I had phantom sense before I watched this for video, but now it's gone. :( To be more specific, I've been playing VRC for a few years now, around two years on laptop and a little less than two with a headset and I noticed phantom sense even before getting the headset, this may be from my own imagination, immersion or method acting habits, but it was faint, I could only really feel a warm fuzzy feelings if I was immersed or in the right mood. Before I watched this video a few months ago I was going through some rough, emotional times, maybe even depression (I say this as if I'm not still going through that, but that's aside the point). I was also trying to get into hypnosis to increase my phantom sense at the time, which brought me to this video. But to this day I still cannot tell if hypnosis actually works on me, despite focusing, relaxing, trusting, trying to believe and imagine, I've never once felt like I couldn't just snap myself out of trance at will, maybe I need a personal session instead of a video. While I love this video with its intricate induction, rhymes, and stories, I'm not sure why I feel less than I did before, whether it's the way an option was introduced to lessen the phantom sense at the end, my own low points hindering me from feeling, or maybe hypnosis simply not working, after watching this video I don't really have phantom sense anymore, and I miss it.
Oh, this is a common misconception: hypnosis isn't always 100% instantly, it's a two-way street. One must work toward ignoring the impulse to 'snap out of it'. A lot of others are like you who can just get out of it at first, but being the hypnotized means keeping the mind as open and pliable as possible, even training toward this as a goal. Don't worry about whether or not hypnosis works for you in the present time, it can be a skill you can build up regardless of how naturally suggestible you are.
In other words, being hypnotized relies on how you train your subconscious. If you believe the video took away the phantom sense, then your subconscious will prevent you from feeling phantom sense. Vice versa, if you instead believe the video gives you phantom sense, your subconscious will heighten the sense. The trick to being hypnotized is to guide your mind to work alongside the hypnotist's words.
Can I develop phantom sense further after this vid? Like should I be playing VRC more often? I really wanna have strong PS like my friends, it seems soooo cool! I just kinda get sad because I've never felt anything
If you understand what hypnosis is, and listen to the file, there is a possibility yes! Multiple People I know have come to me explaining how I've helped them acquire better phantom touch, while many have also complained that the "Drop" in this video isn't satisfactory.

Dont have to write a long reply bc damn I wrote a lot on the other comment... Sorry dude... I appreciate how much youve helped btw
@@FritzyFreak I mean if quite literally. If you listen to the file not knowing what it's for, you'll just be listening to some guy talk your ear off for half an hour. And it can be strangely off putting for a lot of people. If you recognize what hypnosis is, the practice and how it's meant to help you slow down your mind it can help with that. Just because I have made a file that works for some people, doesn't mean it will work for everybody.
Sometimes you swing, Sometimes you miss. This IS an old file. And part of the work is how "Monotonous" it can sound to slowly begin drowning out the other senses.
I have it and it affects me in real life and it’s sometimes painful would there be a way to remove or muffle it to where it wouldn’t affect me in the real world
Theoretically, there is a way to muffle, or remove some effects of phantom touch. I've gone through the process of removing it near "The Nether Regions" in people because they didn't like it when weirdos walked up to them in the VR realm. I've always offered to give sessions to remove phantom pain, but many seem to decline the offer for some reason. So it's not entirely something I know how to do, but I believe its possible!
I wouldn't say he "Fell asleep" persay. The experience of hypnosis isn't exactly the same for everyone! Some people can experience a total blackout of their surroundings as they begin to tunnel vision in on one thing in particular. While other people become so focused on one thing, they accidentally seem to become aware of absolutely everything at once! Becoming more aware of everything around them with much more heightened senses!
@@FunkyCheshirein the past view vrc sessions (yesterday) i had phantom sense in my face, very strong on my cheek bones, where the headset lays on, so I can't tell if it really was phantom sense or just the headsets rubber sticking on and off of my skin However I can say that the feeling moved with the fur that touched my cheek (I cuddled with someone while watching a movie together x3) And with a transparent mirror that allows me to see the movie and my position, i think it has enhanced the power of the sense

@@FunkyCheshire honestly that hadn't even crossed my mind until shortly after i posted this comment! lol. Amazing work by the way, i can say i actually felt an increase in my phantom sense after listening to this just one time. good stuff 👌
I do know why! Not every individual has the same level of susceptibility when it comes to hypnosis. Not one induction will allow everyone to experience hypnosis. Some individuals need multiple personal sessions done on them to experience hypnosis, while some can enjoy the beauty of it with simple files that are made and posted everywhere.

@@FunkyCheshire When you say about understanding what hypnosis is what do you mean? I feel like I Know but wanna ask you so I know I actually have the correct meaning of it or well practice I guess.
Well I didn’t experience Cheshire Relaxation but I did experience Cheshire Annoyance. So monotonous in like three different ways.
Sometimes you swing, Sometimes you miss. This IS an old file. And part of the work is how "Monotonous" it can sound to slowly begin drowning out the other senses.
I’m trying so hard with the numbers but my brain too slow 😭😭 I’ll go again
You're **Meant** to be confused! So it's working!
I just Don't fall asleep like they do in the video.
Idk why xP
But I wish it would work
I wouldn't say he "Fell asleep" persay.
@@FunkyCheshirein the past view vrc sessions (yesterday) i had phantom sense in my face, very strong on my cheek bones, where the headset lays on, so I can't tell if it really was phantom sense or just the headsets rubber sticking on and off of my skin
However I can say that the feeling moved with the fur that touched my cheek
(I cuddled with someone while watching a movie together x3)
And with a transparent mirror that allows me to see the movie and my position, i think it has enhanced the power of the sense
Question, do your eyes need to be closed? @ me in a comment i get alot of videos in my thing so i might not see it
You kind of sound like "The Outsider" from the Dishonored games
Oh? I'll have to check out who that is! :O
Can I meet you on vrchat and just sit there and listen to your voice? Please?
Button The Cat.
Does anyone know if this will still work if you don't open/close your hands when you need to? I find it really difficult to follow along with it lol like my brain doesn't process the previous number before it's on to the next one
You might not believe me... But that *IS* the point x3
@@FunkyCheshire honestly that hadn't even crossed my mind until shortly after i posted this comment! lol. Amazing work by the way, i can say i actually felt an increase in my phantom sense after listening to this just one time. good stuff 👌
Does not work for some people and do you know why?
if so do you know how to get it?
I do know why!
Not every individual has the same level of susceptibility when it comes to hypnosis. Not one induction will allow everyone to experience hypnosis. Some individuals need multiple personal sessions done on them to experience hypnosis, while some can enjoy the beauty of it with simple files that are made and posted everywhere.
How da heck this get on my home page
Could you do this with controllers?
what do you mean by that?
opening and closing our hands
@@lupddup uhm, it was done while my friend was holding his own controllers. As long as the action is there, it should be okay
How do yall get hypnotised?!?!!!!
Im trying to focus on what he is saying, but Im just getting more and more confused?!
When it's a "Confusion Induction" it's more likely than you think! ;D
Does this video work or do I have to be there in person?🤨
If one is susceptible to the induction I provided, anyone listening may be able to acquire phantom touch by listening, and following along with the video! I tend to be a lot better in person however.
Ight
are you ok with other people using your script(s)?
If you have the ability to pull it off, go ahead buddy. :)
@@FunkyCheshire would you be willing to share the script in a txt file if you have one?
Add me on discord for that one ButtonTheCheshire@@iceyrazor
i could kinda feel it, is it supposed to feel delayed in a way?
Everyone's experience is different!!!!
@@FunkyCheshire ah fair enough, I'll admit following the numbers got confusing at times but by the end I did feel relaxed so I think it did something good. Keep up the good work (btw I bet you'd make killer asmr content)
@@harleypalmer1978 when it's a "Confusion Induction" eventually ending up confused is the point! (And if I ever figure out how to whisper hard enough for brain tingles, I might try)
@@FunkyCheshire well sure enough my brain done ended up confused but it was an enjoyable and confusing experience which was the point to my knowledge so thumbs up from me 👍
What exactly is phantom sense? I'm new here
Its way yoo long of an experience for me to write in a single comment. I recommend looking it up on google!
