11:42, whoa, Det vs Steve Poppolo, two guys with aggressive, exaggerated approaches. Steve practically galloped to the foul line. I remember Don describing it as both bowlers really "attacking" the pins.
Never had the opportunity to play candlepin bowling, looks fun,but amazingly difficult and frustrating at the same time. I would need 5 shots each frame to get all 10 down, and perhaps a few shots at a local bar afterwards to forget my scores, lol
Candlepin is really fun. I've tried 10 pin before and can't get the hang of it. One of the great things about candlepin is you can use the dropped pins to help make shots.
This match aired on 15 April 1989.
Bizarre that this was so long ago and that game is still not popular.

That's a match I wish someone had to put up on TH-cam. All that arm flailing and running up to the line... just watching those two would wear me out!
I wonder if Winslow Maine was the furthest commute for anyone that ever appeared on Channel 5? That in itself to Natick is almost a 3 1/2 hour drive.

David punched the head pin just about every shot the first game. Brutal. That's candlepins!
