I watched you when I was 8 or nine and I’d always be inspired to do my moms pedis even though they probably were not that great but I thought I was doing so well now I’m 15 and watching you and inspired yet again
Yeah some people are like "you're going to do the pedicure on the bed?" but it's actually really nice and it's good for the therapist because they don't have to bend over as much. We were taught this way in beauty school :)
This one, depending on state of heels and cuticles can be between 45mins to 1 hr. A mini Pedi/Mani doesn't include a hand/foot massage, a standard mani/pedi includes a massage, a deluxe mani/pedi includes a massage & paraffin treatment.
You can never go wrong with Avon products! When I was a child, I used to use their bubble bath, which was terrific! I'm sure that Avon nail polish is quite good.
The therapist is sitting on a adjustable chair at the end of the bed. In salon we use salon supplier pedicure products however for this video for the general viewer I wanted to recommend something people can get access too. : )
It depends on how fast your toe nails grow (re. re-application of paint being needed) and the condition of your feet. If you have hard skin/calluses you'd need regular pedi's every 2-4 weeks but if it's just maintenance and a re-paint you can get away with up to 6 weeks easy
in 3:03 it was kind of scare, I was wandering if she will keep her foot, but my mom surprise me with a tool like this one and I loose all the scare off, and I use it, and let me tell you this is a good tool, now my boyfriend is soooo soooo scare of this tool :) LOL, best tutorial ever!!!
What an awesome job. At my salon I have my own kit (white box with my name and a lock on it) that I've purchased from them, it has toe separators filers and lotions that I've added to the kit. Like you said high end salons sterilize their tools but still I prefer my own personal tools. They keep them in a shelf and whenever I schedule an appt and I arrive it is already waiting for me with my specialist only her and I have a key to my box (in case I forget it) which I never do it is in my key chain. Anyhow just an idea I know it also helps the salon in saving lots of money especially when clients have their own tools after we are done we lock it up and put it back on the shelf with the rest. You'd be amazed how many white boxes are there when they first started this idea there weren't many now because of how many they have they've started an alphabet system ( pretty smart). Anyhow just a thought ohh the boxes pretty much belong to the regular clients.
Its' seriously better mixed with some sort of gel or cleanser (even shower gel) to create a lather, otherwise it doesn't really stay on the skin very well during exfoliation... but if that's all you got - go for gold ya know
I noticed her daughters nails were short to begin with so I think when she clipped them the first time thats the shape they had to be and all she could clip off...
You did an awesome job! Inspired me! Please continue with your videos and disregard all the negative comments from the negative people. So far I found your video to be the most informative and it's the only one I have ever subscribed too! Keep up the excellent work. Thank you for putting it up.
13:33 since I went to the salon, I didn't need a paper towel, they let me keep the proper ones! I am also buying as many nail polishes as I can off of Ebay! I am also getting some chairs and shelf units (shelf units to line up the nail varnish). I feel so ready, so prepared. I can't wait! Thanks for the tips. Rock on!
What a great result. Whenever I try to do anything with my cuticle it ends up looking like a hackjob because of the bits stuck on the nail bed. Thank you for these tips! Helps a lot :)
Easily, it's my own daughters feet and in NZ after inspecting the feet if there are no worts etc then we are not required to wear gloves, might be different in your country but this video is based on NZQA and CIBTAC standards
apart from buying one and the sea salt version I can only suggest a recipe I have on my channel to make emulsifying sugar scrub - it's under my beauty recipes playlist
You have to discontinue the treatment and recommend they visit a doctor or pharmacist or wear gloves through out the treatment, also cover the wort or verruca with a plaster, HOWEVER all tools would need to be sterilized and sanitized thoroughly.
No not over-stepping - cheers for the info, I love avon for at home : ) I thought using avon would be a good accessible product range for at home treatments so all good
Hi there, yes I have another video called callus peel, if you go to my main channel page and search under videos tab for the word callus you'll find it there, it's a very effective product and we use it in salon :)
Ahhh, hmmm polishes like Orly - from Farmers NZ, tools from a beauty supplier like globalbeauty or probeauty or beautycare (in NZ), cuticle sticks, pads, remover stuff like that at a pharmacy/drug store. If your not a beautician and you want the metal tools try online like ebay because some beauty suppliers sell via ebay too.
WOW!! What an amazing tutorial! U're great in explaining how to do a PROPER pedicure - which is ALL in the cutile work! as well in getting the scales off ur feet and heels (which I actually have very soft feet and soles). My cutiles on the other hand r a flying mess! That cutile cutter however looks quite scarry & l almost wonder if spending $40+ to buy everything & trying - w/ limited success - to do ur OWN pedicure is really worth it. Verses. paying $25 at salon for them to do it.
This video captured my attention from start to finish. Great job! Do your client's bring their own nail polish? I'm asking because of the thing with you using the tissue between the toes and how you didn't want to use other divices because it would have to be used on other people. The nail polish is being used on different clients as well. Is it by then the feet are considered clean and sanitized.
I feel awful for advertising on her tutorial but I saw a lot of comments about where to get the products and just wanted to throw it out there that I am a representative and you could go on my official Avon website and order from there and it will be delivered straight to you where ever you are in the US only I believe. Just reply for info and by the way great video and I hope I am not overstepping ☺
Vertical Ridges (from cuticle to fingernail tip) are really common and just need buffing out. Sometimes ridges in fingernails are representative of an inner health problem but these are normally horizontal lines across. I do have another video on nail health FAQ if you want to check that out too :)
I've been these at college.. as I'm doing ITEC Beauty Diploma level 2 .. How are you positioned in this (as the therapist) as you need to ensure your back is not strained..Great for recommending Avon, I might get this.. I've used paraffin wax in salon before.. but that cream looks more convenient. We never buff on our pedicures.. We use tissue, its more hygienic. :D
This is a great tutorial. Thank you for sharing. I have been looking in beauty supply stores for orange sticks with an exfoliation end like the ones you used, but I have not had any luck finding them. Can you tell me where you got yours?
haha yes she yes, this is my daughter being a model for me and she loves her dog honey, this video was made at home, I wouldn't let a dog into a spa or salon however.
You wouldn't have "limited success" it's not that hard to clean up your cuticles - plus the one off expense is better than repeat visits to a salon where you spend over and over again, I get it tho if people can't paint very well then yes it's worth going to a salon
That's cool! The Speed Dry polishes are great, but, I have a problem when I put a top coat on, for some reason, the polish smudges after I put it on...even if I wait for it to fully dry
scrubbing hard with the salts?? No I look at the skin and make sure that if it's starting to go pink (which is normall too as the blood is being stimulated in the area) then I stop. Exfoliation should be vigorous.
Definately worth watching. Till now I used to soak my feet in warm water first and then scrub it. Now I know the correct method. Thank you :)
I watched you when I was 8 or nine and I’d always be inspired to do my moms pedis even though they probably were not that great but I thought I was doing so well now I’m 15 and watching you and inspired yet again
Oww that's such a nice comment, I'm sure your mum loved them. Thank you and good luck with future pedis!
Yeah some people are like "you're going to do the pedicure on the bed?" but it's actually really nice and it's good for the therapist because they don't have to bend over as much. We were taught this way in beauty school :)
One of the best instructional videos I've seen on TH-cam! Very detailed. Thanks!
+jhevmc Thanks!
!!! Always wanted pedis/manis done weekly but it's so expensive. I decided to do the obvious LOL and invest in some at home stuff!
This one, depending on state of heels and cuticles can be between 45mins to 1 hr. A mini Pedi/Mani doesn't include a hand/foot massage, a standard mani/pedi includes a massage, a deluxe mani/pedi includes a massage & paraffin treatment.
Home spa days rule! Your channel is out of this world. LOL!
You can never go wrong with Avon products! When I was a child, I used to use their bubble bath, which was terrific! I'm sure that Avon nail polish is quite good.
Cool! I wanted to use AVON so that the products were something anybody from home could get and not salon exclusive :)
Thanks, yes we are finishing up building a salon and will be filming within the new premises, so therefore choosing a new facial range right now.
The therapist is sitting on a adjustable chair at the end of the bed. In salon we use salon supplier pedicure products however for this video for the general viewer I wanted to recommend something people can get access too. : )

Your welcome, I really wanted to show how you could do it at home so this comment makes me happy :)

What salon do you go to? That's such a great idea!
First time to your channel. I loved the way you were so thorough and the final result was beautiful.
Thank you! :)
Its' seriously better mixed with some sort of gel or cleanser (even shower gel) to create a lather, otherwise it doesn't really stay on the skin very well during exfoliation... but if that's all you got - go for gold ya know
Before you applied the nail polish, you should have trimmed the nails and give them a nice shape and clean the dirt from underneath.
seriouslu the big toe looked jagged
I noticed her daughters nails were short to begin with so I think when she clipped them the first time thats the shape they had to be and all she could clip off...
We recently moved to OPI expert touch lacquer remover because it is not meant to be as harsh on the nails and cuticles
Thank you! :) Our clients don't bring their own nail polish no, the feet are considered clean and sanitized before applying nail polish yes.
You did an awesome job! Inspired me! Please continue with your videos and disregard all the negative comments from the negative people. So far I found your video to be the most informative and it's the only one I have ever subscribed too! Keep up the excellent work. Thank you for putting it up.

Soak for longer, soften soften soften :)
Totally no problem, I used AVON because I didn't want to use salon only products as then the viewers are like "but I can't get that"...
I found them - they are a QVS brand, if you google QVS and cuticle stick and hit images you will find them. I also found them on alixpressdotcom
Hi there, the plastic bowl is from Mitre10 in NZ
Easily, it's my own daughters feet and in NZ after inspecting the feet if there are no worts etc then we are not required to wear gloves, might be different in your country but this video is based on NZQA and CIBTAC standards

You have to discontinue the treatment and recommend they visit a doctor or pharmacist or wear gloves through out the treatment, also cover the wort or verruca with a plaster, HOWEVER all tools would need to be sterilized and sanitized thoroughly.

OPI rapidry spritz should be sold at any old store that sells OPI lacquers or a drugstore
I can't remember - I need to check at the salon - will do and let you know

Vertical Ridges (from cuticle to fingernail tip) are really common and just need buffing out. Sometimes ridges in fingernails are representative of an inner health problem but these are normally horizontal lines across. I do have another video on nail health FAQ if you want to check that out too :)
Purple with a Purpose : )
Hello I like the tube you use for soaking the feet. Where can I find one similar to yours?
Thanks
Thank you that was great! How long does this usually take?
I've been these at college.. as I'm doing ITEC Beauty Diploma level 2 .. How are you positioned in this (as the therapist) as you need to ensure your back is not strained..Great for recommending Avon, I might get this.. I've used paraffin wax in salon before.. but that cream looks more convenient. We never buff on our pedicures.. We use tissue, its more hygienic. :D
Your welcome : )
I love the AVON products, I have many nail polishes and perfumes form them
what color did you use on her nails (i want to buy it. it looks very pretty)
This is a great tutorial. Thank you for sharing. I have been looking in beauty supply stores for orange sticks with an exfoliation end like the ones you used, but I have not had any luck finding them. Can you tell me where you got yours?
this was so helpful where do you buy all your products ?
No it's not more painful, it's callused dead skin - it doesn't feel anything. No sorry I don't make an at home remedy as this product is just AMAZING
haha yes she yes, this is my daughter being a model for me and she loves her dog honey, this video was made at home, I wouldn't let a dog into a spa or salon however.
Thanks!
Hi! Great video! Where did you get your pedicure bowl from? I'm trying to find one like yours that's a bit bigger.
You wouldn't have "limited success" it's not that hard to clean up your cuticles - plus the one off expense is better than repeat visits to a salon where you spend over and over again, I get it tho if people can't paint very well then yes it's worth going to a salon

Great great job! Done very professionally! Thank you

Wow you did an amazing job!!!

First time i ve seen your video . Love it ..
That's really amazing.
Fantastic video.
@GalaxyDreaming
What do you think of the Microplane foot file? Do you think it's too harsh?
it's okay, I prefer the grit type of pedi paddles though :)
What is the Name of the Client?
I love this pedicure¡ thank you
