The honeybee is my favorite header to watch bc it really does float like a bee. And, yes, all the farmers that run them love them. Let us know at the end of the season what you think.
Great commentary Bob, thanks for filming! BJ 's getting a bit surly with the guest cameraman, Booshel Billy. Sorry there aren't more bushels for the Fendt to eat. Can you spell DUSTY? Hope you film the Leg fix, entertainment!😉
My dad was a micro manager of the Highest Degree, couldn’t be pleased. I left the farm and hadn’t talked to him in 34 years. I found out he died this year, from a distant cousin on facebook. I have a hard time watching some of these family farming shows.
Sorry to hear that. I have been lucky enough to have a great relationship and working relationship with my dad. Been working right beside him for 20 plus years at this point
I think I liked the Claas combine better than the fent . I remember Mike Mitchell had a lot of problems witth their fleet of fendt ideal's . I remember the Claas you demoed it was nice .
Had a 90ft hervestore silo we used for silage and had to close the lid on it one day before the storm got there. When I got to the top I noticed a wasp nest like yours absolutely swarming with wasps. I probably froze at the top of the ladder for 30 minutes trying to get the courage up knowing if they attacked I could not panic because it was going to be a not so fun ride back down.
The best time to spray a bee or wasp 🐝 nest is when it is dark either just after sunset to just before sunrise now with that being said if you take a can of wasp spray and I prefer the spray that stays liquid instead of the kind that turns into foam they will both work but the liquid one works better on the nest and ok on any flying around I guess if you spray at night when they are all in the nest the foam might work really well and the cans of spray will shoot 30-35’ in the air so unless it’s pretty windy I can reach the the peak of the roof on a two story house without having to be on a ladder and if you spray it while they are active in daylight it will kill the nest and the eggs and the ones that are out of the nest will just fly around for a little bit and then they will go try and either start a new nest or hookup with another one and if any do come back like just before dark if they do go in the nest they will die. as far as the ones flying around outside or inside like in the shop while you are working on something just grab a spray can of brake cleaner and spray it on them and they will fall out of the air instantly I have read somewhere that it freezes their wings and like a airplane that gets ice on the wings it disrupts the airflow over the wings and it loses lift and then falls out of the sky if it doesn’t have the inflatable bladders inside the leading edge and it fills with air and expands and stretches the leading edge and the ice can’t expand that quickly and breaks up and falls off
If those are "paper wasps" (local term, large black and yellow) they can be vicious. I got surprised by a nest of those and had several stings that hurt like hell and took almost a year to heal. Take a few cans of wasp spray when you go up, wear leather gloves, goggles, mask and a hooded sweatshirt and soak them and and the nest. Hope you get your leg figured out, those problems can be difficult to fix.
Just so you know you're power ladder saying is stuck in my mind. Went to the store for a power strip but it comes out as POWER strip. My wife thinks I'm losing it.
The other day you posted a video talking about you know looking fast running through the corn at 5 6 mph And right afterwards I switched over to a video by the welkers and they were running 11 push 12 like they knew and had to show off. But I will say it looked scary fast
I think I'd rather take that heavy top door on a Lexion feeder house to slip in a 5/8th socket to put the feeder house chain back on, fortunately both our current Lexions haven't done that, but the 570r we had loved to do it
To get your feeder chain back to straight take a 4x1/2 inch bolt stick it on the top sprocket and turn the feeder house chain backwards and it should jump a cog and you are back straight
I'm unsure what I think of this combine. Interesting to see how it's performing. Do you feel vulnerable in the event of one machine failing losing you 100% of you combine capacity? Thank you Brian.
Way to go Bob,off the top rope for a good zinger on Brian. "comment" go ahead and get hurt it will make good TH-cam video content. Lol. Good luck guys on a good and safe harvest.❤
Sure hope the bean yield gets better. I was looking at the drought monitor this morning. I believe it showed your neighborhood as the worst it could be. Understand the negitivity. Be safe this harvest. By the way that was good U Tube footage under the feeder house.
Wasps are never fun. And when you are up on a ladder or in a cage, you sometimes just have to take the stings. I got a dozen once, I was at the top of a 65' silo, no safety cage around the ladder, and the 🤬 wasps must have known that I was out of options. Was sore for 3 days, but my next climb I was ready with the Hotshot spray, and a good rope to tie off on the ladder while I hosed them down. Never went up again without the spray.
Good show Brian! Bob's hilarious! Does the stuff sitting on the feeder house throat just behind the header have beans in it? Do you just dump it off the side or back into the header to put through the combine?
Thanks for your video today Brian and BJ and DAD. It was most certainly interesting I must say that. Well, your day was not the best I guess. Lots of issues to deal with. First the combine feeder house chain. Did not know you had an issue there until your dad mentioned it. Getting that darn cover off took more time than adjusting the chain itself. What a challenge that was. I am a little disappointed in this Fendt. Seems you have had more than your share of adjustments too do. Wow. Slows of production it seems to me. Your opinion please!!!!!!!!!!! Second your grain leg. Didn’t they check it after supposedly fixing it???? Feel bad for you that it is not working right now. Hopefully they can get to you soon and figure out what is right or wrong with that grain leg. Pretty frustrating and it is not even mine, so I know how you must feel. Hopefully they get to you soon so you can unload beans. Wow, what a day you have had. Sorry for the day you all have had. Hopefully things can get fixed and going for you all again. Thanks for everything. Hoping tomorrow is better. The Iowa farm boy. Steve. 🇺🇸🇺🇸 Enjoy your game tonight!!!!
That was hilarious hearing Bob say it ain't that heavy, it ll make good youtube content!! I lost it😂
Me too!
Yeah! Not his legs it was going to fall on.
That stuff happens to me when I don't have my camera LOL
I laughed way too much at that 🤣😂🤣
😂I love Bob! He talks exactly like my grandfather too. Makes me miss him.
Thank you, Brian for your videos wish you could have a better harvest stay safe
I do love your dad...he reminds me ALOT of my grandfather.....miss that man....but Bob is the man yall just need to keep up with him....
Bob is awesome I am glad he does you tube! You guy have the best dad..
Your dad's not worried about your legs he's more worried about us getting good contact.
Thanks to everyone involved in this video for sharing with us
Love youall!!! It's definitely dry!!! Even here in Switzerland Of Ohio..! N we by the river.. God Bless Youall .
Great video Brian. Thank you very much
The honeybee is my favorite header to watch bc it really does float like a bee. And, yes, all the farmers that run them love them. Let us know at the end of the season what you think.
😂 ya gotta love “Bob speak”.
Absolutely loved your dad's comment on plate hitting you making great you tube content😂😂😂😂
Thanks for the video.
Having been to your farm several times. Bob is awesome.
What’s your name?
I enjoy all of your videos.
Bob for president
Great video I think all dads give them kind of hand signals when around equipment and get pissed when you go wrong way lol
Great commentary Bob, thanks for filming! BJ 's getting a bit surly with the guest cameraman, Booshel Billy. Sorry there aren't more bushels for the Fendt to eat. Can you spell DUSTY? Hope you film the Leg fix, entertainment!😉
This video is the first time you showed just how much you are like your dad you are.
Bob's comment, had me ROFLOL I had to pause the video to catch my breath
A poly insert might be a good winter project from the looks of feeder house pan.
Big Bob going for the one liner prize!

Can’t wait to see how the honeybee does for you this year!!! Great video as always
that is called elder abuse Brian, messing with your dad with hand signals

The promise of better days through better ways. 👍
Awesome video. Once you get the grain leg adjusted you should have excellent results. Stay safe.
Need more BJ talking about the Bengals content... :)
Great video as always
Appreciate that

welkers was doing wheat with a demo case/international,putting it thru its paces and showing what can do
In a 40 bushel crop nothing there to harvest@@bandit5853

Hahahahahaha, dad knows what the viewers want to see!😂😂😂

Dad won’t approve that, unless he thought of it.
This right here! Don’t need to make it that hard on yourself!
Last year we didn't even fill tandem semi trailer in a day. Lots of less than 10bu beans, in fact lots of times it was zero through the field
Your dad is awesome dude
you might get in touch with Ivers farm over at southern illinios about feeder house blow off they put on their case combines - may help
"Itl make good TH-cam content" brian 😂
Thanks for sharing the good with the bad.
I'm unsure what I think of this combine. Interesting to see how it's performing. Do you feel vulnerable in the event of one machine failing losing you 100% of you combine capacity?
Thank you Brian.
Crops like you guys got I don't know what keeps you from starting the morning out with an 18 pack of Busch Light
Should have kept the Gleaner or bought a Deere, ha ha

Ohio has declared a state of emergency for our area because of the drought.
Man that’s a dirty thankless job working under the feeder house. Also my sympathy to BJ as l watched the Bengals last night on Monday night football!
Stay safe, succes
Good job guys and good luck
Hate to see the yield so low, 35 “booshel😂” beans just stinks. Hopefully yields will improve drastically for y’all. Take care Brown family 🇺🇸
Great video good to see y'all
Need a "Big Ass Fan' on front of combine to blow dust away!

Ain’t nothing to it but to do it
I hauled some beans today that were run yesterday 9-22 that were 8.8 moisture and dirty
thank you
Bob, don't you remember when 35 bu/acre was average? 1970's, and 15 bushel double crop?
Lot bean farmer would love 35 bushel's per acre some not getting 18 per acre
Hello from Siesta Key Florida
U guys spend alot of time figuring out all the new equipment lol.
I just got more respect for you than millinial useing real tools Milwaukee that dewalt guy dont know what hes missing
Dumb question other then it being tough to cut why don't you combine beans at night to add moisture?
Hard to see from all the dust but it is doable
Roll a 3/8 ratchet handle through the sprocket that’s behind on the feed chain. It’ll jump ahead.
Maybe should have got a class combined 🤔 wouldn't have as many problems 🤔 yep
Well you should’ve kept gleaner
Hope your fall harvest gets better
i sure hope the feeder house isnt the achilles heel of that Fendt
All the belts and pulleys is different
Did the air reel keep the dust away better when you ran gleaner?
What kind of watch do you wear
It's a wrist watch😂
Garmin fenix 6
lol Bob says it will make good TH-cam content
We do 200 acres a day regularly with an S780 and a 35 foot header.
Unfortunately with the size fields we have there are only a few places we could do that. Most of the time we’d be moving a lot
Grandpa is worse that Ticktok challengers....
great video
Thanks!
Damn, yall can't catch a break.
Bob without a hat????
Just trying to understand how they put in a new grain leg and not test it before you start harvesting! Seems kinda ass backwards!!!
Didn’t put in a new leg they were had some service work done on it. We didn’t have any grain to test it with
Thanks for your video today Brian and BJ and DAD.

Hopefully things can get fixed and going for you all again.
Thanks for everything. Hoping tomorrow is better.

🇺🇸🇺🇸
Enjoy your game tonight!!!!
Finally found a browser from which I can post a comment ....
What's the forecast on the double beans ?
35bpa might be the average in Ohio for 2024.
Hi
Do you miss your air reel
Like watching Mike Mitch’s problems all over again 🙈
Seems like we ran all day after fixing a minor issue. I remember Mike being down days and using a loaner combine
You need one of those John Deere combines where you adjust everything from the cab lol 😂
At 1.5 million dollars also.
If you want any sort of harvest command . Claas is the way to go. Best on the market 👌
been there hate when shit does not work right
Ask BJ what happened to his buccaneers
BJ has season tickets for the Cincinnati Bengals not the Tampa Bay Bucks
I hope the poor service tech didn’t get eaten up by the wasp . The top of a leg sure wouldn’t be my choice to do battle with them.
Mornin
Hello my friend
dang…..having a day like ive been having
Tough time at Brown Farm this episode…hope things get better! Appreciate the videos y’all put out!
WHAT... did "dad" say???
BJ's depressed after MNF.

It'll make good tube content
Send your drone up to the wasps
Got a nice shop and working in the dirt 😂that’s a farmer for you
