This comp is missing 2 different legendary finishes btw, future gohan and omega shenron, also the reason some parts look weird is because the game is animated for portrait mode and not landscape mode so usually you can't see that much to the sides

The "funky" boxes is due to the game being recorded on desktop rather than a phone so it doesn't fill out properly it looks 10x better on a phone

24:18 looks funky because you are not supposed to see the sides. DB Legends its played with the screen in vertical position, and you dont see the sides.
The person playing this probably used a program to capture all the files, and just used the whoooole background (even the parts we shouldnt see), just so it filled the whole screen, and to not have the 2 huge black bars on each side of the screen.
Many games, including DB FighterZ, use screen tricks to only show you what you need to see and not what you dont need to see so it can run smoother.
Thats why that background doesnt take the entire widescreen. You wont see that anyway, so you can use that processing power on something else.

He fights for way less time and the gauge reduces everytime you get hit or use a card and when it reaches 0 the transcendent kamehameha activates, not when the opponent reaches certain hp

Fun fact:this was probably the first game to have beast gohan in it and have dragon ball super gogeta and full power broly before the movie even released + plus the gammas that they didnt even have english voicelines added so they resorted to using japenese voicelines
fun fact: IT WAS the first game. You are ABSOLUTELY CORRECT. Broly came during the same day as the movie in the game, later on we got Super Saiyan God Vegeta (red form) and then Gogeta. But only BASE to SSJ. We still had to wait 2 more years for the BLUE form.

There are special units that are like dual units, that lets you switch between character, like this Goku and Vegeta, who count as one.
This unit its supposed to be that time when they were fighting Kid Buu and Vegeta was like "Hey, Kakarot, dont worry about my turn, just kill him", and Goku was like "I cant. I need to charge for a minute if I want to land the finishing blow", and Vegeta was like "aight, Im gonna stall for you", and the kamehameha is kind of what could have happened if Goku actually charged and didnt fizzle out like what actually happened in the fight.
For Goku to pull out the last kamehameha, you have to fight as Vegeta.

This game is called the Hit Mobile GACHA Game Dragon ball Legends.
I have been Playing it since launch, and man this Game made me mad and happy at the same time.
IT has one of the best, if not the best Animations on a Mobile game.
DRAGON BALL LEGENDS was also the VERY FIRST Game that brought SON GOHAN BEAST into a GAME, before anyone else had it. Not even CARD GAMES had him.
anyways this Game has PvP, PvE and a Story that relies on the character that you seen beaten up. He is called SHALLOT, he is the MAIN character of this game. More like Game Original character of Dragon Ball Legends
The Characters Attacks that you watched where Released in the exact oder of the game.
Legendary Finish (or LF for short or LEGENDS LIMITED as in LL) have been released for the first time in 2019. durin that time in 2019 throughout end of 2020, LL characters were released every 3 to 4 months. At the start of 2021 they decided to release them more often such as Every MONTH.
Also the last 4 units that you seen, Super Vegetto, Gogeta Blue, God Goku and Ultimate Gohan, where the LAST characters that were released during the 6th Year anniversary campaign, which ended 3 weeks ago. Yes this game is 6 YEARS old now lol
Normal the game doesnt play on Landscape mode. But someone was able to Mod the game in that mode. That is also why you seen most of the left or rightside animations like goku&freezer very buggy.

There is the Rarity called ULTRA (it does not have any Legendary finish, but an Animated INTRO when clicking the Card (it shows an INK Brush animation thats COOKING more then alot of games) and an Animation as soon as you enter a BATTLE in game. If you ever wana check that out, some ppl made a video of it. Infact i was planning on making them myself too. but Unfortunately i dont own every ULTRA character, because they are by far the hardest to get in the game.
I also loved and hated this game at the same time during my year+ time of playing,unfortunately the game started legitimately tweaking for me 2 days ago,its usually quick loadings suddenly started taking way too long,couldn't even properly load the in game news section,tried reinstalling it and now turns out it also suddenly can't even get to the title screen

During the ssj3 goku and ssj2 vegeta lf from the Buu saga in the game their a tag unit so basically 2 in 1 and in the game you go into standby mode where you hold out as vegeta as a timer for goku to fire off his kamehameha goes down same with gamma 1 and 2

There are Tag Units in DBL, Where they don't get a Ultimate art or a main ability, it gets replaced with a switch ability, pressing their icon allows you to switch from character 1 to character 2, a reference is Blue goku/BLue vegeta in the broly movie, they don't got a ultimate art but their LF happens if they kill with a blue card
The reason why it looks weird is because the game isn’t meant for Landscape mode.
You should rewatch them in your free time to see the animations at its best.

The character getting beat up is Shallot, a free (pure) saiyan character card that they give to every player. As of current content, Shallot can go up to super saiyan blue.

Do Dokkan Battle Super Attack, Active Skill, Stand by, and Transformation Animations Next. Some of the older stuff isn't amazing now-a-days, but in 2024 2023 and some of the older ones that were peak for the time they were made is fire.
(Free views too since the international version of the game is coming off their last solo anniversary and both games are going into the World Wide Download Celebration marking the beginning of the Jpn and International versions content timelines being synced.)
