Our suns are inconjunct by sign about 8 degrees apart but
my Jupiter conjuncts her sun while
Her Jupiter conjuncts my mars
If it wasn’t for our other supporting aspects I could totally see it playing out the way you explained because I rarely feel comfortable with inconjunct aspects in a synastry chart
