Globe and Mail: This March, 1985.... Mulroney fired the entire board of Air Canada and replaced it with friends and Tory loyalists, including Frank Moores, leader of his campaign to dump Joe Clark.
Canadian politicians were involved with Air Canada and the mandates that would not allow some Canadians to fly. Most information has been removed from the internet.

@@AStri-zg5xc The carbon tax isn't all that costly. There are more than a few studies that show the carbon tax adds very little to the cost of anything. I'll let you do your own Google searches on that.
Otherwise, the carbon tax has a purpose in reducing carbon emissions. Which is a good thing.
And it's been inevitable for about the last 40 years when governments first introduced it.
And we can thank Alberta for being the first to introduce and pass a carbon tax in North America. Once British Columbia and Quebec followed, it was up to the Feds to introduce it.
And I'm sure your family once immigrated to Canada and were considered newcomers, and were probably hated by someone at the time. I wonder how they felt about that.

Yes he had an air of arrogance about him, but it paled in comparison to the unwordly arrogance of our current Prime Minister. Mulroney was also very intelligent, had a sense of dignity and integrity as a human being, and even though I disagreed with some of his policies and his one noted business conflict, I respected him as a person and for his efforts to do what he thought best for Canada and Canadians as our PM. Compare that to our current PM...who doesn't even know what the words "intelligence", "integrity", and "dignity" mean, let alone possess any of those traits himself...or have any ability or even intent to do what's best for Canada and Canadians.
