This show should be required viewing for all young people looking to get married. Be careful who you choose as a life partner. If you're a hard working and you've got your finances together, don't get involved with someone who's drowning in debt, or doesn't have any savings, or is just plain lazy. We know a man who is a husband and father. Both to blame! You don't take trips when you have bills, you don't shop. Doesn't matter how much money make if the spending doesn't stop. Like the organizer, all that wasted money.
Whats he talking about in the theatre ? "If i contribute more money i will become more frusterated "? And the comment how it takes time to go online and check the finances takes time in the day? Lol
My late husband was a brilliant professional musician. At first, it was more famine than feast. He had dozens of jobs in between. Playing at stadiums one week then any pick up work for weeks. Teaching, landscaping, driver etc. Within 10 years it was more stable. Often fully booked 2 years ahead. But we'd learned to live on an average basic annual income and save the rest. We'd no debt btw.
If he stayed home to take care of the house and the kids that's one thing. But come on! The way he depends on his wife isn't setting a good example for the kids.
This guy is doing it on purpose. He hates her and gas lights her constantly. He wont change.....he enjoys the pleasure he gets from seeing her cry and stress
So Gail said don't touch a jar and they emptied it anyway. Gail said it wasn't for them, but instead of going out to make more money to cover costs they took the money.
Jaime clearly knows his personality so he is the last person who could be self-employed. If Ingrid has free time, she too should consider a second job. They are both SO stubborn.
They were talking about her work on "Firestarter", remake of the old Stephen King book and movie. It's a tough job scouting locations for movies. Must be pretty stressful. They didn't discuss family so they might still be together.
He wanted a mommy to take care of him. So he went from living in his parents garage and then married her, who has continued to support him. He’s little more than a pretty face in my opinion. You’d think that handling the finances for a week would show him where his short comings are. What a waste of space of a man. I mean boy.
This show was in season 8. I really expected Gail giving the husband a Challenge of getting a part-time job before the four weeks was over. So many past episodes she has given such a challenge. To those wondering why he doesn't work much. It's because he's in the Toronto Electrical union. He's one of the many guys that gets laid off frequently.
Lol
If he puts in more money she will just spend it on stuff, is what I think he was trying to say. But he went on all of those trips, too!
Like to see an update on these couples.... how are there money habits 1, 3 and 5 years later for example?
Heck all my kids bday parties are $100 or less. Also Jamie needs to grow up and if not Ingrid needs to leave him.
As I told my daughter, these are the men you play with, not marry! Can he get gigs playing guitar?
I agree
Narcissist alert?
That poor woman married a child. He's lazy. And perfectly happy letting his wife support the family. Time for the ultimatum: get a job or get out.
I spend 700 euro monthly and i feel guilty, whene i heard they spent 6 k a month i though why are they even in the show they must be rich .
People only get away with what you let them.
The incentive is a roof over your head and food to eat. Making a happy home for your children.
You would think the lead singer for A-ha would have plenty of money.
Lol!!!
Ingrid looks tired. That's how I used to feel when I was doing it all.
What's his incentive?!?! IDK maybe living more comfortably? getting out of debt? being able to eat? the list goes on
Anyone else dislike how she said the word ‘idea’? “Idee-errrr!” Lol
Didn’t know ‘idea’ ended in an r.. LOL
I think it comes from the British influence because they will end words with an R if they actually end in a vowel when speaking quickly.
...it's ok...not all of us have the time/money/education to learn more about the world outside their little bubble...
Let me guess, are you American? Lol
So Gail said don't touch a jar and they emptied it anyway. Gail said it wasn't for them, but instead of going out to make more money to cover costs they took the money.
A new episode for me! Yay!!!!🎊
She needs to stop the spending and kick his sorry ass out
The incentive to put more money in is so your kids have food, Dippy!
He’s no man, he ain’t working & bringing home the dough.
Jaime clearly knows his personality so he is the last person who could be self-employed. If Ingrid has free time, she too should consider a second job. They are both SO stubborn.
It is so weird how much people travel and can't afford it!!! Stay home and pay your bills!!
I found Ingrid online. She has a decent resume as a location manager. No sign of Jamie though…..
Good for her
They were talking about her work on "Firestarter", remake of the old Stephen King book and movie. It's a tough job scouting locations for movies. Must be pretty stressful. They didn't discuss family so they might still be together.
Lots of men are happy to live as leeches. I finally divorced a couple of years ago. Cost me a fortune, and I’m so much happier.
He wanted a mommy to take care of him. So he went from living in his parents garage and then married her, who has continued to support him. He’s little more than a pretty face in my opinion. You’d think that handling the finances for a week would show him where his short comings are. What a waste of space of a man. I mean boy.
Love being single
Pretty boy who thinks he's all that.
Geez being a cougar doesn’t mean marry the guy. She’d be better off pinning his mittens back onto his coat and sending him home to mommy’s
That 30 sentence thing made me uncomfortable.
Maybe off camera she was pretty vocal and shutting him down? I can’t think of any other reason Gail would have done that.
Extrovert vs introvert. Her constant direction/taking prob feels like bullying to him. Just a chance to change the dynamic between them
Ya wanted a trophy husband ya gotta pay for one
This show was in season 8. I really expected Gail giving the husband a Challenge of getting a part-time job before the four weeks was over. So many past episodes she has given such a challenge. I wonder why she didn't. 🤔 i bet the wife was hoping Gail would do such because she couldn't get him to do it❗️
I wonder if some of these couples are still together?????
No lol.
He looks quite well kept
*sees title*
There's "can't" and there's "won't"
She does look like his mom not wife.she has alot in her life.and he still look young.
The problem when you marry and have children with a man child
No gift for them. Gail was disappointed and it's not all on Jaime.
He doesn't want to work.
I don't know why, but he reminds me of Richard ramirez? He kind of resembles him.
Yes yes yes spot on
To those wondering why he doesn't work much. It's because he's in the Toronto Electrical union. He's one of the many guys that gets laid off frequently. That said, many of those who get laid off find work elsewhere, and many brag about all the downtime they get.
Update on the couple. I'm fairly certain that they are no longer together.
He looks like her son. She has to act like his mother. Not a good dynamite.
Divorce him
He's holding out for management position.
This guy is a lazy. How about the fact that there are 2 little lives depending on you as incentive. What a jerk.
She might be happier if she lost some weight. I have a quick plan that could help her lose 170 lb overnight. 😂
😂 I think I've heard of that diet
This one was tough to watch how the Husband was behaving.
Deep six Daddy. He is a dud. Sorry.
He's a user.
