I'm here in Korea now. I'm a black woman. I think I'm being treated great by many koreans. Even the older ones have been nice, smiling, and complimenting me. I haven't run into anyone so far that has made me feel out of place. So far I love it here ❤❤❤❤
I've never been to South Korea but I met some South Koreans on an English course I took in California USA. I found them super polite, delicate. A couple who found out that I was Brazilian told me that they had been to Brazil and loved my country. A day later, they both appeared dressed in shirts with inscriptions about Brazil, like t-shirts that are sold to tourists. I thought the tribute was beautiful🥰
I'm Asian, and the Brazilians I came across in California were racist toward me and other Asians. I was shocked by their open and aggressive attitude. I think it is because in Brazil, bullying toward Asians is common and even televised. Do you know what Raul Gil did on television? This is not about you. This is about the cultural acceptance of racism in Brazil. Not everyone is like that, but when the culture is allowing this on Television, it allows individuals to copy that behavior.
The honesty you guys display is wonderful. I appreciate it so much. I have nothing but respect for you two. Your husband is funny. Love for your International family USA❤️❤️❤️❤️🦴

I recently watched a vlog that mentioned that it has only been about 35 years since Korea lifted it's travel restrictions to allow anyone wanting to travel outside of Korea to do so. It put alot of questions into perspective when I heard this as I often wondered why the outside world knows so little about Korea and Koreans know so little about the outside world. As for the language, I do have to say that it is probably one of the most difficult languages to learn as there are three different level (formal, informal and casual) to it. Depending on who you are talking to determines which level you use. In western culture, we consider it rude to ask someone their age, especially a woman. However in Korean culture and language it is important to know the age as it determines which level of the language you will address the individual. As for racism, unfortunately, I think that exists in every country. I think that for Korea, it is something more talked about because in the past, there were not many foreigners and so few Koreans travelled outside of Korea. Interracial relationships/marriages are common in western countries. However, this doesn't mean there isn't racism but I think it makes it much more difficult to determine a person's race because it is so common. I enjoy topic like this as it allows and gives us a better understanding of others culture and perspective.
I’m a Filipino born and raised in America🇵🇭 Besides trying to learn Filipino, I am also trying to learn Korean at home. South Korea is one of the places on my travel list and I hope to visit someday🇰🇷감사합니다 and 사랑해🫰🏻
I have been to South Korea twice in the past two years and I have no problems communicating with the locals in English at malls or restaurants etc. I looove South Korea and planning to go back again this year.
Like your motto, live life. You guys are so chill. So proud of Aisha. Good mom, good wife, good role model, etc. You model, you have crochet you tube, you do yoga, cook healthy meals, love nature and so forth. I get positive vibes watching your videos. Whole family is beautiful.
I really enjoyed this video! I love learning about different cultures and countries. Hopefully one day my family and I can visit Korea. Its such a beautiful country. Thank you for a mid week upload🤗.
Actually, I believe they stare because they see that you are a beautiful woman. It seems that you have an “it does not matter why they stare“ which is also good. Your priority is you, and family, not what’s around you. Great video. Thank you.
I truly enjoyed this Q&A. Jungu is sooo funny. I can see where Fanta gets her personality from. And both you and Jungu have a great chemistry. I was cracking up when he said Aisha thinks about what to say in Korean with a straight face LOL. And Aisha was hilarious too, make baby with a straight face and we only say nice things. And Ardho LOL what did you eat our sweet baby.
I read the reason is because South Korea women do not want to lose their freedom. Single parenting is frowned upon and when they get married they lose themselves because of the role expected of wives in South Korea.
Aisha, people state at you because not only are you beautiful but also you are a model (taller stature/ model figure women such as yourself will naturally make heads turn everywhere they go). I am a woman myself and when I see a tall woman, I definitely do a double take and if she's beautiful, I will look at her more than once (admiring her beauty).
I am Aisha, lol I only speak English but I have the same internal dialogue with myself before speaking to people because I want to ensure I am saying the right thing and using the best words to express my thoughts. I can never just talk like others, but I'm slowly learning.
Good afternoon Aisha and jungu love your video Aisha the reason they stare is because you and your gorgeous looking husband have these beautiful children i love me some princess Fanta she so cute love you from new york
Don’t follow trend and you will be content in what you have, chasing to be accepted by people is the only way one can try to go trend. Live your life in a way that makes you happy not others cause even most of them their not happy with themselves. 👏👏 you are right guys and I’m glad you live like that
I love your chemistry! 💕 these Q&As with Jungu are always the best cause they show both your personalities & perspectives. 😂. Love watching you guys! Content idea: would you mind sharing with us hacks to save money while living in Korea?. Maybe membership cards or best times to grocery shop, best places to buy this & that etc. Also I’d I know this is completely unrelated but I’m curious about what it’s like in the Korean military service. Would Jungu be interested in sharing? & how’re you Korean classes going? I’ve been learning for almost 2 years now. Can’t say I’m fluent but you seem to speak is soo fluently, I was wondering from where & how you study if you don’t mind sharing 💕
I'll ask if we wants to share that^^ And at the moment I don't take any classes (too busy lol) however I really enjoyed practicing with TalkToMeInKorean - their podcasts and transcripts. as for grammar I used the official books from the korean KIIP...
Maternity leave I America is six to eight weeks for Mom, Dad more than likely has no leave. Of course, if he has vacation or sick leave he can use that to be at home. Daycare in America for a child like Ari’s - depends on where you live but I have seen it as low as $120 per week to $300 per week……very expensive!!!!’
Hi Fam what a nice Thursday present. I got the alert but wasn't able to watch it earlier because I was at work. What a nice Thursday pick me up it was such a fun video thank you for making it tell Ardho it's okay everybody passes gas😂😂😂 see you Sunday❤
This so true…. I was only off from work for about six months…. it was really hard to leave my baby….finding a good daycare was hard. I was really thankful my Grandma and mother helped me with my baby. I want to visit South Korea…. Just to eat and sight see…. I already expect to be stared at …. Because it happens all the time 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂great vlog…Aldo even participated 😅😅😅he is so adorable
same here haha mostly also because they don't understand what you're saying because it's pronounced wrongly. And then when I write it down they're like AHHHHHH lol... but at least we always have a good laugh afterwards^^
Thanks for this video I enjoyed the honesty that you showed I appreciate very greatly and the Racism is everywhere no matter where you go. I hope your kids won’t have any issues relating to the mother is a foreigner like my daughter did at school because she can speaks Spanish and English too Blessings to y’all from Atlanta
I'm dating a Korean man and we only speak in English. Sometimes I don't understand anymore, love works wonders! I hope to enjoy living in Korea, I'm Brazilian and where I live in Rio de Janeiro we have 200 km of sea! Will I miss this?
Because of the both of you i looked up the movie ( The get down brothers lol ) one of my old favourite is ( love and badketball ) both of you might enjoy it.
If real life in Korea is like anything like the dramas, then I think the corporate workplace culture has impacted a lot on women’s life decisions. I get the impression from the dramas that women are made to feel they cannot work and have a family at the same time. They should choose one or the other. Is that true in the real world?
As someone who lives in America (born in Jamaica), from my observation the main reason has to do with society/culture. Here people don't typically have as much pressure to be married and have children. More children are born outside of marriage than within. Also, Koreans are big on taking care of the elderly once you marry into a family and even living together in one house. Women have to take on too many things once they marry and then the often don't receive the respect of benefits of marriage. Also, I think a big fear is being submissive to their spouse and in-laws. In America we don't typically cater to our in-laws like Koreans, that includes all the rituals you keep. Fertility has to do a lot with age. It is shamed to have children in teenage years there, or outside of marriage. By time most women are in a position to have kids they are early or late 30s. Just my thoughts.
Hey u both l really enjoyed your video 2x about Korea and people l laugh when u laugh all funny jokes u make , l enjoyed great ! Much Love to your kids❤❤
Am shock as to why the government doesn’t count the 947+ children left at the baby box are not counted😔😢 The big stigma of single and unwed parents giving birth. The parents and child pay a big price. The child gets ridicule for not having a father in its life.
Honestly, sounds very similar to the Hispanic culture in as far as when we say, "si, si, si, no, no, si." Did we agree or disagree with you? LOL! I think all cultures have a thread of similarity in some form or another. Lovely, video!
I loved the honesty in the video but on babies in korea i tend to feel there more materialistic and that mindset sort of stops someone from thinking of something else cause they feel they wont be able to enjoy themselves once they have kids but its sort of sad cause a race could die out. But this doesnt apply to all seeing everyone is different and lots of love ❤❤ from Zambia 🇿🇲 in Africa wish you and your family happiness
You guys are SO funny. I’m American and want to get married but the way men think here has gone from super traditional to non traditional. I feel like I need to move to another country just to get a loving husband. It’s really bad here as am American black woman, many of us are leaving for reasons like rent is too high, work life balance is not the best, and of racism is America. I can’t wait to travel and leave America.
Yes I’m an American Black woman though I’m married by the grace of God to a a good man, he is very rare. Most men in America are becoming more and more outrageous. They are for the most part behaving horribly but want traditional marriage with traditional women while acting very liberally themselves it’s “ass backwards” as we say. lol I don’t blame u.
I am Korean living in NY but I think Korean people stare at you Aisha because you are stunningly beautiful ❤
I totally agree!
thank you😅
맞다요 ㅋ

I agree. Many times ppl get into their own heads, but most of us take a ‘double take’… (quickly look twice), when we admire beauty. ♥️♥️
Amei! Make a baby! 😁😁
They’re looking at Aisha because she’s so beautiful 🥰
If Korean look at Aisha, it’s because she is pretty!
