  • 8/7/2024 Day 2 of Hurricane Debbie swell on Lake Erie. A lot of places still don't have power, roads closed, and damage to houses and other buildings. The wind calmed just a bit but the waves maintained size from chest to head high with a rare overhead rouge every few sets. The air and water temperature is still in the mid 70's (F). The bone yard of logs from the day before wasn't as prominent but there was still a hefty amount of debris and hazards to look out for at Spitzer's. I think the second wave I got was by far the best wave of the day. The faces were steep but no barrels. I've been behind on editing the footage with all the wind on the lake. I've been able to go out almost everyday for a week straight and I haven't made any time to edit the footage. I'm shooting on the GoPro hero 11, 16:9 frame, Wide view, 4k 60fps. I was on superview the day before. I think the wide view is the ideal view for wave pov shots. Let me know what you think. Enjoy!
