I recently got my CharterMade skiving knife from RM leather. It makes a huge difference having a SHARP knife. This knife is extremely sharp, the sharpest knife I own. As you said, much safer, more control, and I can actually make a decent skive. Thank you!

I’ve been looking at this knife you used in this video and I like to know why you use the double bevel on it. The large bevel and then the very thin cutting edge bevel. Is that large bevel flat or is it curved by the way? And I like to know how you sharpen this particular knife given that it does have that curved in the corner.

HI, I'm thinking of getting a skiving knife and have seen so many types it's mind-boggling. I love the look of your knife and your technique is awesome. I'm a chef so I like to have the best quality in all of my cutting implements. What knife do you recommend for a newbie? Is the knife in the video above your go to skiver most of the time? Lastly do you have a video on stropping? Thank you.

Do you skive before burnishing? Or after?

Thanks a lot for the tutorial and beautiful knife. Do you also use this knife for longer skives on belt ends?

The knives look great. Am considering purchasing from Singapore. Is Rocky Mountain the only source to buy it from or is there a closer source I can find to ship to Singapore? Many thanks!:)

How should I decide which skiving knife to purchase? Looking at the Japanese knives you make and the one in this video? Also, what type of compound do you use for your strop? Sorry for all the questions. I’m in Hawaii so I assume I would order from rmleathersupply? Thank you!

Which knife to purchase mmmmmm, the knife I have personally used the most of all the knives is my original skiver with the corner one side. I do way more than just skive with this blade. My strop will have the finest polishing compound on it. Different countries use different colours but if you get the finest polishing compound you will be good. Yeah, Rm has some of my knives and if you wanting something more custom drop me an email. Regards Terrick
