Yes the cement on the windows and doors irritated me. I hope they make a success of the shop. I helped someone similar and 6 months later they had no money and nothing left. The family must have a different mindset. They have been helped to become self sufficient now.

Yes I was so disappointed to see they didn’t rub the dry cement off the surfaces. Just watched an episode where she went to church in the middle of the day and closed her shop. Buyer came and she wasn’t there.

Everyone seem so keep saying Mama Amma! It is her daughter Ann who should be commended. and invited to give positive ideas in the running of their business.
Remember Ann’s original complaint in her letter is that her father was absent and a drunk. He might be present, but look like a drunk. I hope this is not a waste of money. Is the dad working to help or trying to be a parasite.

There is enough land space though to build a structure for a shop at the front corner of the lot, so that people are not always trekking into their yard. It could be a small structure with a front door, counter and shelves behind to display the product.
You should frame that letter from Ann,later it can be used in a documentary of the village.
Show mama Ann that wholesale shop so that she can be restocking her supplies from the same place. This is a fantastic job that you guys are doing for this family. They will be forever grateful.

If possible build them a stall near the roadside.
The idea 💡 of cooking hot food is good.
Let them sell some sodas and sweets as well.
If possible buy them a fridge and freezer to cool fruit juices and meat products for making meals and nyama choma.
Finally use your channel and the channels you collaborate with to help with promotion 👍

I think we shouldn't encourage the consuming of sugary products coz in my experience when people don't know any better especially if it's never been a part of their diet / lifestyle they consume them more to the detriment of their health. Our healthy organic diet as Africans is what saved the continent from COVID-19 to the dismay of the west. Most people wouldn't know exactly how their food benefits them but they eat it because that's what they grew up with and what they know so if they are presented with other options they can unfortunately adopt these new tendencies to the destruction of their health.

I also say taking too much sugar is the main problem. I don't know where you live but I think taking some sugar such as with tea and fruit juice is fairly okay.
For example if you squeeze lemon or orange juice and put some sugar in it then that is not too bad.
If you curd milk to make yogurts you can put a bit of sugar or honey.
If you make millet or maize porridge and put some lemon juice or peanut butter with some sugar then that will be fine.
You can sell all the above products at Mama Ann's place.

Marwa didn't know that you were doing the shopping for Anne family otherwise I would have helped with the list: Don't forget flour for chapati, coffee, candies for the children to purchase.Later she can add to the list as she goes along.Things needed stuff like pens pencils etc.Things that one run out of quickly like matches,kerosene and cooking oil sugar, salt and the list goes on.
I DON'T KNOW HOW U WD HAVE HELPED IF U DIDN'T SEE HE GOT ALL THOSE THINGS except the coffee. Most ppl can n do grow their own coffee. This is the best idea but please note that shop retail is one of the challenging I think before they start selling mama Ann needs to be first be trained to also understand the pricing of items she still needs a lot before starting operation

I would also suggest to continue to support the business by helping them to organise and run the business until they have embraced the skills they need and the business is taking off. Business takes a bit of time at times to take off. I would also suggest when you went shopping you probably should have involved them and go with them so they know where to get what and how much etc.

This is an excellent video - such transformational work has resulted in this family being able to continue their lives with dignity and have respect for each other. I thought I heard it said this started with contact from a girl who was asking for help to attend school. It is wonderful to witness what the Almighty Creator God can do along with the blessings of Souls who walk the Earth. Did I hear that Mama Ann is to look for a wife for you Marwa ...
