Don Giller Jason's a wise man. As soon as Dave uttered the immortal "too much cop, not enough rock," I'd swear I watched that sequence when it aired. Glorious. (I watched Hull High, too. For Nancy Valen, as I recall.) Anyway. DL at his bee-in-a-bonnet best. And that's a pretty accurate précis of The Fanelli Boys, too.
the best song from "Cop Rock".. was "Lets be careful out there".... type it in and watch this 3 minute clip on TH-cam...IT ROCKS..!!.. YOU WILL NOT BE DSAPPOINTED!!...ALSO I might add the song "Quit your bitchin' ".. is pretty darned good as well that show truly was ahead of it's time... people just weren't ready for it.. sadly..

Dave's "special" suits - Magnets, marshmallows, sponge, etc. New Gift Items or bits that use lots of comedy props. Viewer Mail by year, or half or quarter year, depending on how long you want to make them. Dave alone or Dave with friends going to door to door. Dave alone or Dave with friends visiting businesses and their customers, and landmarks. Remote bits filmed in the early 90s with Dave and friends, that were dialogue free, with generic early 60s light music playing over them. Chris Elliott one shot characters, or rare 2 to 3 appearance only characters. Larry Bud characters. Max Headroom, Big Man, etc. Dave's desk stories about his weekend, his vacation, something that happened last night, or while driving home from work. Running gag prop features. Prancing fluids, air cannons, coffee tubes, sky through thrill cams, etc. Dave bombing. All of the times Dave bombed, and got really upset or sad/mad.
+New Fun Sandwich Not at all annoying -- don't give it a second thought. Lots of ideas. As I responded to someone in our facebook afl group who asked for a compilation of Brother Theodore appearances: One reason why I tackled the Chris Elliott and Kenny collections is that they were all among the shows I've already digitized, so Stage 1 of those projects was already complete. I'm not yet at that stage for a Brother Theodore collection. Or for your wish list. At least at this time. The "Cop Rock" collection applied as well, but I felt it worth the time this morning to put it together, as it was a specific concept and small enough to handle. Some of your items are pretty broad (desk stories, bits that use lots of comedy props, Dave bombing) that would, frankly, take quite a bit of time to prepare. And, again, the first priority is finishing the digital stage. And that will probably take another 18 months. I'll continue to put up stuff that I think is either unique or more complete on the You Tubes, or of better quality than has already been uploaded. There are more guest interviews and music performances that I think haven't been made available since forever. And I'm thinking of compilations of "Who Asked For It," "Brush With ____," "Stupid Pet Tricks," "Melman Production," "Busline," "Toast on a Stick," and "Mystery Dinner" bits, and "Ask Mr. Melman" (which would include your "Big Man" idea. So we'll get there.
Steven Bochco's own comment about "Cop Rock": "I'm proud of what we did, but I wouldn't care to do it again".
Dave said at first that ill-conceived Cop Rock was half hour musical. Later he implored his mother to watch the hour-long Cop Rock!
