- Remember the board of progress a few years ago? It's time to make another one! My apologies for how rough we all look in this vid...tiredness from late nights in the studio have taken its toll on our faces it seems.
Anyway, there is a lot of progress to be made!
And 7 years later we are finally getting this album 🎉
Okay, so now we've heard 6 out of 13 songs from the Board of Progress!!
I would call that... progress...
I love that they decided to do the board at Danny's house while Danny was just in his studio the whole time haha

What I love about this videos is that they actually are invested in the music they make together. I don't think another band is this invested to their music. Mcfly goes on writing trips and have these boards of progress and I just think it is admirable.
This video made me really happy :) I love plotting stuff out on paper when you're working on things. For the last album we worked on, we had a flip chart and each song had its own page with lots of notes and doodles all over it.
Do you think Tom would have believed us if we told him he'd have two kids before this album actually came out?

he did 33 ÷ 17. not sure why 15 changed to 17 but never mind!!!

bahahaha I love how much time they spent making the progress blog and the amount of concentration and interest they put in it. this is why mcfly is so lovable :)
I can't wait for you guys to come to the USA, so pumped about it. The fact that almost all the girls in school chant, "One Direction" instead of McFly irritates me. I feel like I've been waiting for such a long time for you guys to finally come to the States so I could watch you perform!

The album will probably never be released in the form you see here considering fans will have heard a lot of the songs already. There are liveversion of Red and Touch the Rain, Love is Easy, Cherry Cola and Do Whatcha were on the Best Of album and Love is on the Radio was released as the lead single when they still thought that they'd release the album. So thats basiclly half the songs on the album right there.
The question is what'll happend to the other songs. In all honesty they've probably written loads of songs since so they will be more inclined to put the new ones on a future album.
Kaben I read somewhere that 'Getting It Out' from the McBusted album was a song for the 6th album. 🤔 So there's another one. 😂😂

I so hope so. Its such a good song. Also I know theyve already done a cover with Busted but the cherry cola one could be a cover of Lola as one of the lines is "where they drink champagne that tastes just like cherry cola"

It's their method of keeping track of which parts (instruments, vox, misc.) have been recorded for each song and what parts need to be done yet.

i think where the stickers are placed means that instrument for that particular song has been recorded, so it just shows what needs to be done...something along the lines of that :)

I think the stickers are meant to mark whether they have recorded that parts of the songs that they have recorded. Like if they have recorded the bass parts for Love is easy, they put a sticker in that box

Yeah I understand that, this is sort of their 2nd best of album as they did 'All the Greatest Hits'. All the songs from the normal version of Memory Lane I have, so I didn't want to just buy them again, I ordered the Deluxe edition expecting RED and a couple of other new songs as it was advertised/listed when I ordered it on Amazon and as mentioned in this video... when you get told you're going to get to hear/have something it's a let down when you don't.
