vlog 66. 72HRS IN MY LIFE AS A LAWYER: Drafting Legal opinions, Talks at the Bar, Admin & Cooking

Timestamp for the Legal Opinion Drafting Process: 12:30.
Essentially, two and a half days of month-end admin and dealing with the financial aspects of practice management. I also attended a very informative session for young members of the Bar on tax and managing your practice's taxes etc.
Everyone always says advocates are not really good with numbers, and there is no time where that becomes more apparent to me than when I have to manage the financial aspects of my young legal practice, LOL!
So that is why (in part) I was cooking up a storm during these few days, I recall telling you guys how cooking relaxes me and gets my mind off of stressful things.
In the end, as I always do, I managed to send all my invoices, made the dreaded follow ups on unpaid invoices and reflected on my targets and the financial performance and wellbeing of my practice over the last 6 or so months, and then treated myself to what I felt was a well-deserved manicure!
