But can I use that for my theme of Wordpress? (For example for sass) Now I have webpack, but with Vite I have problems... maybe for the entry point in php? I don't know
With vite I have any problems... for example I don't know why i can't use @use but just @import... i would like to import directly a folder (@use 'namefolder') and I don't know why I can't do something like @import 'uno', 'due', 'tre'; but I have to repeat the word "@import" and specify the name of the file: "_buttons.scss" and not just "buttons"
I may be missing a point but how do i procress a js file before rendering the html page. In Webpack one has an html (ejs) file and a js file per page. So I am kind of lost here. I don't use frameworks and only vanilla javascript
@@syntaxfm blunt , I'm sick of all these overproduced lame so called channels frankly and if you can't handle the truth , then by all means call me rude if you think that will help. Also , I meant that veet is just git with curlicues, so at least learn how to think
@@edwardmacnab354 Is git pronounced "geet" without "curlicues"? I can take the crit, but like I said, if you are going to crit, at least be right and in this one, you aren't. No matter what you try to say after the fact, "essentially it's git" is straight up wrong. Seems like you just didn't like the vid and wanted to lash out, and that's cool too.
@@syntaxfm It's not you. All videos on you tube are overproduced, lengthy , verbose, and vacuous ! Also , I'm sick of the scrambled mess all the "so called" programmers have created with JS Frameworks . And I know git is not pronounced geet . When I finally get down to programming I will stick to Vanilla JS to get a firm basic grasp of javascript fundamentals , and maybe actually "git" to know what exactly is going on. Sorry if I got carried away .
Is it difficult to swap into an existing project? Thanks for the video!
How you pronounce it is very good (as a French speaker)
Yes. Vite is more "quick" (short moment) than "fast" (high speed), when translated.
Did you switch from Snowpack to this on LUT? I remember you did a video describing the build tools you used not long ago.
We rewrote the ui in Svelte Kit which uses ViteJS
The real question is, between fastify and vite, can you come up with a third product with the 'speed' theme for next week's 'What is?' video?
I can do that. www.fastly.com
That'd be an interesting Chrome extension to write - something that would find and pronounce those phonetic spellings.
LOL veet vite veit lol I had to chuckle the audio is a good idea
RE: pronunciation: They added a little audio bubble! : )

Vite vs Webpack, interesting?! 🤔Ok, you say it's fast: So... any demo?!

I'm curious how Vite can be used when building a Chrome extension? A dev server isn't needed when building a Chrome extension.

I'm fed up with webpack
Lets all just call it vite...
No!
more than a minute in and you're talking about pronunciation ? wtf--essentially it's git
It's pronounced "veet". If you're going to be rude, at least be right
