Thanks for posting this. I am from Toronto and I've never seen anything like this in my 50 years. This is a warning for our future as it will get even worse. Living with climate change is the result of our inaction for decades. We have been forewarned and we are still not changing our ways. My heart goes out to all my fellow Torontonians.
hey thanks for the video upload..That def explains why I gotta re route my buses and trains.. Took almost an hour for that. On top of that a couple of weeks ago a fire in chinatown that blocks the road.. man
holy shit i read stuff on facebook but i never realized it was this bad. i was even in toronto til about 3:30 i left before rush hour... got hit by a ton of rain near aurora, some of the heaviest ive ever driven in, but it didn't last long.
It is the sign of the times; there will be more storms like this more frequently. Too little rain, too much rain, too hot, nooo snow and then nooooooo food. Our blessings from global warming.
I came home that night and stripped off in the bathtub because I was literally soaked to the skin! But the good news was I got the next day off work because my workplace had flooded.
What about the august 2003 blackout/flood! everyone forgot about that, it was pretty intense on that day too. HOWEVER, this was worse than 2003 I will say
Notice how there are almost no stranded trucks and SUV's. A civic might save you on mileage, but not when you have to buy a new car because yours floated away. I had fun jumping in puddles. O|||||O

I am so sorry to hear about the flooding. I hope everything goes soon back to normal.
where was that first picture taken?
I love the opening photo - it looks like a shot out of a michael bay movie or something
It never flooded in Brampton ...why?

All things considered, I got off pretty lightly. Very wet coming home, no power for several hours and an unexpected day off work the next day!!
