Lmao. The coach, Mike Leach, was known for being an interesting fellow that had fun with the media. Lol someone had asked him to talk about which Pac12 mascot would win in a real fight. 😂😂 so he went down the list discussing the pros and cons for each. Haha such a good video if you guys ever watch it. RIP Coach Leach.
@@coletripp4814 lol yes. That was an awesome story too. Very high intellect guy. I believe He was an attorney before making the smart decision to coach.
3:30 Rest in Peace MIke Leach. In a sport filled with coaches who literally know nothing outside of football (or golf on their rare days off), Mike Leach would answer questions with diatribes about Greek mythology and life on other planets. But he would also excoriate his players whenever they became complacent. Once he complained about his players' "fat little girlfriends." A true original.
6:22 - College GameDay (the pregame show that that clip is from) travels to the site of a big game every week and has a guest associated with the home school or town in some way join them at the end for the segment where they make their predictions. This was an LSU-Texas game; Matthew McConaughey is a huge Texas fan. It's been a long-running gag that putting on one of the mascot heads is how Lee Corso (one of the main guys on the show) reveals his pick for the game they're at.
2:57 RIP Mike Leach. Should definitely check out a compilation of him. The dude was a great guy and character.. One of the great college football coaching personalities that you don't see much of nowadays. Sad that he unexpectedly passed at the end of last season.. I personally love the classic video where he chewed out his locker room after they won. It was epic.
Mike Leach! Sorely missed. Coach Leach on commitment…it’s like breakfast, eggs and bacon…the chicken’s involved but the pig is committed 😂😂😂 I’m sure there are compilations of him out there. R.I.P.
Watching Mike Leach coach at Mississippi State these past few years, it was truly amazing and get to see his personality and mind work in the hardest conference in the game. Rest easy Pirate. 🏴☠️♥️ Edit: Y’all should definitely do a reaction to Mike Leach. Truly one of a kind and a creator of the way the game is played on the offensive side of the ball.
The coach in the press conference was rambling on about the mascots of the teams in his conference. He was being tongue and cheek about it lol. Also RIP Mike Leach
" A tree would get cut down, unless you go with the bird, and somebody might get pecked". LOL!! Nobody else in the world would know what he is talking about here :-)
RIP Mike Leach. He was talking about how all the other mascots in the Pac 12 (RIP) would fare against the Cougars of his Washington State. We miss ya Pirate.
Leach was a character like Klopp (Leach had an idea of football similar to Gegen Pressing called the Air Raid) who coached fairly mediocre teams (sorry Tech, WazzU, and Miss St fans) and just said whatever the hell he wanted. He was like late era Brian Clough with a little fewer drinks.
I can't believe I've never heard of coach Leach before. That was so brilliantly funny especially out of context. But I knew every Pac-12 team he was talking about so I picked up on it. I gotta see some more interviews with him.
Gotta see him chewing out his players after a win when he was coaching Texas Tech. It's great. He was the OC for my Sooners during Bob Stoops' first year coaching OU.
That punch one reminds me of the movie The Replacements where they were replacement players for the team striking. John Madden was co-broadcasting and when a player scored, got clocked in the face and fell down lol. So he said "there's a saying in football. Don't do anything great if you can't handle the celebration." lol.
I think these *were* all from September 2019. Whenever you see the "150" patch on the jerseys, that means it's from the 2019 season because that's when they were celebrating 150 years of college football. That same year also happened to be the 100th anniversary of the NFL, and they too commemorated the occasion with a special logo that could be found on the front of the collar.
First play is brutal, the teams are big rivals and Iowa State hadn’t beat Iowa for a couple years and this was one of the best opportunities to do it, and they finished it just like how Iowa State always did, many cyclone fans sat through a long lightning delay just to lose like this
The lonely guy in blue during the jump around is a University of Michigan fan.. they always do that sort of thing at opposing teams stadiums. Thats is one of the many reasons the UM fans are disliked. And they are total tools everywhere else
RIP Mike Leach

The locker room video of him after beating Baylor is a classic. Def look that one up if you have not seen it.

I liked the coach talking about each team’s mascot and how they could win.

Auburn always has problems with bulldog mascots.
We miss Mike Leach.😢
We really miss coach Leach! Legend!

4:16 My answer would have been "I'm not even going to go there... Just, not going there..." Ah native american mascots. 😅
Need a mike leach reaction
The entire video is soul snatching 😂
Hey guys. Watch Mike Leach's best sound bytes. He was one of a kind. He died suddenly and unexpectedly this year. He was golden.
These hilarious thank you for sharing them
Thanks blokes for the content
9:06 Tackled the Catholicism out that man. Rumor has it, that punter converted to Buddhism after the game.
You should Google Bob Green, Montana Tech head coach. This guy is hilarious
