I got interested in the last part of the video where you have the scrips done but still need to make all the sizes. Is there a smart way of doing that without typing it in all by hand?

Good lecture indeed. Everything worked out great for me in designing the ladder cable tray. But I am lost at the end where you create a custom part. Your SO_Flange is shown in the Create Custom Part list. My script is loaded and produced all the necessary files and I have test-run it as well (all good). But the new component list shows only the name of my script and no image and neither can I insert it in my design. Please advise what to do.
You forgot to tell us what to do with the PNG files that were produced. Where do we place them?

Quinn, thank you for sharing this! This was very helpful and opened my eyes as to what is going on behind the scenes of Plant3D.
In the code that we created, what was the K value, and the **KW? Is there any way we can associate those somehow with the weight of the flange?

Thank you very much for the video.
It was very instructive and interesting.
    I have a question.
Is there any way to generate several components of the same family in a range of diameters?
For example, let's say you want to create a special elbow in a range of diameters from DN25 to DN300.
I tried declaring in the script a list and then a loop, but the PlantRegisterCustomScript command gave me a syntax error in the list.
Thank you very much in advance.

HI, great video, I'm trying to implement some new valves, supports to our database. It seems to work for me, Plant creates the 3D geometry, but is that normal that it creates always a folder [__pycache__] instead of file .pyc as per your video? Thanks

Great video, thank you for share. Please, create a video about to generate a pipe support. And, Did you have sometime the this error?? : "TypeError: activate()() take at least 1 argument (0 given)" that is showed in the register scrip procces: PLANTREGISTERSCRIPT in P3D. Some idea?

Can we create pipe support using this method?

    • @nobody3dart884
      @nobody3dart884 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

Yes sir, you just need to change the group category from Group="Flange" to Group=Support".
Also ofcourse you need to create different shape script for your support.😊

I have 2019 version, and this files TESTSCRIPT.PY (PYTHON FILE), TESTSCRIPT.PYC (COMPILED FILE), TESTSCRIPT.XML, VARIANTS.MAP AND VARIANTS.XML, IT DOESN EXIST, WHAT I CAN DO?

    audio is very low

Visually good video but audio very poor. You sound as if your head is covered with a pillowcase or covid mask. Furthermore, don't ramble with your speech. Nothing turns a viewer off faster than hearing "uumm, aaah, eerr". Also stop flitting from one part of your desktop to another. In essence, your video is NOT very useful to someone who has no experience with Plant 3D custumisation!!
Practice several times so the video rolls seamlessly.
Oh, an also get rid of most of the advert interruptions.

The video is for conveying information- not pleasing you. There is not another video on all of TH-cam that contains this much specific information on this topic. Did you think you were Roger Ebert or something?
