- arcadeheroes.com - Here's an edited and 4K version of the unboxing & install of Bandai Namco Amusements' Maximum Tune 5DX+ that we livestreamed earlier today. This should provide a much clearer look than what the stream could show. This game is exclusive to arcades and if there is any location out there that has a "vanilla" MT5 around, they'll want to jump on this upgrade.
The songs, 'Still Alive' and 'High-Speed Monsters' were created for this update and were composed by Yuzo Koshiro.

Lucky you guys get to have 5dx+ while the majority of us got 6rr, I mean it's a great update and all but it has a lot of really cool stuff removed from 5dx+ as you transfer your data to the game. I miss 5dx+ so much and I much prefer it more than 6-6rr

technically you could still use your old data for 5DX+ even after transferring to 6RR

6:04 Wow! Still use Linux-based System ES1 board, unlike Japan/Asia ver. on Windows-based System ES3/BNA1 board.
Yup, Japan still use ES3 while Asia/Oceania still use BNA1.

Unsure if this is the place to ask but; did you purchase this kit from primetime amusements as well, or was it provided for free? Also, since I plan on purchasing one from them myself, while I saw in your unboxing vid that it comes in 3(the cabinet, the seat, terminal) pieces, which of the 3 is heaviest and can you estimate how heavy it is? I only need it lifted up 7 stairs. Thanks in advance if you answer.
I wish I could have got it for free! I did purchase it through PrimeTime Amusements, but it is also available through any distributor who sells Bandai Namco equipment. Just note that if you're buying for a home, you still have to pay the monthly fee and you'll have to work something out with Namco (by how I understand it)
On the weight, the two monitor pieces are very heavy and a little difficult due to their height. With stairs, definitely get all the help you can possibly grab :)
@@arcadeheroes_coinop I was aware that i'd still have to pay $75 a month per seat, which is fine, but I have to work something out with bandai? Is there something specific I about connecting them?
@@XXbrokenheadXX2 Yeah, they have generally restricted any home purchases, but I heard they were more open to it as long as the fees are covered. Still, they have to specially register the router which will be tied to the machines. I'm just unsure if there is anything else they have you do when in a home situation (for me, I just had to fill out a form and send bank info)

There are no Wangan Midnight at the title in USA/CAN Edition
Yeah, the North American versions don’t include it in the title most likely due to the fact that Wangan Midnight has never been officially released in the US and therefore wouldn’t be super recognizable to people. That being said none of the WM elements are removed from the version, the story mode still follows the story of the manga and features the cars and characters
God I wish I had Maxi 5 since all I have is those boring SuperCars/Crusin Blast games

Yep, Namco reflects American designed cars since that's what most consumers here would know (assuming they even have a stick shift anymore)
I know this is an older video, but I was curious. In your opinion would you be able to add in a capture card of some kind to record/stream your gameplay on these units?
I have tried capturing from them before but it's very hit and miss - sometimes it works, but more often it doesn't. Not sure why, probably something to do with it being an off resolution.
I wonder if you opened that box before? Because thats not the way they typically package upgrade kits. Thats horrible lol

I like that Bandai doesn't consider their game entertaining anymore but AMUSING™ I don't know too much about Wangan Midnight but you seem to have the most desirable version possible.
Who gets the most popular between these and the crusing blast machines right next to them ? Or perhaps they are both attractive at similar levels. I didnt know it was sold beyond Asia.
Especially a new Bandai Namco logo debuts on this April...
This was started to change to Amusements when Maxitune 6 in Japan.

5 months ago, isnt 6RR should be out by then? Or did you change versions again later?
As explained in the video, 6RR is not being released in North America and I don't have the budget to afford an import so soon after doing this.

Well you guys are very far behind everywhere else is at 6RR and there’s some sort of agreement with Namco about the amount of machines that can be in the country
@@user-gk5co6xf9z American and Canadian is slow because they're using ES1 machines while Asia is using ES3 we are running 6RR here in MYS

Hey there! I was wondering if you could help me out with information regarding what is done with the artwork and other pieces that are changed out during an update. For example, what says "Maximum Tune 5 Roar through at over 300 km/h" I'm having a lot of trouble finding any of that artwork. If you have any idea where it goes or what it is actually called, something other than artwork, I'd really appreciate the info. Thank you!
We just put it in the back but was thinking of selling it. I imagine other ops either sell it or throw it in the dumpster (probably more of the latter :/ )

Hey mate, do you still know about Wangan Midnight Maximum 3dx+ arcade game? i just played with a card tuning and the card is stuck, luckily the card can be removed, after that is the card data safe and not lost?

Not going down actually. The 6RR was on Japan & Asia/Oceanic. While kn North America, the latest was Maximum Tune 5DX+ which recent version on North America. Even, the latest Maximum Tune 6RR+ already released in Japan.

Instagram isn't very conducive to what we do, which is mainly blogging the written word and longer videos. Since they don't allow for hyperlinks, it just means we post photos that few will get the full context of when it comes to a detailed story.
Not sure what you mean by being standoffish to follow requests, unless you mean that we don't follow everyone that follows us as that makes for a very busy timeline where we'd miss a lot of the arcade news that we'd be using social media for but if you have an arcade related IG or channel then sure, we could follow you.
