If you want the animations to work you have to line up the base of the Sprite to where the bottom is once you line the bottoms up you will end up with better looking animations I say this because I'm an animator myself

Personally i dont like version 2 because it takes away the simple aspect of sprunki and it does waay to much in the animation plus it just speeds it up for nothing honestly its a downgrade not to mention it kinda just discarded the lore completely
