You can tell Askey was expecting us to get demolished (which we on paper were supposed to be, a League 2 club against some of the best players in the world) with that pre-match speech.
What we did that night was magical, everyone expected that it'd end 7 or 8-0. We came to Etihad, we outvoiced City, we scored on City and 3 out of Citys 4 goals were lucky. 2 were millimeters from being offside and then 1 unlucky deflection. Match could very well have ended 1-1 if we had the margins on our side that night. Just the thought of that is amazing.

The fact you think it could have ended 1-1. City scored 4 and didn’t get out of 1st gear. Almost as if you think they wouldn’t just have stepped it up slightly if they had to.
