It should be noted SW2's Anegawa is actually from Xtreme Legends. In base SW2 they used Defense Battle as the theme, an also-very good theme that captured the hectic rush of SW2's version of the battle.
@@RandomCollection04 They chose it to play elsewhere. in Mercenary Mode in 2 XL it plays in Anegawa. Im not sure why but im going to assume it was either a design choice or time constraints.
@@KazShiro Thank you so much. I have been looking for the source of the Battle of Anegawa in SW2 because I think every character’s Battle of Anegawa is the BGM of a defensive battle. It turns out to be mercenary mode. Thank you so much.
omg omg omg im crying, it's really you, cant believe you are still around. back then when i was an 8 years old kid you was like an idol to me( and now i'm almost 21 ) because I watched alot of your videos and learnt how to play dw5 and set up weapon for wo1 through your videos, i just wanna say u helped me alot when i first play koei warriors game. love youu
Wow. It's been so many years I didn't think anyone would know anymore..... Let alone get a message dropped liked this. Appreciate you taking the time to drop a message and say hi. Makes me really miss the old days. So.... Do you know if the games are any good these days?? I mean... Are they worthy of tier list making?? And chaos mode etc Hahahaa... If not.... Does anyone know?? Or have an opinion?? I randomly stumbled on the music from the older games for nostalgia. Then I thought..... Dang I gotta check out what the newer OSTs sound like. And shit.....SW4 remixes are excellent. I've been rocking several SW4 tracks at the gym for a few weeks now.
You asked the right person lol because I'm a Koei's masochist so my answer is this series is still very very good. Everytime they release a new warriors game, I have to buy it. And i haven't got bored of playing these games yet. No game have stayed with me for like 10 years but Koei's warriors games. These days, the word "Chaos" has really lost its reputation in Koei's warriors game. It no longer is the hardest mode since DW6. And for "Chaos", it only available in story mode/ free mode but those are kinda bored compared to other special mode they made in the later games (Gauntled mode of WO3U, Infinity mode of WO4U, Survival mode in SW4II etc.) So by playing chaos mode is re-playing any last stage in the story mode for every characters will be quite lame for making a tier list. I bet you still remember that Bai Di castle map in WO1 lol. So instead of "Chaos", you should try other special mode which is harder and more challenges. These are infinite battlefields that change every time you play, not just a single stage like in the story mode. For example, Gauntled mode in WO3U has massive crowd, overpowered enemy with special abilities which makes your character much smaller. They can stun you, they can use magic to freeze you constantly (not the ice orb ya know), they can do anything or even one shot you. You will die if you're not careful. Even tho I have 10 years experiences of playing these games but I still die alot when i play Gauntled mode in WO3U. It's more fun compared to "Chaos". I dont know if you have played any of the later games yet but I will recommend you four of them that is WO3U, SW4II,SW5 and DW9. About WO3U, I have to say BESTEST of the best. Great scenario, great story, Gauntled mode,... everything is too perfect. I cried at the ending when the mystics send the DW and SW back to their worlds even they dont wanna say good bye. SW4II is a great choice. The characters's atk are still the same like WO1 but Koei added the hyper atk move so it is really good. The map is larger and yes, great BGMs. SW5 is good. They remake every characters. New appearances, new weapons, my favorite about this one is Yoshimoto Imagawa is a completely another man, not the weird fool playing volley ball. He's not a trash in SW5. DW9, much like SW5. They change the game alot. Open map, new play style, new mission system, you even have a house and decorate it. Tho many people are disappointed in DW9 but i think you should give it a chance. Hmm... that's all. And oh, about the BGM you should really just type like "DW9 ost" , "WO4U ost" in the search bar of youtube. There will be playlists that others have made. But if you want some good song from the later games, here are some of mine: DW9 Gaze upon the fate, WO3U half line, WO4 in full bloom trinity mix and SW4 Okehazama DLC. You will feel energetic if you listen to these when you at the gym lol. But like I said, you should really go to the whole playlist and listen. Other songs are epic and fantastic too. You will probably find your songs there.
One more thing I wanna tell you that English is not my first language. So when I was a kid and played WO1 I just rashly added any weapon attributes I have onto my weapon. Result in I had freaking a hard time navigated through a single chaos stage. So when I found your videos, I used a pen to write down the weapon attributes you had (tho I dont understand a thing) then start to set up a proper weapon. You really make me miss my old days too hahaha. Back then I was really ask myself that "What is "slay" but btw it must be a weak attribute since it has four letters" so i never had slay on my weapon before I watched your videos lmao🤣 So I can say if it hadnt been for you, I wouldnt have stayed with this Koei's Warriors game series til this day. Just losing and having a weak character is so frustrating. But you really are a Saint to helped me out. So nostalgic!
I miss this series. I know SW5 wasn't exactly good... but I hope they're not done with it. Sadly, their other projects make more money, so there isn't a real push to go back to the Samurai Warriors series. Heck, even the Dynasty Warriors series is in a rough patch.
The SW5 isn't exactly my favorite, but I'm surprised I don't hate it. Anegawa from the first game has always easily been my favorite SW song, so I'm glad they didn't butcher it. I'm still quite unsure if I will buy this game, cause I'm not particularly a fan of this new direction. From someone who played all SW games, all DW, except the first two, and all Warriors Orochi, as much as there is a lot of interesting stuff from what I saw, I grew up with characters in a certain way, so to see them all so very different is... a bit hard to swallow. I just hope the same doesn't happen to DW, but it certainly makes me wonder how the future WO games will be.
The only problem I have with samurai warriors 1 and xl was: 1. Too few characters 2. Too few stages 3. That warriors edit training stage 4. Nene > kunoichi (fight me) 5. English vo needs improvement. Unlike dw3 english vo, I can't laugh at it. Other than that, I think I like everything else. It has the best atmosphere---bleak. Totally different from dynasty warriors 4. Oh, and the music. The music.
SW1: the crazy bridge under a stormy sky, that bridge is everything. Changban bridge who? We don't know her. SW2: nasty streams that make it impossible for you to cross so you have to take a detour. Even Sanzang or XiaoQiao double jump then jump charge can't literally do anything. SW3: Garrisons appear in the middle of the water maybe, but WO3's version is actually more impressive than SW3's version. Big Sakura trees inside those garrisons, Ninja Gaiden map with modern streets, highways, buildings, vehicles, aircons and Kyomori's weaponry gates. Cross-over maps are always terrific, I'm glad that Anegwa is one of them alongside Mt. Dingjun, Jiangdong, Liaodong, Xu province, Yan Province, Wan castle,... Unlike many DW stages, Anegwa, Kyushu & Hasedo are the 3 only SW stages that are cross-over maps which makes those more special. SW4: the paddy fields and lots of sunflowers at the Azai's main camp. You will actually feel this version has nothing special if you play on the Azai's site. But at Tokugawa's site, when the officers of the Azai-Asakura were all annihilated, the main camp gate opened, leading you to the land filled with paddy fields and sunflowers, such a beautiful yet melancholic view. Also, the sunflowers are all toward another direction so I don't think the sun warms fallen hearts like Nagamasa and Oichi, like... this Samurai Era didn't choose them, which makes me sad. WO4: why did they use the Anegawa ost on the Nagashino map? SW5: I either have nothing to say or don't want to say anything about this disappointing game.
All of the music sounds amazing in their own way
I agree!
Definitely sets the tone which is different from game to game in the series
It's you...
@Yakunji he definitely a musou fans, cuz i saw him in lots of ost of musou games.....
never played 4 but its kind of impressing me, who is a 1 superfan

My most favourite stage in every game. 🌸. I just wish the Azai side would be playable in SW5.
I wish we had the Azai version of the song too
I liked it more than the Oda version 🥲
Awesome. Really hope you do theme compilations of the other big battles too!
It makes sense that Oda’s version has a much faster pace since he significantly outnumbers Azai Asakura
1 and 4 are my favorites
The Anegawa Trinity Mix from WO4 sounds like if Nagamasa and Nobunaga were fighting in the club.
True, sounds like it but doesn't feel like it
Oh this is the trinity mix weirdly enough never actually listened to this
Thanks for doing this

Damn, I never noticed just how much the guitar in SW5 RULES.
Wind instrument aside, i love the subtle string playing in background, especially in SW2
I feel like it's too subdued in 2. Tbh it feels like everything in 2 is too subdued behind the lead shakuhachi.
nice to see a updated version of the compilation
