I love that it was live on TH-cam! More accessible, reminds me of the old broadcasts, and all the money from streams and views can go back to the parade! Brilliant! The best broadcast in a long time! Keep up the good work! Love the hosts too. Perfect job! ❤
It used to be cable tv, incredibly accessible.
i think it’s wonderful….when everyone can come together all over the world to celebrate christmas together
We can't wait for everyone to start adding it into their Holiday Traditions in a new way!
Was super fun to come to Canada and be able to perform in this parade! I was with the Gahanna marching band at 27:21. And just a small correction, we are from Ohio and not Ontario
I loved hearing and seeing the bands! Honestly, the broadcast hasn’t been done this well in a loonnngggg time! Good work!
Pooja & Gurdeep! You got it right! When the bands come by, we want to hear the bands! Yay! Thank you! Perfect!
Merry Christmas everyone!
Everyone go shop Peace Collective! I saw during the broadcast that they made Santa Claus parade clothing! It’s so cute and I’m so glad it goes towards supporting the Santa Claus parade!
Great job Pooja and Gurdeep! This was so much fun!
Way better than seeing Melissa Grelo and friends telecast for the last few years / cutting parade footage to focus more them and not the parade itself.
Thanks, Pooja and Gurdeep, it was so much fun watching. I love 98.1 ❤️ and listen to u both every day while I am going to work . Thank you love and blessings
Great show radio folks!!!
Great idea and well done to do UTube
Thanks Mr McRae for all the nifty bands.
🎷🎶🎸
Christmas seems to be the only time of year where Canada still feels like Canada, keep the spirit alive!!
Great job! Merry Christmas 🎄
I remember when I was a kid the Santa Claus parade, Macy's Thanksgiving parade in New York City, Aloha parade in Hawaii, and Mickey Mouse parade at Disneyland in California on CBS TV
Honestly a great thing this is available on TH-cam.
27:22 The Gahanna Lincoln Marching Band from Gahanna, OHIO! 😄
Thanks gooja and purdeep!
Watching On TH-cam Is Better Then Watching On TV
The video is great, you need to keep promoting your channel. Is not hard.
Don't forget to donate everyone!!!!!!!
I was walking with the mayor holding the banner in the parade
I WAS THERE!!!!!!!
5 years we did not have Santa parade in the ever boring Vancouver
I'm on the Toronto Star float in the middle
One word of advice… this is not the first stream that comes up on TH-cam. Other conglomerates and tv broadcast channels streams and individual streams come up first. I only got here from the Santa Claus parade webpage. There needs to be some work done with TH-cam so that this is the first result in the search. Also, more advertising for the stream on instagram, Snapchat, Facebook, X (twitter) etc. It’s so much better streaming it on TH-cam, especially since most people don’t have cable anymore. Would love to see Netflix pick it up in future or see it on Pluto tv! It really has that old school broadcast vibe and I love it. The hosts don’t have their faces plastered on the screen talking over everything every 5 seconds, so this was great. Keep doing it this way, it was fantastic.
There is no excuse that any of the 4 major Toronto media outlets could not have televised the parade on any of their outlets!
TH-cam BS
Ridley college performance was absolutely insane
Love that I can watch it here but a little advice, the parade doesn't start until about 1:02:40
The First Santa Claus Parade in Toronto was sponsored by the Eaton's Department Store in December 1905
It's me!!!
Heading there now
It used to be wonderful, now, they won't even show it on tv.
I don’t know it’s some kind of of Licensing Thing or just simply not being able to get Permission? Or what? But I Personally Feel that the Parade could be Greatly Enhanced with some Musical Performances Like they always do, and besides All of the Musical Performances are my Favourite Parts of The Original Santa Claus Parade. But either then that I’d say it was more than a Successful First Annual on TH-cam. First of Many I Hope? As it Really Both Confused and Disappointed me when I couldn’t find it on Cable Like I always do every year. As The Original Santa Claus Parade is not just an Annual thing to me but it’s how I like to kick the Holiday Season Off. For The Original Santa Claus Parade is also away to let the (Insert Year Here) Holiday Season Begin. Without just doesn’t Feel Right to me. It be like Christmas Without Santa or A Christmas Carol, it just doesn’t Feel Right Without it.
In Fact a Holiday Season without it or A Christmas Carol just Feels Fake and a Poor Imitation to me.
Not yet. End in st Lawrence market
Its here on the front st, near godderham building
Now still Wellington
It also sucks that there's absolutely no promotion on the santa claus parade.I listened to the radio and i'm on line all the time and not one promotion was made for this.I had someone come here from the Islands and this was gonna be his first winter ever. Um, this is his first weekend year and I would have loved to take him. So i'm pretty annoyed that I only heard from one customer about a week ago about this, and I totally forgot bombarded with work

THEY TOOK AWAY MY BOY😭
39:40 I SEE ME
I miss when this was on TV. Yea, putting it on TH-cam makes it more accessible for everyone, but it just wasn’t the same. The commentators barely spoke. Maybe the budget wasn’t the same as past years…I can’t quite put my finger on it, but it just wasn’t the same.
Hi friend
You certainly were not there yesterday!
Sorry on youtube another tradition gone !
Marilyn "Desjardins" spoke waaaay too long from 1:16:52 to 1:19:36 during prime time of a band and of Mother Goose. Mother Goose didn't even get a mention. And why are we listening to music about wombats and butterflies?? That doesn't even make sense.
Television broadcasts include 20 minutes of commercial every hour, so while it's unfortunate that they didn't show the parade while she talked, they did foot the bill for a portion of the event to exist.
@@NicholasMoreau this wasnt a television broadcast the camera should be on the parade not the people speaking they could have talked at a different part of the parade or the beginning when we were watching empty street before the parade
@@tracyforsyth4060 I totally agree with you.She should have been interviewed when her own company float was going by.Seing Mother Goose not getting the recognition it deserves was a little insulting as that icon has been in almost every parade since the beginning and 2nd place in peoples mind(I think anyway) to Santa's float. Some other floats and attractions got bypassed or not mentioned as well which is disappointing as everyone worked hard to be there and should be acknowledged.
I’m to St. Lawrence
Are they there yet?
Is it over?
Where is it happening right now?
Dayton entertainment
Is it finished
Where are they now?
is it over??
next year please put the Santa Claus braids back on television the broadcast sucks to being on TH-cam
Where is it now ?
Wellington. End in st Lawrence Market
Its not going to be on TV? That sucks.
Not sure why CTV passed, but the former broadcaster (Global) is in financial trouble.
@@NicholasMoreau i guess many viewers have ditched cable and rely on Smartphones/tablets/SmartTVs to access TH-cam to watch the parade, whether live or to watch later.
CTVs broadcast kept getting worse cuz it focuses on their hosts and their family/friends rather than the parade itself.
Yay for Pooja and Gurdeep for taking over this year.
@@NicholasMoreau Better to watch live than 2 weeks later I think
It’s Christmas not June!
Great, welcome to the DEI Santa Clause Parade, can any cultural tradition remain untouched by the woke brigade? I'll just watch one from the 80's and enjoy the memories. Merry Christmas ✝️
Cry more
Somebody’s getting coal for Christmas 🎅
FIRST!!!!!!!!!
Is it over now ??
@kashifgill1891 the live stream is over.
One of the worst Santa Claus parades ever.
Sad compared to Disney's and The Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City .
@@josephforest7605please donate then!
What does Pride have to do with Santa and children? Don't the letter people get way too much airtime already?
Yikes! What happened to the production quality of this? Honestly the WORST Toronto Santa Claus Parade ever!
What happened is that corporations pulled out their sponsorship, including CTV. The parade itself had to improvise and create a broadcast team from scratch.
The result of inflation 😔.
Many floats were scaled back and replaced with other sponsors.
Example - Toys R Us, replaced with Casa Loma featuring Mrs. Claus.
CIBC was the only bank featured. No TD Bank/BMO/Scotiabank/RBC.
Metro was the only grocery chain featured. No Shoppers Drug Mart.
No TV station channel featured, though CHFI maintained theirs.
Sponsors are also facing hard times financially and had to scale down or cancel sponsorship
Boooo
Wonderful idea as many can't get out to watch 🫶🏼🎄🎅
We're happy you agree! We are excited for all the families they didn't have the opportunity to watch!
