I'm a 3rd generation p/k & worship team leaders kid on both mom and dads side. When I used to compose I felt that I had to layer up on meanings and tuck in my reality under the actual lyrics that went on "stage". I am a no name lol. Some of your lyrics say you've never been in love and some say you've been betrayed in love. I think of my cousin, who used to look so much like you do currently when we were your age. He took till forever to get hitched in part because of a temporary betrayal he suffered in his family when his mom stepped out for awhile. Miraculously their marriage survived but I think it did a number on their son. The betrayal in my family drove me to the brink and I ran away for the final time when I was 17. I'm beyond thankful to be freed of the crazies. I'm composing my life now. I'm surviving the swells and rhythm of motherhood and its intense. Our son is like you, he's a natural musician and his mind loops. Loops on beets and sounds. I love the middle section of this song where you do double Dutch on the lyrics and stack and add to them and you do it in tight time. Our son is giving me a terrible time with stubbornness especially during home schooling. My songs now are patience and steadfast endurance and love in the face of disrespect. My song is firm discipline when I'm aching for peace. My songs are rooted in God's promises, in pitch black faith that looks to the picture in His words. The songs resolve every single time in harmony and it makes the discords almost beautiful. Gen 50:20, ok?
