I was at Waterkloof air Force base when at sundown I watched the pilots being seated into a Buccaneer , watched them take off , never to return, they crashed, I never knew why they crashed.
My other memories are escorting a Pommie tech who put his head into a hole at the Buccaneer tail and did some work , not that I could inspect his work.
The tail of the Buccaneer opened up on landing to break its speed.
