3ds max is not worth the money - I was stupid enough to have wasted literally thousands upon thousands of pounds using their software - it's slow as hell, a lot of the key shortcuts don't even work and there is no live render. This day and age - 3ds max is really not worth the money they ask.
I´m stuck at 21:45, I can´t make the wheel because when I press E and scale it down, it doesn´t look like a wheel and I followed the video step by step and I am press E and then S, but it lacks the "outer" sides and it looks like a cable wheel. @@MeNoOther no this was a low poly car and the workflow of modelling a higher poly car is different. I started with this tutorial to model a high poly model but failed I have modelled a high poly model of a car with a different work flow

Wonderfull build, learned me a lot even on whiskey. I was stuck with beziers etc, this makes my life easier for those edgy spacecraft look to my designs for 3d printing!
First model done😃. I'm a complete beginner. It took me a total 5 days of ~4 hrs a day. The shortcuts initially threw me off I had to supplement with Blender Fundamentals series. On to the next model

@CG Geek, at 16:36 , you can press "I", then "B" to turn off the bounds, instead of extruding and scaling. If you disable bounds, then the extra face won't be there . BTW, I'm happy that someone made something out of the default cube 😜😜😜.
Very great tutorial, can you make a tutorial where you start with a plane, and making the roof? I found that the plane technique really helps to make super cars or hyper cars. Your tutorial however is great for beginners. Keep it up!

Man, this shows just how [relatively] easy and quickly this kind of stuff can be done when you actually know what you are doing with this kind of software. That car would take me weeks to figure out and make on my own, and it still wouldn't look as good as this. :-o

I know the basics of 3ds Max and decided to give blender a shot because of the 2.80 update. I will probably never open up 3ds Max again.

1. Make low poly car
2. Bevel the edges

16:30 even when I do extrude and scale it still adds that extra face and doesn't scale into the middle like yours did

I have the same problem. It effects any extrusion along the mirror axis and leaves vertices causing a protruding line. I always have this problem
FIX: Instead of using Extrude and Scale, press "I" (for Inset) then "B" to change the inset mode, it's gonna work!!!
