for the fog lights to plug in you just need to buy the e46 fog lamp plugs from bmw cut off the stock e39 plugs and replace with the e46 ones and they work fine for some reason aftermarket companys use e46 fog lamps

I've got this bumper on my 01 530. Pretty good quality overall. The fitment by the wheel wells is short by about a half inch on both sides, ALL aftermarket M5 bumpers are like this. Did you need to trim back the air diverter "scoop" for the radiator on this model year, I certainly did. Also those wheel well liners can pretty easily tuck into the bumper edge, easier to do when the plastic is hot. Those fog light lenses will crack if you look at them wrong, super thin glass, both of mine cracked within 6 months. The cost vs appearance is definitely still a win for this set up, especially for 15+ year old cars who's going to drop $1000 for a factory painted bumper?

I wish they would scrap all the other crap (other trim, el cheapo fog lights) and just sell a better fitting bumper at the same price.

@@AdamAus85 yea I installed this same bumper with cheap fog lights after my original one got ripped off. The fog lights got destroyed within a few months. Plastic breaking gaskets missing one was just being held by adjustment screw. Luckily I kept the original ones and merged 4 crap ones into 2 decent ones lol

how much does job cost ? and why dont u use camera stand (tripod) so u can film from 2-3m away...than u can work easier with both hands....

I have a question Nathan: I have a 2002 E39 525it with the sports package that I would like to retrofit this bumper into.
Can I use my existing moulding rocker panel strips stips with PDC with this bumper? or would I have to drill holes into the strips that come with the bumper?

I also have Oxford Green E39 1998 and just bought that bumper. I've seen your videos before but uncanny how related this one is to my car. It's also going in for paint soon so want to install the bumper first. Question, how are you dealing with the trim? The stock trim on my car has chrome top lines but the M5 bumper trim does not.

I replaced the bumper with the m5 bumper on my old 528. I had to unfortunately shorten the bumper shocks. It looks like your fitment is really good. What brand did you go with ?

Hey Nathan, I have a question. It's not related to this video, but what is your opinion's on the BMW 6 series in the 80s? I know there old, and a lot are ragged, but some look okay. Would you recommend it? My next choice would be an e39. I'm mechanically inclined and do work myself btw, even if it's a bitch lol
