Great interview once again Kent and Rex. BATTLECRY is one band I never heard of until now, and I see that ROXX Records has it, it will be in my collection. I have to say when they mentioned their band member passing away due to complications of diabetes, that hit home with me. I was diagnosed with type 1 diabets a little over 40 years ago, and it is not easy. I get a lot of help and support from family and friends. I had a friend from my home church in NJ who had type 1 diabetes as well and never took care of himself. He went home to be with the Lord at the age of 26. I do shows every once in a while, and I talk about living with the diabetes to let people know that in living with this, God is still faithful and has seen me through this. Bob and Martilo keep serving God like you are, and Kent and Rex, keep up the great work. By the way, I go by Jerry Elder.

Someone very near and dear to me in my family has diabetes, and I've seen how "tricky" or tedious it can be to keep it under control. It was certainly an honor to have Bob and Mariko as our guests for this episode. It was perfect in that my mom had bought the cassette for me decades ago, and here I find myself at "Mother's Day" as I type this. My mom is with The Lord now, and I'm so grateful that - through Christ Jesus - I will be able to see her again one Day in God's way. "Red White and Blue" by Battlecry is one great little gem of an EP filled with classic rock and hard rock vibes. I'm stoked that ROXX Records has remastered it, expanded it with loads of extra tracks and is releasing it on CD for the first time! Love this interview! Yes we were the teen girls wearing the bikinis together. No one taught us back then😂. But as we got older we trained up our children in the way they should go…amen! So glad we got to sing together in high school mariko!
I’m pretty sure I still have a picture of us in our bikinis Jess! We were born and bred by the beach so I have nothing against them, but not exactly the best choice for a youth camp. 😂
