No, surprisingly you don't. The structure is more balanced, with a latch and a more forward element. If you open the shoulder with a cupped hand then I would agree.
Thanks for the feedback, I'm glad it worked for you. I can't take credit for this, my training partner (who I struggle to get on video) has trained catch-as-catch can wrestling and studied some of the old farmer Burns stuff too, he uses this regularly and has done so for many years with great success. What I like about it is you can hold a passive control much easier than the standard neck ties.
Thanks for the question. Putting any neck clinch on when upright should follow the foot position and feel really natural; reaching is bad. Stepping to the glass (mentioned in the video) usually means that close contact has been initiated, so, sinking the weight a little and for a taller person getting the hips as low as possible is important for the grapple. This means that often even if you are smaller, you can take the neck as the taller person attempts to lower their centre of gravity. If they are standing tall, and there is a significant difference in height, the neck clinch might not be viable, so maybe a steering wheel control would be better. It is important to not reach or over-stretch, if the position is unnatural, do something else.
Very nice
Thank you
Great stuff Cherrs from USA
Cheers!
Great stuff! Keep it coming!
Thanks again, we will do our best.
Do you worship baphomet?
No, it's a Chimera
if you open the elbow for against the shoulder, you lose structure, you are less compact, and less control on the head

Tried this out today. Wow it works really well! Thanks for sharing. May I know how did you come across this move?
