏👏
Repo men is based off a book.
@@stevestevenson3252 that may be, but in this movie adaptation, this fight scene is clearly an homage to the South Korean film "Old Boy" corridor fight scene with the protagonist here also using a hacksaw instead of just a hammer.
@johnlloyddy7016 It isn't an homage to oldboy just because you say it is. There is no commentary or statements made backing up your claim by anyone who worked on repo men. It's just what you feel it is but feelings aren't facts.
@@stevestevenson3252 - It really obviously is though.
Definitely pays homage to b the corridor fight scene in the Korean movie Old boy. The foot stab, the crowd ambush and the hammer ,there all .
Good call, my friend. I was reminded of the Daredevil hallway fight scene & completely forgot about the OG Oldboy.
But....all the guns on the ground......
The pros use knifes... Mark of respect
@@pascalabessolo5350 You've obviously never been in a fight! You use whatever you have and guns are top of the line especially when you have multiple opponents!
@@pascalabessolo5350 Obviously looking cool is much more important than getting stabbed in the stomach.
I get what you're saying and you have a point but... Hear me out... The fight scene we got was way cooler than if he picked up a gun and shot them. But you are objectively right 😂😂😂😂
Do you know joker once said guns kill faster but knives they kill very slow all that pain and emotions you feel before the life force draining down from your body and all you could see will be the deep clad darkness. sorry 😅 i forgot what he said and made the rest up.
the way she put that plastic bag over the guy's head lol
Great movie Concept, Terrible Ending, As with most of Hollywood's Flops.
Really man I thought the ending was a good twist
Hollywood endings are always happy it was fresh to see a dark ending
@@JosephVillareal-h6m it is even well directed, the moment he got hit by that big metal thing in the head I was thinking there is no way he could recover from that, and I was correct, from that point on the movie feels more like a fantasy and in the end it turns out to be just an artificial dream.
@@TonyRedgraveSoS People go to the movies for an escape. We are living in an era "Where the Bad Guys Can Win" (Last Action Hero Line) And it is annoying and counterintuitive to what our culture should aspire for.
@@TonyRedgraveSoS All Hollywood gives us are Dark endings. It is why the movie industry is flopping.
Oh well, I'd rather re-watch Love, Honour and Obey, though.
It's all in your head o0
There is a whole arsenal of pistols on the floor. It’s not clear whether the characters are stupid or the directors.
Come on mate, you never bring a gun to a knife fight. Everyone knows that!
The ending of the movie does explain why.
4:03 THAT IS THE TWISTER FROM IP MAN 2 RIGHT THERE GETTING JUMPED, BY THE WAY IS ANYONE WATCHING THIS FOR THE 1ST TIME IN 2024?
3:48 corre jorobadito igual que Vasili Zaitsev en la primer batalla de Stalingrado
so just if you wondered why those guys had the strange tools, those were recollection agents who took artificial body parts back from alive people who couldnt pay for them anymore, and these tools were for removing organs
In English, ‘unreal’ is good and ‘unrealistic’ is bad. It’s possible there are multiple different reactions going on
What if Jude Law ran for president , first he has to throw away all his integrity , lie about
everything, smile about what you are talking about even if it does not make sense or not real.
Then he can run for office or President . I dont think he wants to humiliate himself .
Love his acting , fan of his quality of acting
THIS SCENE PROVES WHY THE PUNISHER IS BUILT DIFFERENT FROM MOST HUMANS😏🙂, REMEMBER THAT EPIC HALLWAZ FIGHT SCENE IN DAREDEVIL THE TV SERIES?

repo agents. their job is cutting artificial organs out for recollection from people who cant pay anymore
I thought this compares to the corridor fight in Raid 2, I was wrong.
Dont mess with Zaycev.

Welcome to Hollywood
Did you WATCH the damn movie? Or the ending?
Yup, makes perfect sense to the movie -- not Hollywood at all because in reality he was basically dead from brain damage while fighting his best friend; and he dreamed up all of this because his friend put him on a life support machine to feed his brain dreams since he was never going to wake up again. Movie basically had one of those double-twist evil endings like the movie Brazil.
Ppppffffttt!
Wot a load of “seen this schtick before” sssshhhhiiiite
No way! 4:05 Darren Shahlavi. RIP 😢
and all just the dream...
He has been battling hair loss and still has held on to a pretty acceptable amount of hair.
The worst movie ending of all time.
How gruesome !? Unworthy.
I know, I know people have already picked apart the issues with this clip but my issue is that the security guys had no problem accidentally shooting some of the employees in the lab but the guy held hostage in the hallway was enough for them to hold their fire??? *GTFOH*
😂😂😂😂
Nothing beats The Raid fighting scene tho
On the upside, The employee workplace agreement is up for review in four years. I'm sure the'll get that subclause about friendly fire incidents from in-house security across the table this time and possibly even Casual Fridays. As for the Chevy Malibu with the radioactive decaying alien bodies? Well its still the Best Goddamn Car in the Yard...
