I live in Holland, Michigan and I definitely recommend swimming in Lake Michigan while you are here. I think Brooklyn would be able to swim in there as well? It's like the ocean but like so much less dangerous haha! Holland has some good places to eat but I don't know where you guys are planning on stopping by.

the minute you guys mentioned Niagara falls left me so emotional because it was the very last trip my mom and I did before she passed from breast cancer... we're going back in august with our entire family and leaving a memorial behind at the state park by the falls. her favorite place in the whole world. Glad you guys are doing this!! (ALSO IF YOU'RE IN OHIO AND IN THE YOUNGSTOWN AREA...... handles ice cream!!!! worth it!)
