Also sometime people use it because it have a discount like 50$ coupon but you pay 45$, or you are an employee of said establishment and you can buy the gift card on discount.
We'd get 'Boots' vouchers as kids from relatives. We never bought anything in there and dad swapped them for cash. Worse still I've had vouchers expire when the cash wouldn't have. Pointless.
