Also, exposure in ads for athletic shoes, sport drinks and both sport and high fashion clothes gives the current young players another edge. I think they have ushered in a new era.

Three players voicing an opinion in the W is the equivalent of twelve in the NBA doing the same which adds to the importance of having a unified PR message and involvement in the community. CC is not just an immense talent on the court, but she absolutely loves the marketing aspect. She also loves to be engaged with the community and impact people's lives in a positive manner. CC also only keeps people in her circle that have a positive impact on her and the world. The logo 3's are jaw dropping. Her grasp on everything off the court is what makes people of all walks want to see her succeed. And Indiana is probably the best place for her to carry her entire skillset to the W. As an aside, did you notice how so many teams in the women's tournament unified their messaging after the LA Times and WaPo articles about LSU? A lot of people in women's sports recognize the opportunity in this moment. Cheers and good luck with the channel.
Thank man! I think Caitlin is going to kill it on and off the court. The logo 3’s are something, but I honestly think it’s the worst part of her game, she just doesn’t hit them at a high enough percentage and often is a possession killer. Wildly underrated as a facilitator, get teammates easy buckets and take good 3 pt attempts and she will average a double double every game.
@@RobEldertonOne of the reasons she's a good facilitator is due to her logo 3's. Shooting at around 40% (and that increases as she goes farther out) , the defense can't ignore her once she crosses half court. That opens up team mates for easier shots. Not to mention that those shots are what draw people in to watch. I'd say her biggest weakness is related to the 3's, but it's clock management. If you listen to coach Bluder, that's generally her complaint about the logo shots.
It's really funny CC hasn't won no chip in college, but olja is the goat right now in wnba and espn doesn't talk to her weekly...racism is a real thing 😮😮😮😮
People like you probably give excuses for LeBron and Durant getting swept on superteams, but you expect CC to win a championship with a team with no 5-star recruits against teams with multiple 5-star recruits.
The most important game of 2023 was the defeat of South Carolina at the hands of Iowa led by Caitlin Clark. SC was undefeated and was the defending back-to-back champions. Had SC won, LSU would be an easy team to beat by SC. Caitlin Clark won the '23 James E Sullivan award for a second time, becoming the only Collegiate athlete in the awards 94-yr history as a repeat winner. CC may win a third time for 2024. The award is an individual award, not a team award where all team members, including benchwarmers, are given championship rings as in basketball.

Most of the talking heads on major sports reporting have set some reasonable expectations. Most have said they expect her to get rookie of the year, expect the Fever to make the playoffs. There's debate about if she can win player of the year, which isn't unreasonable either. I've not heard anyone claim the Fever will win the championship. But this is the type of marketing the W needs. That type of exposure is what will drive people to watch; either to watch her succeed or to watch her fail. I'd argue that one of the best draft selections was Vegas with Kate Martin. She's a good player, but has the media exposure that none of their players have. There's upwards of 24 million people who watched her play. If she could draw even 5% of that to watch, that's an additional 1.2 million viewers. And I'm sure it'll be a big marketing push, "Watch Caitlin and her best friend duke it out"
