    Why was I bitching about this call more than normal? I’m tired. I’m tired of the half ass work done by others. I don’t care about the money, that time has passed when you have already had someone else out to make the repair. I believe in doing it right or you can go home but don’t have me clean up your miss when I already did my full day. If you can’t understand that then I’m not the video channel for you. I have a personality that will share anything I know but I can’t teach someone to care about what they do. That’s a personal decision that person has to make for themself. Thanks for the support I get from my awesome viewers✌️

    Lets fix this lazy or unexperienced technician problem with the 5 year apprentice program. Ask your boss to provide you with a greeny fresh from hvac school. The apprentice will ride with you to every job for 3 years minimum. 5 is better. Are you and other experienced journymen willing to do this? Is your company willing to spend the money to train the apprentice for 5 years? Unlikely.
    When i was the apprentice, I was on every job with the journyman for 3 years solid. Worked with the company for 5 years total. Are there any other solutions? Any ideas?

    • @HVACRSurvival
      @HVACRSurvival  หลายเดือนก่อน

      I have no problem with somebody riding with me. I mean in reality I'm bringing several thousand people with me every time I record a video and we do have an apprenticeship program but it's only once a week for a few hours for four or five years. I've even helped teach it, but I see where it's lacking and I actually have talked with my supervisor on having people ride with me but like you said if they're already making in the mid $20s as a total rookie, it's kind of hard to have me at top pay and add them too because now your company cost of labor is more than what charging or damn near close to it. Yes I'm in Ohio where we cant charge the crazy money some companys charge in other states or larger citys. Are population in under 40K people.

      Possibly high moisture in the box, most common is just visually inspected and see if it has tears, rips or gaps between the magnet and the door frame.

      Apprenticeship is really good if they have it well developed. You’re gonna learn most of it in the field anyway, but you do need to understand the basics. I wouldn’t spend much more than 15 grand on school. Heck I spent 11 K back in 95 so it’s somewhere in the mid twenties to 30 now and there’s no way in hell I would spend that.

      Heat Tape was seen at the back of the coil and went down the drain hole. You also seen the heat tape when I repaired the drain line and had to pull the heat tape out to rerun the pipe. I mentioned we normally insulate it. This was not installed by us, they have problems paying there bills so I'm not spending any extra time or money than needed.

    I also hate when people cut corners. Working as a hvacr techie in Sweden. There's many times I use bad words and getting upset, specially when the company I work for gets new customers, and I come to their half-ass working units with many "mr handyman" solutions. And sometimes it's a big f***ing mess to sort it out. 😉

      @@HVACRSurvival To be honest. Some contractors cut corners here as well. I hate that. But most of the contractors makes good efforts (It's always some dirt in the cake no matter what). Still we got very narrow regulations about everything. I worked for an another hvacr company for not even a year, where we was told to cut corners, by the boss. I couldn't stand that, so I went for another hvacr company, where I'm still at.
