Amazing, layers and layers. I'm struggling learning the basics of Triste, and you're dancing around it.
A great song. I have been practicing on this song for years, and I'm nowhere even close to getting this to sound good. But...…………...that is the great thing about guitar. Always another song to work on. And then we get a bit better. Yeah, this guy makes it look easy. I will steal as much as I can from this video. { and then we get a bit better ……}
Jobim sings with his voice. Peter's voice is coming from his hands. He literally sings with his instrument. I found this video yesterday. I've played it probably twenty times already! I know the basic chord structure for Triste, but he dances around that like a child on a playground. Bossa is all about feeling the music. I can hear your voice as you play Peter! My next lesson is in two days. I intend to play this video for my teacher. I have a feeling my fingers are going to be sore again tonight. Time to go practice. Anyway, thank you for this inspiring piece of music. It really is lovely. muito bonito!

Most interesting ideas explored lyrically and never too far "out there" where many players with less judicious ears than Peter might dare to take it while staying faithful to the meaning and feel of the original. Great sense of time, with perfect meter throughout. Enjoyable and thoroughly admirable. Great work!
