    Thanks for the ideas. I have an inversion table and pretty much just used it to invert. The idea of teetering, going back and forth, makes a whole lot of sense as far as helping the lymphatic system as well as other benefits. I'm definitely going to be trying this.

    Great video I lived with pain for so long and my doctor advised me I needed surgery , instead I started to invert now 12 years later I have no more pain I use my inversion table almost everyday and I don’t think I will ever live without it. And I don’t think I will ever have pain in my back again it’s that strong.

    Great tip, M! I have an inversion table and it has performed miracles on me. You are SO RIGHT about the 45 degrees, much better. Along with the inversion table, I started drinking plenty of water and stopped taking pain meds and ALL my back problems went away! (I had 3 surgeries before wising up) Spine carries energy from the sacrum to the pineal and pituitary. Keep it healthy!
    Thanks Markus!

    I just bought the itx9600 Innova inversion table, I really like it, when I was a kid I was walking on the roof of an abandoned 3 story building they had partially torn down, no stairs to keep kids like me out, I jumped onto another section and it caved in, I fell through the roof and landed about 15 ft down on the second floor on my butt, I laid there for about 5 hrs. crying most of time, it was getting dark and I wouldn't be able to get down in the dark so I crawled over to a window and slid down a pipe and limped home, my back goes out now and then, so far I feel better now only doing inversion once a day for 5 minutes, I'm working my way up, 3 times a day for 10 minutes. I'm 72 years old now, this is my answer, to my back problem, GREAT VIDEO, thanks William.

    Great video...Seems like a positive alternative to rebounding for those that have neck pain (where rebounding is too jarring). Chiropractor acquaintance recommended move slowly back to a mild 20-30° angle, hold for 15-30 seconds, then move slowly upright hold 15-30 seconds, repeat a few times, for lymph system. Also gentler for those that have vertigo.

    I have the same model, since late 1980s! Did I miss the part where you do forward bends and twists? I do that also and at 77 I am still able to place my hands flat on the floor in a standing forward bend. Upright, the table is also great for toe touching/extenstions/twists while bending forward because one can grasp the frame to increase range, all of which develops flexibility! This is the one piece of equipment I will never, ever give up.

  • @klf153
    @klf153 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I bought mine in 1985! Looks like the same model. People frequently express surprise at my age of 75, I think is b/c of how I move, which I attribute to "hanging" and stretching on the "rack" most days for decades. Truly effective and essential health preserver!

    I bought the original Hang Ups sometime in the early 90's and have been using it on a semi-regular basis ever since. It still works like new.
    If I ever tweak my back, I get on that thing first chance I get. It really does what no other device or exercise I've seen can do.
    Many friends have tried it, and they all say pretty much the same thing after trying it - "wow".

    I keep mine at the office and it is available for others to use (with a disclaimer, of course). About once a week I use it just to reset and align. Keeps me from practically going into "traction" once every 2 years! It is the only exercise equipment that I regularly use/own, other than a good old-fashioned bicycle.

  • @2112jonr
    @2112jonr 3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    Got to say from personal experience, you are spot on with this Markus, and for all the physiological reasons you've mentioned in the video. I've had back problems for years - work in IT, lots of driving in my job, so sitting is a problem. I had more serious back problems since 2010.
    Anti inflammatories I found should be used as a short term fix as it's acknowledged even by the makers that they mess up your stomach after 7 days (sometimes less). Short term pain fix, great, but it's not a long term solution. Surgery, no, for all the reasons you listed, plus the risk and the cost. Long term, one of these inversion tables and one to one yoga (with a yoga teach who knows physio too - important!) were the two best investments I've ever made for my back. I ordered one of these back in 2019, after being incapacitated (like - 2-3 visits to the toilet per day max, as I was in so much pain) for over a month. Eventually ended up in hospital.
    I thought anything was worth a try at that point, and boy did I wish I'd ordered one sooner. Best part: No drugs, feel great for hours or more every time I use it and after a month, I'd broken even on what it would have cost me in medicine for that time, but without messing up half the rest of my body too. If you've got back problems and a 3ft x 6ft empty space in your home, I can't recommend one of these enough. It keeps me out of hospital and pain free.
    Great tool, and really good advice, thank you for bringing it to the attention of everyone who follows you !

      This is what I needed to hear. My bulging disks (2) have healed through taking the bone pill and getting calcium in me daily. I still have a lower herniated disk that gives me fits.
      The hub and I are getting one of these this week. I can't wait to swing, twist and invert the herniated disk. This is God's answer to my back being healed I believe. I've also stopped sitting at the PC for hrs at a time. Now I get up hourly and try to get some movement going (usually housework...lol)

What can I say - my back feels very light after 25 years of tension and sometimes pain, after I damaged it in the gym when I was a teenager. And it's just fun. Now in the beginning I obviously feel how after 10-20 seconds blood comes to my face and I have to go back to the normal position, but I don't want to leave the table! :)

    Interesting, I may need to find that book. Spines are so vital so i'm glad you're addressing them, similar to stretching and compression, direction of compression is so important, our spines are curved but office jobs etc and activities that have you in extreme flexion for an extended period of time is a lovely way of pushing your nucleus out from the centre of your disc, which is a herniation, doing cat+dog is a nice even stretch on the spine which contains (reasonable, you shouldn't be forcing your back into excessive flexion OR extension) flexion and extension and doing stretches in the opposite direction as the position you're usually forced into (from sitting badly, slouching ,not that you should be doing this anyway!!, grappling sports etc) can help avoid herniation, which aren't usually caused by one off events, but continuous pressure. i don't have an inversion table, I could, however, do this on a pullup bar and hang from my feet perhaps?
