He was also insecure about his looks, which culminated in him taking on a really really dangerous diet during Blood Sweat and Tears era. But he's a lot more comfortable with himself now, you can look at the Be countdown interview he did with V where he talks briefly about advising others to just let time take its course.
It’s literally so heartbreaking knowing that. The thing is he was probably still growing up then so his image was inevitably going to change anyway, in fact we are continuously changing over time, nothing is really set in stone. I’m sure many can agree that there was nothing wrong with his looks then anyway (or this applies to anyone, there is no definitive ‘attractive’ or ‘unattractive’ . Its really based on opinion, so why are we so concerned about looks in society :( ?) . I wish he wasn’t so hard on himself then, but yet again like you said I’m happy that he’s content with himself now and that he slowly learnt to love himself.
This happened to me, and to all my family, I guess. Me and all my brothers and sisters went through a fase between 12 and 16 were you get really fat, just to grow taller later, But my family always told me that I had to loose weight and after that I got a really insecure about eating. Then I discovered I had Hypothyroidism, which tends to make you gain weight. And thinking I've been blaming myself all those years, trying to be normal, like all my classmates. I wish my parents would have support me better then.
I think jimin gets emotional in the beginning... May be he remembered their struggle of those days.... Jiminah... we respect all of your struggle... we love you all forever...

*I was a fan since their debut, i can tell you this* : I was definitely amazed that they could go from powerful tough guys on stage to nice sweet boys off stage, like how suga wrote over 300+ handwritten notes each Different to Army on his Own Birthday, he even bought them candy when he couldn't even afford to feed himself... I really got to see just how much they were pushing themselves on stage and how tired they were sleeping in waiting rooms till their next performances. I was so sad that such hard working tired boys who got cut from broadcasts and barely got opportunities to promote themselves, were getting over looked, i would read their Lyrics that they themselves wrote that would help me ...and get sad because not many people would get to get help through their songs, more people needed to hear them...for 2 years they weren't winning on music programs with their new albums/comebacks , which was crucial for them not to disband, i would cry with them because they just kept saying "we will work hard to bring you even better music"..all they did was work hard.they just needed more people to see their message. To be honest I've always been proud of them in every step of the way, I'm happy I found them when we needed each other, and I'm happy they found themselves and never let people get them down, I'm proud of the journey we went down and finally got more fans and people around the world to hear their message ☺️💜💜 now they don't have to work as hard.. but with their personalities You know they'll keep pushing themselves to be better, that's just who the Bangtan Boys are..

From then on i found a channel that english subbed their Bangtan bombs/vlogs, & was the first group I had a personal connection to (still to this day) and also every comeback i got so excited , their comeback Trailers had a really cool animations i got hyped everytime wondering what will surprise me next!
it's 2024 and I'm watching this again. People might continue to drag them down but these video speaks for itself that there success is always organic and crafted by their own hard work combined with dedicated fans - ARMY.

They still fooling around when they gather behind media camera (bangtan noona camera doent include) yet they more calm now. For god sake they are twenties now. They grown up as a man. Aww debut Bangtan were so adorable and precious. It was their "bad boy" aesthetic era but once they were off-stage you could see that they were a bunch of kind kids at heart. They were lovely at each stage of their careers.

It hurts me so much. They have struggled and went through so much all over years. We don't even know how much of pain and grief we don't even know about. I'm just glad they are happy now, they deserve every bit of success and happiness they have now if not more. Army we'll always stand by their side. We are bulletproof eternally together.

Just hearing that makes me really sad... you have to "stand out" a lot at first these days to get a foothold in most businesses. People should focus less on abs and muscles and more on the lyrics, the song's meaning, the dedication of both the performers and the producers. I wish that people didn't have to starve anymore, in any kind of situation.

*I was a fan since their debut, i can tell you this* : I was definitely amazed that they could go from powerful tough guys on stage to nice sweet boys off stage, like how suga wrote over 300+ handwritten notes each Different to Army on his Own Birthday, he even bought them candy when he couldn't even afford to feed himself... I really got to see just how much they were pushing themselves on stage and how tired they were sleeping in waiting rooms till their next performances. I was so sad that such hard working tired boys who got cut from broadcasts and barely got opportunities to promote themselves, were getting over looked, i would read their Lyrics that they themselves wrote that would help me ...and get sad because not many people would get to get help through their songs, more people needed to hear them...for 2 years they weren't winning on music programs with their new albums/comebacks , which was crucial for them not to disband, i would cry with them because they just kept saying
"we will work hard to bring you even better music"..all they did was work hard.they just needed more people to see their message.
To be honest I've always been proud of them in every step of the way, I'm happy I found them when we needed each other, and I'm happy they found themselves and never let people get them down, I'm proud of the journey we went down and finally got more fans and people around the world to hear their message ☺️💜💜 now they don't have to work as hard.. but with their personalities You know they'll keep pushing themselves to be better, that's just who the Bangtan Boys are..
I never cringe at their past , idk why i didn't expect themselves to cringe...i guess it's cause I watched them grow into the people they are today, I've always been proud of all their hard work and effort they put into performing.. also I saw it as this: Bangtan bombs were still times they put on a mask to entertain people so not all of it was their actual personalities.. i mean when they used their tough guy stage performer acting in Bangtan bombs...so I didn't cringe cause it was like they were entertaining us.. we got to see the difference when they sat down to do their vlogs... They talked to us like we were their diary they felt the most real, they were vulnerable with us telling us what was hurting them....i feel like over time they slowly got rid of their tough guy persona and started just not caring what others thought of them, they became more calm and collected and overtime no longer needed to entertain us because they know now Army know them and know we enjoy all sides of them that they put out in Bangtan bombs now a days

@@natsch578 i was watching a b.a.p music video and their debut trailer for No More dream was recommended next , i thought it was a really cool sound so I subscribed to their youtube channel to see them when they Debuted... From then on i found a channel that english subbed their Bangtan bombs/vlogs, & was the first group I had a personal connection to (still to this day) and also every comeback i got so excited , their comeback Trailers had a really cool animations i got hyped everytime wondering what will surprise me next!

Aww debut Bangtan were so adorable and precious. It was their "bad boy" aesthetic era but once they were off-stage you could see that they were a bunch of kind kids at heart. They were lovely at each stage of their careers.
