Not everyone has the same opportunities than you, not everyone live in a rich country, with rich parents and good audio schools who lead you into a studio. Look around you, you see all that equipment? Not everybody has that. Some people will never have that, even if they put the effort on it. People have lives, people have to pay the bills, people have spouses and children, people have jobs in other areas and just want to make some music as a hobby
What's your currency? Dollar? Euro? Did you know that not everybody live in a country with the same currency as yours? And I'm gonna say, these plug-ins are fucking expensive if you're not in US or EU
I'm not trying to justify theft, I'm just saying that YOUR reality it's not the same to everybody
Alex J: I'm sorry you have such a gloomy and negative mindset, but I would love to help. wardO even though I now live in USA, I'm originally from Venezuela where there was very limited access to most of this stuff and at RIDICULOUS prices I did NOT have access to. That being said what you see in my studio is the product of YEARS of effort and hard work, it didn't happen overnight. Please think things through if you're going to mindlessly place comments on here such as this one, making such a statement without knowing the story. To say that "Some people will never have that, even if they put the effort on it." is simply ABSURD because through hard work and effort anything is possible if your mind allows it. Everyone's story will be different but it's up to each one to deal of how that story evolves and unfolds, regardless of how it started. If you're situation is not ideal, what are you doing daily to change that? Believe me, things can align quickly if your help yourself get there.
I agree with Music Mastermind if you put the effort in you learn there are so many ways to get good plugins either on sale or use the stock Plugin in the Daw and also effort will get you somewhere. Ive met artist I follow and been in their studio so you see for your own eyes its possible. So many people say regarding Plugins ' You can afford them we cant so thats why we have to use cracked plugins " you dont need to have Nexus or Omnisphere to make a track. As soon as people say they " Have " to use cracked plugins " to me it shows a lack of understanding. You can rent to own Sylenth for 9 pounds a month until its paid off and you dont have to pay if you dont have the money and you get the updates etc. Or again there are other options for synths etc. If you pay for any of your plugins and software mentally you will think differently and you get the most out of it.

What DAW do you use?
Companies like Adobe know that everyone cracks Photoshop. Same with Autodesk and others like them. Their products are expensive, but they make all their money through licensing to businesses. A video game or movie studio will pay a ton of money to license their products for all of their employees, which offsets the piracy, which is going to exist regardless. Plus, they know that amateurs and hobbyists use their products to learn the skills, and then go on to become professional, where you have don't have much say in the matter. Music software is slightly different because most people don't write for a studio, but the people who make it big are probably going to be okay with spending cash for plugins or software. Adobe and Autodesk know that if they kill piracy, then they kill the industry. It's basically suicide with extra steps.
Basically, i'm a 16 yrs boy who lives in france, i'm not rich, my parents neither, I did have to wait for one year to get my Focusrite audio interface, so now, what i have ? Reaper, the stock plugins with Reaper, my audio interface and that's all, do you think me or my parents are gonna spend countless amount of money just for children because he loves audio production, and everything around the music ? the answer is no, they can't pay for me the SSL Suite or the API Suite from waves (they're my favourites plugins tho) so, I need to crack them to get my mixes to a next level.
I know cracking is very bad for everyone but, sometimes when you can't just imagine to download them legally, what do you want to do ?
Use the stock plugins ? I did it, and I still do it, but they're to limited for my use.

AJ: You can do a lot of damage with reaper. Learning how to properly use it can take months to a year. Use free trials of plugins that you're interested in and if you like it save up money. Go one by one, don't just go for the plugin bundle at first. For example I wanted to get autotune to learn how to get that effect, so I got the demo and I played with doing a lot of recording with it for a month, then I saved enough money to buy it and I started using it then. I think a lot of people focus on getting tools before they know what to do with them. I completely understand what you say, I was in the same position than you. The only thing I would suggest here is if you start making money with your work that comes out using the plugins then buy them, simple as that. Good luck with your productions!

Just make sure that when you do learn how to use it, buy the software so you can support the companies that hurt for your success. You don't have to be rich to buy plugins. But, if you're serious about your career, you'll want to invest in them since you can support from the company when upgrading or re-downlading. Again, listen to the video. You don't need a fancy huge list of plugins to find a kick*ss sound. All you need is to develop your listening skills and emulate good recordings as much as possible and learn what you can from people who know what they're doing. Hope this makes sense to you. AJ

Guys he's really right. I live in Germany and I installed cracked FABFILTER BUNDLE plugin a year ago from the pirate bay sites after 2 months I got an invoice from Steinberg Media Technologies GmbH. . I had to pay € 250 euros and also uninstall the pluging and if I hadn't done that I would be in prison now
. After that i Unistalled Fl Studio and all Plug-ins

Honestly, I don't get all the hate against this guy.
Of course, some of us aren't gonna be able to pay for expensive plugins like Nexus or Sylenth. I myself, a 15 year old student who lives in Asia, am not able to afford those. In fact, I am not able to afford anything but Ableton Live 10 Lite and the FL Studio Fruity Edition. I use mainly free plugins to do my music.
But do I complain about my situation? No. Do I ever wish I could use some of the more expensive plugins and DAWs? Sometimes. However, I have lines that I do not cross. I do not steal from other companies. They make a living for their work. They spend hours on developing their plugins, only to have heaps of people pirate them illegally in order to get them for free. It is as good as stealing.
So what do I do? I just make do with what limited resources I have. I started off by using Ableton Live Lite to make tracks. After a month, I was able to save up enough money to purchase FL Studio Fruity Edition, and I now use that. Sure, there are some limitations, such as not being able to record audio tracks, but it's what I have to work with. I do not complain about not having high-end plugins. I simply work with what I have. While I do that, I can actually develop better as a producer, as it challenges me to produce something of good quality, while having all these limitations. It is tough, yes, but we gotta remember that while some music producers start off with all the necessities, others start from rock bottom, but slowly climb their way to the top, with hard work and dedication. They save up every cent to purchase those expensive plugins that many here in the comments shamelessly steal from the internet.
Stealing is wrong, guys. If you want the resources, you gotta work for it. It may be hard but with enough dedication, it is definitely possible. Start by saving just a little bit of money every day. By the end of the year, you would have earned enough money to buy at least 1 plugin. That's what I did, and I am glad that I decided to take that step.
To @MusicMastermind , I just gotta say that I agree with you completely. Many in the industry work hard to get to where they are, and I highly respect you for speaking out on this issue. I am glad you did, as many people needed to hear this. Thank you.
AJ: I deeply appreciate your comment. I started like anyone. Without any fancy schmancy gear, from my home studio. A lot of people complain a lot and don't act on it. I did at least 30 songs with reason 2 and no other plugins when I started out. A rap group I produced ended up doing a national tour playing my silly beats to hundreds of people. People are just trying to find excuses to their mediocrity. I am all for those who are about the craft. To that extent, Write to @alexj or @musicmastermind.tv on insta via DM... The same people who say they can't afford anything are the same people who spend 10-100 dollars a month on snacks, game cosmetics, and fast food. They don't realize how much things can add up too by the end of the week, month or even years. I personally slowly purchasing and rent-to-owning plugins. It's really not that hard. This is coming from someone who doesn't work and has a phone bill and rent to own laptop bill and living off of the little money my roommate makes. It's literally not hard to save a couple bucks. Jeez some people need to grow up.

Additionally, you can find really good AAX plug-ins absolutely free, if you spend some time searching the web. Izotope has 4 free plug-ins at the moment. Vinyl, Imager, Doubler, and Nuetrino.
Acron, Voxengo, TBProAudio and TAL are all professional mfg.'s and offer lots of freebies. Not to mention the free bundle from MeldaProductions just to name a few. These are perfect for producers and mix engineers. Ozone is a mastering plug-in and should be used by mastering engineers. The rest of us don't NEED it. One last thing, another cool find is GoodHertz MidSide and Inear Display Regerssif. ...ALL FREE!!!

@@gledstons a lot of them are, is 50 not affordable, Omnisphere is expensive because it has a 16gb sound library, Serum isn't very expensive and Valhalla plugins are reasonable. Some however are unfairly priced. If you want my advice get LinPlug plugins as since they're out of business they can't stop you
