Sad how? The man is the epitome of brilliance , are you saying it's sad cuz the world has declined so immensely that we'll never know this kind of brilliance ever again? If that's the case I concur.
@@kookadams85 I think it is because of the look on his face, he's probably reflecting on all the good times he had as a young man during that time. Think of all the things he's been through since then, and how much he has lost. ):
Nice clips, well edited and interviewers were respectful and prepared for Brian's reticence. They drew him out as well as the music drew him out. He is a real introvert, and appears to always have been this way. Not the same as shy, but a different way of being. Enjoyed this immensely. Loved hearing him describe the Gershwin experience of music at age 4!!! And the Diet Coke and donut breakfast, so funny, something you can get at 7-11!
Obvious enough, but it is so cool to see how music really revs up Brian's spirit so much. It took about 6 listens to his new album for me to get the groove and vibe of it. I was skeptical at first because I wasn't into Gershwin and here Brian makes it his own. I guess that's why he is such a creative genius. Thanks for this video!
He just can't handle it. All these questions and really not feeling like answering, but knowing he has to, because he's plugging a record. I love him dearly. I love the new album, but please, please let him be.
He means the 1959 recording and release of Rhapsody in Blue / An American in Paris, which was conducted by Bernsteins. This is the release: rateyourmusic . com/release/album/george_gershwin/rhapsody_in_blue__an_american_in_paris__new_york_philharmonic__the_columbia_symphony_leonard_bernstein_/
Brian Wilson is God as Im concerned, but doesn't he look like some sort of puppet....a Henson puppet. I love how sincere and to the point he's always been. Love him!!
Watching his excitement when he hears Surfer Girl is both awesome and extremely sad. God love Brian.

Humble, honest man. Rare in music. Very sincere man, impressive, and happy his pain is mostly behind him.

Love it when he starts singing along with Surfer Girl. He's still got that voice in him, its rough but he can still break it out when he wants to.
Brian likes 'I Got Crush On You'' very much. I think Brian closes his eyes to try and concentrate or somehow tells the voices in his head to shut up.
He takes this Gershwin classic and makes it his own.
Thank you! Love it. Brian is a lovely soul.
His smile, right at the beginning of Surfer Girl. He looked like his young man self
I love you Brian
He drinks Diet Coke at breakfast too?! That just gave him several more cool points.

i Think brian still has it... I just think he forgot how to let it out!
Wow, this radio presenter sounds just like Handsome Dan. Makes me cringe.
He looks like he's in prison.
Michael Langley imo, he is 24/7
lol he looks stoned on hhere,, would been so funny if he threw another fit in the studio and had a breakdown, lol!
How would that be funny. He looks like a tired man who has been to hell and back, not stoned.
