I have heard too many stories of people getting pants or any loose articles of clothing caught up on that PTO and most end in a fatality. If you have a sleeve to cover the PTO, USE IT please! A friend mine had his grandma get tangled up pretty much the same as this demonstration showed here. Very very sad outcome.
Pretty sure we can create some kind of metallic cover that comes with it from factory. It will cover the whole rotating mechanism, avoiding any contact with it. And once you’re done you can simply open the cover and remove it if you want to dissemble the power take-off. Cmon!
I looked this up because a 13 year old girl just died with one of these in Croghan NY. I didn’t know what it was. Now I do. All I can say is wow
I looked it up after reading that a 5 year old killed in Reno County around the first of July, 2019 when his clothes got caught in the PTO while family member was working on his tractor. Very tragic.
I never got around to see the video of what my head was caught in. My friend showed me.... Holy cow !!! I can' t figure out how I got away from death. I am astonished,
